  1. Just FYI for next time, those aren't pressure plates. They are the clutch plates. I love guys who are DIY and hands on So good work mate.
  2. Well the plan was to do the exhaust this weekend, but the promised parts and bends never arrived on time, trusty couriers... That will be next weekends job now, so stay tuned. I have quiet a few bits and pieces in the post atm, I will update once they arrive.
  3. Nice write up mate. Love how easy you make it seem to fit the LS1 in lol. Can't wait to see where this goes though
  4. A small update guys: I've always wanted the Greddy Multi D/A Gauge (all in one) but couldn't justify the money they wanted for them.. But when I found this I had to have it:

  6. Ahh right, thanks very much for that info Michael I was pretty sure that, that would be the case.
  7. Hmm, yeah okay. I could never get FAST to work with Windows 7 lol. I had it when i had XP with no worries. The valve block + solenoids that I have are the 23796 - 1N51B so the SR16VE one (the SR20VE never came in an N15) I knew I had to buy the whole solenoid block with solenoids, just to buy the solenoids (hence why I did). But that's okay, I got a pretty good deal on a brand new block + solenoids.
  8. It's good to know it looks similar to the RB25 solenoid. The GA16DE in the N15 Pulsar (non SR engine) also has VCT on the exhaust (i think), but no one has been able to confirm whether it would actually work in the VVL housing. Also I haven't been able to find a wrecker wiling to separate with the solenoid out of the engine.
  9. Haha, it's been like that lately Matt There is still more stuff in the post too! Nah both for VVL Michael. The closest one to the bolting face is for the intake cam, the other is for the exhaust. I bought new solenoids as mine are playing up a little bit from time to time. So time to eliminate the problem.. Also it's always good to have a spare.
  10. Thanks Jake Haha, do it Jared. It's a pretty straight forward conversion.
  11. Well this is how far I got with the heat wrap before I ran out..
  12. Bit of a small update: Just painted the headers in VHT Flameproof before I wrap them in heatwrap. It'll be black too
  13. Thanks alot guys. It won't be done quickly as there is still a bit of fabrication work to be done. But that cant be done until I know the spacing of the ITB's. I should receive my adapter plate and fuel rail soon enough.
  14. So these arrived today E46 M3 BMW 50mm ITB's
  15. Well not much of an update, but i decided to paint my rocker cover in crinkle coat black. What's your thoughts? I ended up putting it in the BBQ at 90* for about 15 - 20 minutes to tighten the crinkles up.
  16. A few photo's from when i changed the valve springs, retainers and the cam gears:
  17. Thanks mate I'm doing a bit of research and pricing atm on a standalone. Jez at DVS Tuning is helping me out there. Really great guy.
  18. Minor update, Cam gears, valve springs and retainers have been fitted. Had a couple of minor issues where the shim somehow popped out of the retainer bucket. I'm not sure whether it was due to poor lighting and upon installation the shim fell out or whether it popped out as i started it. I think the first one is the more likely explanation. Anyways all sorted now. I have to say though the springs and retainers have made the world of difference, it no longer gets any valve train noise around 8K + It sounds smooth throughout the whole range. I may be changing my direction slightly on the intake though, so stay tuned.
  19. Lol i wish, the bottom end is only good for about 8,800.
  20. Another minor update, it wasn't necessary, though it will make tuning a bit easier. I originally thought the top cam gear was a fake, I later confirmed off RHDJapan that the top cam gear was Tomei's earlier design. So all good
  21. Thanks dude It's all happening slowly but surely. When its all done Jez will be tuning it.
