Hey guys what sort of sound systems are u running in ur GTR's, i was thinking about doing a nice setout of speakers in the rear and doors and a good head unit, dont rly want to touch subs as its just weight the car does not need.

im on lunch atm but its been dead at work all day.

i reccon i can do all 3 at the same time, challenge accepted hahahaha

after 3 years it does not count on insurace anymore so yeh it will be perfect for that so no extras on premium or excess.

I have a perfect driving reccord besides a licence suspension on my Ps got cought speeding on double demerits lost all my points in 1 fine, only time i have ever been booked for anything and that was 3 yrs + ago now i think.

yeh that is with adjusted excess, i can get it down to 2.5k if i pay for a year up front, i had to refund it when i blew the engine to help put a deposit down and swapped to monthly payments, when i get the car back ill swap to a year up front again and save $500.

Well i made just car up what my car was insured for yesterday also to cover the new engine to, cost me $7 a month more, so now im paying like $3000 a year or $250 monthly. I have to swap back to year up front its like $500 less or something stupid like that. I guess thats what i get for being 23 and owning a 34 GTR

Well, morning boys, further more on the Immob in my GTR i worked out what it was last night found some papers i got with the car. Found the docket from when they guy paid to ahve it put in, he paid $300+ for it, what a fool $100 item LOLOL So i meet my insurance requirements so im sweet dont need to replace it Got the new key on the way from justjap will get it cloned and cut so spair set of keys obtained.

man excitement is setting in for getting the GTR back already, i cant wait, it has been soooooo long since i have driven her. this cruise is gona be awesome to, engine will be run in for this also .

The wood is strong in this one. and sundays are good i never work a sunday. im going to orange for the week b4 that get back on friday have to work saturday then epic cruise on sunday to unwind and work out all emotions i have for not driving her for a week. dont think i could ask for more

BTW whats the date of this thing? 21st of next months?

hey man my wood is always good Ok just bought the new key, will have it coded once i get the car back, then ill sort out the immobiliser, atleast ill have a spare key now

well, some think planks of wood if no one has any propper ramps like the ones u use to get cars on the back of a trailer, use them to take out a heap of the angle off the ferry ramp

we could bring some ramps.

Yeh mine flash also and if i leave the car idle and dont turn it on or anything after about 30 seconds it locks everything out, the car wont start dash wont light up i have to hit the unlock button again and then it will come to life.

yeh im not worried about it getting stolen, im more worried about losing my keys and not being able to get into the car and i want an alarm for POM. So looks like my local lock smith may be able to code the key for me for $130 just have to take the key around and see if they can clone it if they can ezy done on the new key from justjap, if that fails its Nissan at hornsby for $180. The immobiliser looks like i have to have an aus standard one installed for justcar to be ok with it does not mention how many points it needs to be that i can see anywhere. so i think ill look at mongoose and Viper see what i can find for that.

Hmm, well my key has a transponder in it apparently so, genuine R34 GTR key with transponder $130 and $180 for nissan at hornsby to code it for me, so quite expensive just to get a spare key. Can anyone confirm the transponder in the GTR keys? i rly have NFI about it.

Yeh i just got quoted around 1k for a full Viper alarm with turbo timer and immob, but its not a 4 point and the only insurance company that will touch me since im 23 is just car at this stage and they require a 4 point in the car and i now need to find a dam key with a transponder in it and whats even better is i dont have the code for the transponder i hope they can code it off the key i have.

Hey guys i have a question about the transponder in the R34 GTR keys, my car has a aftermarket immobiliser installed and the original remote is not used, i only have 1 key and 1 remote for the car and i want to get a 2nd key/remote. What i want to know is the transponder in the key, is that still used when an aftermarket immobiliser is installed? and where can i get a 2nd remote for it. and am i better off just going and getting a new immobiliser/alarm put in that i have all the codes/info for and spares.
