the GTR and GTST radiators have the same mounts and inlet/outlet points. They are all interchangable with cefiros/Laurels. The "extra radiator" you are seeing is the air con condensor.......if you have air con connected it is required to stay there.......if you don't have air con......GET RID OF IT!!!! I removed the one out of my silvia just before the toyo drift nats and my car did not get over 85 degrees even on the track!!!! Overall the removal of condensor dropped the temp by about 5-10 degrees on the track.

I believe the R32 and S13 fuel tanks are the same.......you just need to change the fuel filler neck. Hope that helps you find one. (make sure you take dimensions etc before you buy to ensure i am correct.......i COULD be wrong, it has been known to happen, sometimes lol)

Phat Cefiro Manual Rb20 Turbo
RiverSide replied to Tommmo's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
This is a DAMN CHEAP car!!!! By the way, that is a "wonder" bodykit, not a BN. (Wonder looks better in my opinion) -
Odds are it is just surging, it may have something to do with the position of the fuel pump inside the tank that is causing "pick up" issues under 1/3 or 1.4 tank....... Easiest way to fi the problem s to keep it above half My car never see's under half as it starts to surge at about 1/3 (this is whilst on the track drifting though, i don't drive it on the street so i can't comment on that) PS: I have recently fitted a new tank (clean) and new pump so my surging is not caused by crap in the bottom.

You just grab a hold of the hand brake cover....pull AND twist.......takes a bit of strength, but it can be done. If you can't get it by hand......wrap a rage arounf the lever and place a pair of stiltsens (plumbers tool) on it......as you twist it the stiltsens grab it tighter, this will definately get it off, i had to do this on one of the ceffy's i had.

Get an S13 item, i have fitted a few of them. Happy sliding.

There is actually a rubber plug on the face of the disc/drum, remove that and turn it until you see the silver ratchet spindle thing, turn that with a small flat head screwdriver, keep turning it until the disc/drum won't move, then back it off until it JUST moves freely. That will save you removing the disc/drum. They can sometimes be difficult.

You will find that the plug going to the ignitor is different from to cefiro to R32........therefore you would either need to change the plug on the R32 loom to your current ceffy one........OR, save the money for the loom and simply hard wire all the coil packs in. The only difference between Ceffy and R32 packs is that on one the pins are vertical, and the other is horizontal.......just nissans' way of messing with us lol. It will take you a while, but i suggest you get some insulated connectors and then smash the plugs on your current loom and then attach the connectors to the packs........I have done this and it works great. It saves you the cost of buying a loom that you would need to chop up anyway in order to change the plug going to the ignitor. This also allows you to chop and change between different coil packs as you wish, eg: if an R32 pack fails you can simply unplug the connectors and fit one of your ceffy packs as the direction of the pins is no longer of any consequence as each pin has a seperate plug. Sorry if this seems a little long winded......i just want you to see the benefits of this. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me with exactly what you need to know and i am more than happy to help. Cheers Nico

does your hicas light flicker? or does it stay on? If it flickers, then your power steering fluid is low. If it comes on everytime you drive your car and stays on, you may have a hicas lock bar fitted. The split boots will not cause a leak, however left unchanged, split boots will allow dirt etc to get into the seals on your steering rack, and over time create leaks. For the sake of 20 bucks for the part and cost of a wheel alignment i suggest you do it. I also suggest you check other parts such as rack ends, tie rod ends etc. If they are worn, replace them while you have it apart, otherwise you will be paying for several wheel alignments.
-
Head down to your local spare parts store........they should have some universal boots available........i got a set for a Laurel, the box mentioned R31 skyline. Should cost you about 15-20 bucks for the pair.........don't forget to get a wheel alignment asap after fitting them.

I can't speak for nissan themselves as far as WHY they did not fit one........ BUT, i personally feel you will be fine to run up to 0.9bar without a BOV (preferably FMIC attached for the sake of your engine) OR you could buy the Blitz BOV i have here that came off an RB20det R32 and still has the pipe (i assume it will suit the cefiro RB20det too) Installation consists of two hose clamps, remove pipe, replace pipe then tighten clamps.......away you go PPPSSSSSCCHHT Cheers
-
A reminder people.........CA18det Coilpacks are the same as cefiro/laurel RB20det coilpacks. (R32 plugs are different)

Where are you located? I think my team mate still has his floating around the shed somewhere......make an offer, i will ask him if he wants to sell it.
