Thanks for the replies so far. I have another sad update - the other day it completely stalled on me when pulling up at the lights and wouldn't start again. Luckily a bloke helped me push it off the road where I sat for half an hour with my tail between my legs, cranking it until it finally started. It is definitely getting worse as it stood me up yet again today at the shops; it didn't stall out of the blue but would not start at all when trying to leave (my fking ice cream melted). Ended up leaving it and going back down just before when thankfully it started after some coercing and a jump start. While cranking it in a rage tonight I tried unplugging the AFM - no difference. I'm leaning towards CAS but i'll try anything at this point. Not driving it until I get it replaced to recoup what little pride and sanity I have remaining. If you know of one for sale send it my way.

I've finally got the game running consistently and am loving it (first MMO). Been questing a bit with a mate but I am diggin the PvP scene, being an ex CS and CoD4 S&D player I like the round style gameplay. Currently on JekJek tar and the lag is really noticeable in pvp. Thinking I should transfer my character ("toon") to aus server but is it even available yet? A bit apprehensive cause I don't want to deal with wait times and lag. Can I only transfer one character or whats the go?

I used to head out an camp at the leyburn sprints heaps in school and after. One of my mates brothers had an old XY he used to flog around the course - and he was no expert. I'm sure you could give it a crack however they are 'historical' sprints so not sure what the categories are for cars. Maybe we should cruise out as a club for a peep on Sunday? Being the last day everyone goes a lot harder.

yeah mate, I was having the bogging down issue too until I cleaned my AFM. Not sure if this helps diagnose my issue further, but I notice the car seems to pop a lot more more between gear changes - especially when I am under it. I may just have to bite the bullet and get a new CAS, is it worth trying a second handy?

Yeah my mechanic speculated CAS originally but wouldn't that make it run dodgy more consistently or would it only be an issue for hot starts? It seems to be fairly erratic atm. Sometimes it will hot start fine, sometimes it will have a slight hesitation, other times I will have to crank it for a couple of minutes - let it sit for a few minutes - then try again. Dion - haven't seen any battery lights etc, and I put a new batt in only a month or 2 ago so hopefully not an issue. Running a multimeter over it sounds like a good idea - any specific areas I should check?

bit of an update - cleaned the AFM and filter and also taped up the plug as it looked a bit sad. Car hasn't stalled again as such but sometimes it's hard to start after a long drive. wtf could that be?

I've got a logitech keyboard with 12 gkeys on the left, I was thinking about using those. I do hate taking my hand away from my precious wasd though. In other news, this patching business is painful!

Stock rear bar comes with 'skyline' in silver or gold lettering, a lot of people remove all or a combination of the rear badges - personal preference. Different rear bars such as the Altia/GTR/S-Tune bars have 'skyline' embossed in the bar itself. Badge removal can be for a cleaner look, or due to a respray for whatever reason. Have a look for other tell tale signs such as over- spray, different paint behind the bar or a slightly different colour in different light/angles.

well fk, what chance do I have.... I played KOTOR but this entirely different. I can use 1-5 numbered ablities easily (ex-hon player) but any above that I have to click which I am reallllllllly slow at. On top of the I am not used to the whole click and drag to mouse look...in battle I usually end up looking at the sky or the groud ARGhhhhGHHGH! Gotta learn the hard way I guess. From the couple of hours I have played it looks like a pretty wicked game.

After going through all the bullshit installing and patching I'm finally on the jek jek tar server. Bit of a learning curve for a non wow player
