  1. Another thing you have to think about is repairs, things can happen suddenly and if your dependent on your car, you'll be in trouble. So yea, i'd recommend saving up a few g's first see how your going and then reconsider. It's good for the mind you got the car you wanted, but no good if it's sitting in the garage at home cause you don't have funds to repair it. (self experience)
  2. I was thinking about putting a 10inch or something next to the battery, but after taking some measurements it looks like i'm gonna have to angle it and stuff. I was planning to put my amp there also.. Just something small and light and out of the way. Prank, You didn't specify if u still want boost space or it didn't matter.
  3. I agree with BY BY. We shouldn't rule out people like Ryan. He may be young in some eyes, but he still puts in effort to do things? No ones perfect, but everyone has to remember that they will be representing the club in public places and if any actions causing problems, will result in their membership terminated. Or how about having something like three types of membership or such. as onarun said. eg. Standard = $30 Acess to forums etc 1 sticker Cap Full = $60 Acess to forums Multiple stickers for car Shirt , cap Xtreme = $70 (must ber over 18) Acess to forums Multiple stickers for car Shirt , cap Invites to XXX parties hahahha  I dunno, something like that, that way we can satisfy the enthusiast and full members? Just an idea. We were all young once, and I for one didn't like my dreams shattered. My ideas may be stupid/good, but we need ideas to solve the problem, not create more.
  4. BY BY, Would that be the same one as UniqueAutoSports have:?: Cause i remember on their site, they had two different types, 1 was from the 400R kit, which was like $1350 and the other unknown was quite cheaper.. Can't remember price tho.

  6. Any expected good runs tonight?
  7. Are you looking at putting anything else in your car? eg. Subs? If i were looking for an amp, I would consider getting a well branded one, even if it was used. Reason is that it's designed to take alot of punishment, last longer and they usually produce alot more power. They won't fly easily too. Once you start getting into the technicals of changing ohms and bridging, you may have wished you got a better amp. I had a SOAT(cheap) amp, originally decided to power fronts, but then got the BASS bug (2 Soundstream 12s dual voice coil) but didn't have funds to buy another amp at the time so I started playing with the ohms and bridging.. It was only 2ohm bridged and to put it simply, the amp circuitboard ended up catching on fire and toasted everything.
  8. Just to add this to the records, After speaking with Racebrakes (yes them again), I was told that if you put in hi-temp brake fluid, you should change them every 3 months or so because they attract alot of moisture.. Which is definately not good for seals and braking for that fact.
  9. I think i read in a issue of Hot 4's or HPI that it did have silicon in it. 8O
  10. Anyone recommend any place to install them besides Whitelines?
  11. Thanks guys.. Just didn't know anyone who had one to tell me the differences. Jimbo.. I'm not 100% sure, but this is my uinderstanding. Your clutch is connected to your axles and diffs. The flywheels is a rotating part from your engine, which looks like a really big disc. By letting go the clutch, you make these two join together hence turning the axles to make the car move. I hope that explains it. More than happy if someone corrects me for any wrong info there.
  12. Meggala, I thought strut braces strengthens car rigidity? Would this product strengthen the chassis only?? :?:
  13. Nice step by step pics Michael.. What tools did you use to cut the hole in the left? :?:
  14. I'm looking at getting a HD clutch installed as mine is dead, anyone recommend sticking in a lighten flywheel? I know it doesn't do any kw increase but does do acceleration increase. Would the difference be seen between one with / one without the lightened flywheel. Or should it only be put in after a certain amount of hp? In other words, my question is really how does it compared for: $$$ vs Value???
  15. Sad to hear about your engine Oz
  16. Thanks meggala. I wasn't sure, hence the post.
  17. 5 1/2 years.. and still counting..
  18. Weather forcast is looking good.. Mostly sunny min: 13°C max: 22°C
  19. How a turbo works.. rough guide.. http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~arvidson/Turbo.htm
  20. Would it be worth sticking a S15 roller on a RB25det or would that be downsizing?? From my understanding the are both the same type??? What do you think the rollers limits are?
  21. I've seen a few around sydney, but sorry don't have any pics. A bit off the topic, would such a mod would be classified as a defect?
  22. Hey all, I've been refered to RaceBrakes (9609 1101) down in Wetherill Park for performance pads for the 33gtst. 8O Has anyone tried these pads and compared them to others? I got quoted $155 for a front set with in mind 'street driving and the occasional track day' which is pretty reasonable. They gave me identical specs as Green Stuff, 650 degrees, low dust etc and they are a little cheaper. Specs are one thing, performance is another so what do you guys think?
  23. Hey Shell, eaheahea there's nothing wrong with good old tyre shine. I think we're just keeping our minds and eyes open for suggestions to get a "nicer" look. 8) Rod, i think it's a new product cause i haven't seen it on shop shelves yet.
  24. Oz, Are we meeting at the pits at 12pm? 12:30pm? I haven't actually met anyone in person. Just so I know who to look out for.
