  1. Other than the console (that i can use in another car) would everything else be suitable for R32? Does it come with all the hoses etc.........what is the condition of the gearbox? Pedal box included also?

  3. The panel situation will get better very quickly.....just like it did with cefiro's. Either way panels and other parts are easily obtained from New zealand etc. Great cars
  4. Any auto parts supplier should be able to order them in for you........They are most likely the same as either S13 or R32.....so they may even have them in stock. To be sure i would suggest removing the bearings and taking one into the parts store with you......if you can afford to be without a car.........OR buy both sets and return the set that is wrong........most places are cool with that provided you have not fitted them.
  5. It is most likely your new cat "bedding in"......give it a couple more weeks and you may find that the smell will disapear.
  6. I have a hybrid (not copy) waiting to be put onto a car........for the price and performance i have seen with them i see no other option..... Where else can you get a cooler that does the same job, brand new, and looks as good (i prefer the look of bar and plate over tube and fin)

  8. Considering power FC's etc are the same from R32 to Cefiro there is no reason why this should not be interchangable also. Looks like a good idea.........bit scary to think people with minimal knowledge can play with there ECU though........confucious say: uninformed people play with management equals many engine failure
  9. at this stage (until announcement is made) series 1/2/3/4 and 89 model series 5 are available under 15year ruling. Series 8 is available under SEVS
  10. You may be able to modify an R32 and S13 to suit.....good luck finding one for cefiro though.....like rocking horse shit in wrecking yards

I had the gas filled on my wifes R32 the other day but the air-con compressor did not kick in when we turned it on.....I went to a auto elec (he had a quick look as he had no real time to go over it) and he figured out the swicth that turns the compressor on and off intermittently is not working....... Basically he said the fault could be anywhere between the dash and the compressor......is there a common issue with these? If so.....what is the solution? Thanks

I tend to use a 10w 40w oil.......(RB20det)......i tend to also stick with sem synthetic simply due to the lower cost........NOTE: I service my "normal" car (R32) every 5000klms with general driving, very little thrashing. But service the "drift " car every 2000klms. I really don't see the need to sepnd double the amount when the oil is coming out looking nearly as good as when it went in.
  13. You will know pretty quick if it is a welded diff........a mechanical diff will clunk etc. and mech won't skip the tyres when slowly going around a sweeping corner....welded diff wil as there is NO "give" in it at all.
  14. I would love an SR20 conversion for my Laurel for xmas. After driving my SR20 sefiro 2 days ago.........DAMN!!!!!!!! I love it. When i kill the RB i will certainly be looking into the cost of SR conversion. (you must love yours CC, mine has stock turbo) But to be honest i would be ecstatic with some tools......hrmmmm a compressor for home would be nice
  15. You should be able to get one on exchange through repco......i think they are called "gem" engines......i have never heard bad things about the quality.......but the price is alot more than second hand from wreckers.

  18. 4 door rear bar is available(different to 2 door) as is the front bar (same as 2 door) .......2 door skirts can also be supplied but will obviously need to be customised as the genuine 4 door skirts were sold prior to a mould being made. Sideskirts are ALOT easier to adapt than a rear bar
  19. Those little spoiler things on the front bar are just added weight.......We ripped one off an R32 i had to fit the cooler.......new owner was not fussed about having a heavy chunk of steel that does nothing removed
  20. What do you mean by strap? It has the plastic stalk that attaches it to the seat...... I may need the bolt for my new belts though......not sure if the original bolts are used or new ones (never bothered to ask)

At this point it does not look like i will have BN kits available for R32 in the near future.....Same goes for blistered guards etc. Here are a few pics of the vertex kit fitted to a 2 door......Obviously the rear bar for a 4 door is different and that has recently been copied from an original direct from japan. Unforutnately 4 door sideskirts are not available.......although 2 door skirts could be modified to fit. For those interested........vented fibreglass bonnets for both cefiro's and laurels will be available in the future. (god knows what postage will be on those though !!)

  23. I did not realise you could get digital gauges.........aren't the digital ones just built into your electronic boost controller? Is that what you are after or did you want one of the nasty "7 colour" swoosh guages? I have a couple of guages that read BAR........not sure if they are what you want though.
  24. Just throw a spanner in the works again.........what series would it be if it has V4 written on it? Would that be off a very late model R33? ps. I am being serious, I am looking at one for the wifes car it is stamped V4. With all those numbers flying around in this thread i thought you guys might have thought i was taking the piss.
