  1. Thanks Guys... Thats what i thought.. The car im buying (R33) has the compliance year on the rego papers, and the finance company baulked at it when all other papers say the year of manufacture... Bloody RTA stuffed up !!
  2. Hi Guys... Question: With the rego papers for your import car, which year is shown ?? Manufacture year ?? Compliance year ?? Thanks...
  3. Thanks Strutto - ill check them out...
  4. Thanks For the response guys... Strutto - 6.5" will fit into an R33 series 1 ?? I thought from my searching that it was either a tight fit or needed some dremelling ?? Anyone know about the Hertz HKS165 - any good ?? Straight fit ?? http://www.webaudiodirect.com/prod236.htm
  5. Hi Guys.. Did a search, and found way too many naughty words like "dremel", "cut" and "shave" - so i thought i would post my question... Background: The car is a Series I R33. Ive already got an jvc kd-s785 4 X 45 mp3 deck with 3-way kenwood M series speakers in the rear....if i could change the front to something nice it will do me until i can afford a decent amp... Im looking to replace the front speakers with splits...however since im a total noob to the audio car game, id like to get something that will go in with minimum hassle and hopefully no modification to the doors or wiring... Any recommendations ? From my search, i think i need 6 inch, correct ?? Better still, if anyone had some recommendations for this setup (brand, size, etc) for less than $300 ?? Thanks in advance, Matt
  6. G'day... Thanks for the info - will definetely give them a call... Good to see there are some other coastie boys out there i can turn to... Being an ex-LS1'er, these cars are a learning curve for me...(and to be honest a step down in power !!) However, the total package of the R33 (handling, confirt) is much better than my other car !!
  7. Hi Guys.. Ive just recently purchased an R33... Due to the k's on the car (90k odd..) and the dubious nature of how reliable this is, i will probably be safe rather than sorry and get the 100k service done... Good thing is at least the previous owner has done oil changes every 5k, so the car isnt in bad nick maintanence wise.... Are there any places in the Central Coast that are reliable enough to perform this without ripping me off ?? If not, what are the good places in Sydney (closer to Ryde (where i work), the better) that could get this service done ?? Thanks Guys, Matt
  8. Quite possibly - how much you loking to spend ?? PM me for more info... Cheers, Matt
