  1. Yes, should give you a decent power gain even with a relatively stock car. I know poncams, HKS step 1 etcs are usually designed so that they can be run with a stock computer and give a decent gain.
  2. hahaha *puts blue beater on* *spills sauce on it* Now I'm ready to drive the clubby
  3. Why bother explaining these things to narrow minded 'car enthusiasts', who most probably have never driven a HSV, let alone a VE HSV?? I have a 180sx and have recently bought a VX Clubby. The simple fact is there are no direct competitors, bar FPV, for what these cars are designed to do for under $150k. Simple. A big car that is quick, comfortable, looks good (personal opinion), can carry five 6 foot plus adults in complete comfort for under 200k. Damn good value in my opinion. And they sound great too
  4. I think that is what we used, just a small part of it I'm a creased clothes kinda guy, so I didn't have any coathangers haha
  5. QLD hey?? Good stuff, I think I'll have to make the trip
  6. We figured cable ties and an exhaust manifold probably weren't going to get along very well...
  7. ahhhh sorry to hear Scott, that sucks man... Go the SR mate, you know you want to
  8. Had a great day, bar my car being a busted rice rocket... oh well Big thanks to all who put on the event, and all those who volunteered to officiate, couldn't have run without you! And last of all a MASSIVE thankyou to all that helped me get my car back to melbourne with my wastegate still attached, albeit with a piece of wire tied to the power steering line... Would have to have been one of the more interesting drives back from shepparton... Thanks again guys, much appreciated.
  9. 350Z no good for clients, 2 seater...
  10. Welcome to 'being in your 20's' Ryan... Happy birthday boyo's!!
  11. Very true Chris. I knocked 3.5 secs off my previous time with no rear brakes, and maybe 10rwkw's more?? I'd say a 1.23 is achievable with no more mods, just bigger nuts!
  12. Surely more people are in than that... c'moooooooooon!
  13. fark me their splitfires are cheap as shlt!!
  14. I like it, looks good, but is more suited to a gts-t in my opinion such as Adam's car pictured above.
  15. Happy birthday mate!!
  16. The chaser is too old for a novated lease, aswell as being an import. It looks to me as if it's out of the question completely as the car is needed for a tax break from what I gather. Drive some HSV's and the Typhoon/GT/GT-P and see what you think.
  17. The new model is a V series too...
  18. ^^^ I get the same wear patterns I was told that I could rotate them, but if it was wet it would be a no go, so I didn't bother.
  19. pretty much spot on for me too. I own every issue, and one of the first issues with the 3 way GT-R test was what actually got me into the import scene many years ago before I had a licence, but now it is going down hill, and I'm unsure as to whether I'll continue my subscription. SPEED was good for a light read, and had fantastic images and was really well produced. I didn't buy it for the tech, that's what HPI was for... Sav: hahahahaha BANG
  20. You can modify an LS1 too... http://www.ls1turbo.com.au/ Yummy... =
  21. $33,333 on road, 78,000km's,2002, cleanest manual I could find.
  22. 67k I think I'd say got the F6, seems like the most practical option for what you need it for. I went through a similar thing about 7 months ago, not with the same budget though. I tested liberty B4's, Audi S3's, C36 AMG's, Audi A6's, and eventually went with a VXII Clubsport. I loved the AMG, but it was too old, and really liked the S3 too, but it wasn't really practical for what I wanted the car for unfortunately.
  23. M-specs have a softer suspension setup, leather interior and a few other changes
  24. I'll be at the convoy
  25. Hey mate, I'll take the D1 spec breather tank. Have sent you a PM
