  1. Too hot to go too crazy! Good to go for a bit of a strop though
  2. Yeah 34 with a 34 ecu (naturally), I didn't think nistune would stop any of the factory engine functions...
  3. This EFI mob sound like the go, and I am planning a drop off-pick up situation. Happy for the experts to do their thing. I read that VVT won't work unless I get a 300zx ecu??
  4. So my stock AFM should be fine for the ~200 mark? The ecu/nistune i'm looking at is out of an R34....
  5. guess i'll have to trawl through the QLD site to find some reputable tuners who are nistune friendly. Do I NEED a z32 or is just optional/better than the stock AFM? And final question (I hope) - I have come across a 2nd hand ecu with nistune already installed, if I were to buy this would it be a simple plug and play and then getting it tuned to my mods? Thanks again, you guys have been very helpful
  6. ok, cool. Well I am pretty much sold on the nistune, seems to be the best bang for buck option. And it seems they don't make PowerFC's anymore (not that it really matters). What is the going rate for a nistune....tune?
  7. Random changes....sounds a bit disconcerting for a daily driven car. If I do go for a nistune/PFC the closest tuner will be nearly 2 hours away, which makes me think any drama's will be a big hassle for me.
  8. Me (and Nicholas?)
  9. If you don't think a group of recommended mods done in a particular sequence can be classified as different stages, fair enough. I only know what I have read, so my bad if i'm using terminology that isn't cool. I think i'll shop around for a good tuner
  10. Haha, wish you had have given me the drum earlier, Rich! I ended up using a combination of prepsol and wax and grease remover to soften up and remove the bulk of the residue. Then used a cutting compound (its called paint doctor and is pretty harsh) to get the stains out. Going to give the car a good wash and wax this weekend.
  11. Ok, so would I be correct in saying they are both capable of achieving the power/results I want and both will provide the same level of reliability? Seems like the only thing splitting them is cost? I would also assume the PowerFC would be more capable when moving onto stage 2/3 tuning and into bigger power figures (which I am not planning on) Maybe I just need tochat to some other local shops that aren't averse to nistuning. Would the average tuning shop handle both, or do they usually specialise in a particular make?
  12. Great thread. I'm trying to gather information to help me decide on the best route to take with my car. A reputable shop in Brisbane is suggesting I go the powerfc over a nistune for my basic mods (pod, fmic, exhaust). Reliability and bang for buck are what I am most concerned with, just want something that is RELIABLE and will leverage the mods I have (would be happy with anything up to 200rwkw). I was a little confused by what this shop suggested as from what I have read, Nistune sounds like the best option for me??
  13. pic?
  14. haha yeah, just joshin bro! probs just go 9inch +32 rear will sit a lot nicer
  15. The first one....with 9.5 + 32 rear =P
  16. get amongst it guys, click the link and get those numbers up!
  17. pics when you get them on
  18. haha yeah it's one of those things you have to get your head around. I can definitely confirm 9.5in +38 on the rear is fine with a few mm to spare and no guard work (and my car is lowered). Maybe ask if you can do a test fitting?
  19. My mistake...I remember looking at your car at the charity cruise and thinking the wheels looked to sit out a bit more than expected for GTR rims OP, the standard GTT wheels are +40 offset I believe. Personally I think this is getting to the stage where the rim is too tucked. there is an offset thread somewhere maybe check that out?
  20. you will be fine mate, from what i've read 34 GTR wheels (what Rush_ is running) are a good reference point for GTT fitment. Any higher offsets will be conservative. 9.5/10inch looks beast from the rear though
  21. lol I didn't get this much help when I was having a similar problem......i'm running the wrong gender It sounds like something simple enough and if the solution is not clear, you should just work you way through the options starting at the least expensive. Give your AFM and air filter a good clean out and check the plug is making good contact/not fouled up. Then move up the list. GL
  22. Do you run coilovers? Have your rears scrubbed out when crabwalking really steep driveways? I want 265's on the rear now...
  23. I run F: 8.5in +35 R: 9.5in +38 245's all round and lowered about 1.5 inches with no guard work Fronts are a fairly flush fit with 245's but rears have a slight clearance for either 255's or lower offset. The specs you have listed should give you a good conservative fitment all round.
  24. yeah the carrying is the major perk but once you get shitloads of gold theres not much point hoarding items. I've finished the main quest, are there any other major quests you guys would recommend I do before moving onto SWTOR? The one with the volsung masks etc looks interesting?
  25. I rolled with the Azura priestess, forget her name. She's good for destruction spamming and a bit of conjuration.
