Hey... As the subject says, im after a nice airfilter box for a HKS pod... I know they can be made (seen some nice instructions searching the site), but with my current circumstances i cannot afford the time to make one, and i need one within the next week or two... I know UAS do them for about $195 - so if i cant find a cheaper solution i will have to pay this exhorbitant sum ... :Oops: Cut a long story short, i got a warning for no box - but since my car is known, i know next time i wont be so lucky. Ive been wanting to do a heat shield anyway, so killing 2 birds with one stone.. Im after... 1) Someone who has one for sale, and the unit will install nicely (stock intercooler, although i suppose it doesnt matter much except for hose location) 2) Someone who has done one, and would like to make some easy money by duplicating what they have, meeting up with me, etc.... PM me with your details, pics, etc.....

Hey All.. When the car is started cold (as in first thing in the morning, on the way home from work), the first few changes from 1st to 2nd crunch a tiny bit... However it always disappears after about 3-4 mins... Anything to worry about ?? Regaular occurance ?? :confused:

Hey All... With the HKS adjustable cam gears, do you need engine management to retard and get the full potential... Eg: no boost, full 3" exhaust including dump pipe and the gears ??

OK- fess up time !! I had a 2000 VT SS Commodore, Gen III. Modded mildly, it was pulling low 13's with just an exhaust, extractors, CAI and program. Reason why i went the skyline ?? Although slower (as compared to same mods & cash needed to get the same performance), the skyline is a more capable all round car, in terms of handling. Straight line power is fun for a while, but as a daily driver it is a bit of a barge ass...not to mention i got jack of the holden build quality..

Just as an aside, looks like meguiars on their website have a profile you can do on your car... They recommend stuff based on how often you wash and what results you are after....good idea... www.meguiars.com.au

Hi Guys... We all know the good waxes to use, like the meguiars gold class, but i was thinking more of the commercial deals where you dont have to wax for months... Crystal car wash offers a full clean & wax for $325, and they reckon you wont have to wax the car for 14 months guaranteed. This works out to about $23 per month to not wax the car and have a good look...bargain or not ?? One other thing to possibly try is to clean the throttle body.... I had the same issue, gave it a major clean and its gone away...

Still - "handing over the keys" could be a serious loophole.. For all those people on the forums who take care of their pride and joy, you still hand over your keys to people... Examples are... Mechanic - including tyre fitting outfit, security system install, normal service and stereo installs.. Valet parking attendant (greater security than public parking ??) possibly a friend, maybe if you had too much to drink to drive home If Famous are going to refuse to pay on the above situations, thats a bit harsh... i can understand giving the keys to a friend that treated the car like shit or was borrowing the car for more than a few hours...

Hi Guys... Another embarassing noob question here.. :Oops: Regarding tyres, does the psi required change depending on profile and size ?? For example, i have 235/45 on the front, and 265/35 on the rear (18 inch).. Should they all equally be inflated same psi ?? Back harder ?? Front harder ??

Hi Rigga... yea i know - ive only had the car for a week an a bit. For now, im concentrating on getting the 100k service done, and after that ill tackle the heat shield !! Having said that, the car goes great guns !!
