  1. hahahaha GOLD that's about the funniest thing I've heard all week! Promote that man!
  2. Yeah, Ray runs the RA's and Jack's just picked himself up some RS's... I'm jealous
  3. Don't think it's the turbo he's worried about, more like overboosting for the stock fuel maps. But I wouldn't stress, it's not much more than stock. Southbank is becoming Evorun!! badoom ching :)
  4. I've also heard good reports on the Tein RA's and RS's, but they are no longer in production so renders it a bit useless.
  5. This forum is bad for Dane's wallet...
  6. I want your logger Bris. The turbo wouldn't go astray either. Can't wait to see it out at all the events next year mate, it's gonna be awesome!
  7. Congrats Age, that's awesome mate!!
  8. As I said before I haven't had any issues with mine at the track, and am very happy with them, especially for the price. Good to know that a very successful and quick car runs them with no problems. It's be good to know exactly what Fulcrum did to them though.
  9. Nice James!! Love it, congrats mate
  10. Hey Shan, I'll grab a copy of Vol. 85 Silvia&180SX No.5 too So Vol 85 & 102 Thanks mang
  11. Very good point made by Troy here. These reasons, along with wanting something a little bit different, is why I race an S13 and not a GT-R.
  12. Ahhhh I see Jack, I thought that the straps attached to your stock tow hook position and hung down from the car if you know what I mean. Thanks for clearing that up. I'll take a look at what would be the best option for me. I won't be doing any contact type events, so the solids shouldn't be a problem, but if they move to a full ban I wouldn;t really be happy with a big hole through my front and rear bars for no reason!
  13. Thanks for that Tacker. I take it that is the Dubai distributor? Gareth: Thanks for that mate. I think you're referring to Wayne? Good to know that he will accept it. Duncan: For around $1800-2000 makes it seem a lot more reasonable to go the weld in CAMS approved route. I'm just very wary of who I would get to do my work as I've recently had a friend of mine pay big bucks to receive a very dodgy cage, and as a result is having to get it made again. But obviously with the pricing you've given it really will pay to shop around, so I'll see what I can find out. Thanks. Dane
  14. The side intrusions being bolt in is not a problem, and basically as far as welding goes I want it welded to the A-pillar ad tied to the B-pillar. I want it to be a weld in cage, but don't mind some of it being bolt in if you know what I mean?
  15. Basically something like this, but with the bars running straight through the dash, no curves and no bar running across the dash.
  16. I agree actually. Seemed a little ambitious to me, and I certainly wouldn't contend it without a cage... It is a shame though, looked to be a fun event.
  17. I'm curious as to what quotes you guys have received for cages, as my research shows that it looks to hover around the 3k mark for a comprehensive cage with side intrusion bars etc?
  18. I thought you said she was sleeping?
  19. See, that's what I'm trying to ascertain. If I can get a full FIA approved cage for around $1100, which can be used in pretty much everything I need it for, it is going to work out a hell of a lot cheaper than forking out 3k on a welded in CAMS approved cage when I'm not actually required to run one, but want to for safety (I'm 6'5", there's not much room between the roof and my head )
  20. Troy: thanks mate. Yeah, I'm aware of most of those things, just don't want to purchase one and then be told 'in 3 months you can no longer run these'. Would be a bit of a pain in the arse! Chris: Thanks for the info mate. I had read your other thread, which I found very interesting. Can I ask where you ordered it from to get it for $1010 AUS delivered to Dubai? Pretty damn cheap!
  21. Hey Shan, I'll take a copy of Vol 102 Silvia & 180sx Cheers man
  22. Thanks for the replies guys. Richard: Yeah mate, that's the toss up at the moment. I had planned on going the whole hog, but a friend of mine has recently stripped his car and has a decent cage available for a good price which is what prompted me to ask the question. Snowy: I agree
  23. I'll take a look at the car tonight and work out which size I need, thanks mate. I had heard that they were contemplating banning the solid hooks and moving to straps, but hadn't had it confirmed by anyone. I don't want to use straps as they will rip my front and rear bars off due to the stock tow hook positioning, so it's not really an option... Has anyone else heard much on this?
  24. Yeah, I know of another car that runs a similar cage in the WRX/SAU Club sprints and he hasn't had any troubles thus far, so I'd hazard a guess I'd be ok, just want o be positive before I fork out any money. I'm running in the same club sprints though, so I may take my chances. Thanks mate
