The car is getting CP Pistons Manly Turbo tough rods 1000hp Tomei Head gasket Tomei Baffle pan Mines Cam baffle Tomei Oil restrictor ACL bearings studs Tomei valve springs Gates racing timeing belt kit Gasket kit probs more that i cant think of but thats the main guts of it. i will see how i go when it gets closer to it, its around about 1k more for the nitto pump if i can strech it out then ill bag that or go the N1 if i cant.
  4. Ok so my build has been confirmed and now i need to chose an oil pump. my options are a N1 pump or a NItto Pump, what does everyone think?

Im going to to a forged build but i think im going to use the same size pistons to try to cut down labour on it, im going to have to garrage it for 2-3 months b4 i can do it and ill pay cash for it. I need this thing to be bullet proof, not for big power but for reliablity as i want to use it as a daily. im doing around 120km a day atm but i will be moving closer to my work in the next 6 months so this will cut right down, i just want to enjoy the car and not have to worry about blowing it out again so doing it right the 1st time. Im looking at getting power tune or the shop on the coast to do it at this point depends who can give me the best price and service.

Yeh im waiting on a price to do the oil system and clean the block out and replace bearings, i think this is the best option for me, im also seeing if i can borrow a car from my parents for a few months, if only this happend in 3 months time i would have been ok but 2 weeks after i bought the car, i also think the guy i got it from knew it was shagged as he has not returned any txts or calls and i still have his peronalised numberplates that he wanted me to send back.

I am really out of my league with this sort of stuff and im lost, but i think what u said sean makes seance to me, im not going to be running huge boost or power so there is no point in doing the forged internals thats just a waste of cash on the parts and the machine work.   9. hey guys so after spinning the big end in my 34 GTR on the weekend i have decided to sell my gaming PC to try to come up with more funds to rebuild the car faster.   11. Gave it a bit when out with some m8s. did some spirited driving down the old pacific highway in my area pulled up drove off and noise was there. i gave it to it hard once the hole night and after that was done.

Hey guys, im just wondering what would need to be replaced in the engine besides the bearings as they are shagged if i was to keep stock internals and do oil management (baffle and oil restrictor and N1 pump) this is all i feel i really need to do as im not going to use it to break land speed records.....yet This was my list so far N1 oil pump $350 Water pump $150 Baffle pan $350 Timing belt $100 Head gasket $260 Restrictor $3 ACL bearings $300 ARP Head Stud Kit $300 (not sure if i will need this or not)
  14. yep i was just quoted around 2.5k to pull it out do the bearings put it back in, and 7k for a full rebuild with baffle and restrictor, im thinking maybe i should try a diff shop for quotes all i really want to do is prevent this from happening again i dont need to put forged internals in the car as im only running it stock and dont have plans for massive KW i bought the car to drive it stock not to pack $$$$ into the engine to make it fly. Jez what do u think of this price wise? and does anyone else konw any good shops in Sydney/central coast i can talk to?
  15. yeh thanks man, if i have any issues with tuff tune i will 100% be giving u a call tho its good to know we have ppl on the coast that can look after the great Godzilla. a big thanks to everyone also for help diagnosing the issue, the advice on the tow truck probably saved me a crank also so cheers everyone its appreciated.

Car is with Tuff Tune at tuggerah, its big end, looks like im going to be doing ACl bearings, baffle, N1 oil pump and putting it back togeather, ill probs get timing belt and water pump done while its out also, dont have the cash flow to do pistions and shit now, if it only went in 6 months and not right after i bought it.....

  18. ok so there is no good performance mechanics within 100km of me, i have to get the car into sydney to have it rebuilt, i live on the central coast so if anyone knows a shop that can diagnise it and check it all out plz let me knw. I paid 39k for her + on roads from outerstate cost me 45k in the end, i had the car checked by nissan they pulled turbos off compression test ect, but i guess i have oil starvation at high speed.

  20. i would have thought if it was a big end or blown engine that the noise would have been there the whole time and not just when i accelerate in 1st and 2nd, and over 3k rpm in 3rd the noise is gone alltogeather. yeh 3 months and i would have the cash to rebuild it but getting to work is a real pig without a car.

  22. nar its there cold or warm car did not over hear or drop oil pressue at all. it sounds like its coming from near the injectors also
  23. the noise does not happen at idle only when im in 1st and 2nd then after 3k rpm in 3rd it goes.
  24. Well if it is a rebuild im f**ked, this is my daily and i dont have the cash to rebuild it atm. sigh to the mechanics tomorrow.....

Yeh i did, had nissan in tasie go over the car, they pulled off the turbos did a compression test, all came up good, the onlythings they found was diff pinion seal needed to be replaced and also weaping sump, oil pressure is fine and oil is full, it is rather black tho so this is y im gettihng it changed tomorrow and adding the lifter addative.
