  1. I do hope they have some more pace to them, and perhaps a bit more torque for some nice sliding... but if not anything else at least the competition should get a bit better and hopefully we can get back to the early nineties when it was exciting to watch, not a two horse race.
  2. Well it looks as though the S2000 cars will definitely add some manufacturers back into the top flight for next season... but still no Subaru Loeb once said he'd quit before dtriving an S2000 car so we'll see!
  3. The quote to turn my dash into a data logger, with video overlay features and the camera kit with DVR is close enough to 5k US... ouch!
  4. I'm half tempted to ask the price too... everytime I see that video I get the urge to Pm you Russ! And just as Superlap inspired me to finish the 180...
  5. I really like the AIM units, and would have probably bought one if it would talk to my stock ECU. Unfortunately it wouldn't, so Stack was the better option in the end. How do you find the AIM?
  6. I have the ST8130, and then bought the lap timer and beacon seperately (for a steal out of the 'states, but from memory you can get them for around $500US). If you've already got the Racelogic then maybe you should keep that as the data logging features for the Stack are ridiculously expensive. As far as fuel is cincerned, yep, that's correct. We're havign dramas with mine calibrating at the moment, but my fuel float is buggered so I'd say that's the issue for me. Also getting the speed sensor to work has been a bit of an issue, but we haven;t spent too much time on it as we've had bigger issues to deal with! When assessing which system to get I spoke with my mechanic/auto elec aqnd he felt the Stack was the easiest to set up due to the configuration of the loom. He didn't run into any dramas, and it was all pretty simple, and very neat. As far as the Defi dash goes, I think it's the nicest dash out thee, but being Japanese only I was worried about some of the functionality, including the GPS based track timing, and in the end decided against it. Perfect mix of everything as far as a display only dash goes though imo.
  7. That was the reasoning for my final decision, I much prefer the analogie tacho over the bar graphs. The warning lights let you know to look at the LCD display, and I found it easy enough to read, though it could be a bit bigger. The downside to it is that all the expansions are hellishly expensive! For that reason alone it may be worth considering the others such as AIM or the DL1 etc. Upgrading mine to data/video logging specs is frightening cost wise.
  8. In what way did you find it nasty?
  9. Personally I loved the thing, was one of the quickest looking cars out there each session. Looks like a heap of fun to drive too, like a big go kart! Did you wear ear plugs when driving it?
  10. Is your current gearset damaged Russ? It should hold up fine with what you're wanting.
  11. The 32 looked and sounded great Russ, especially when changing gears. Great effort!
  12. His car looked the fastest by a distance in turn 12, we were all amazed. Nice rims too!
  13. Great effort by all involved, including the organisers. Was a top weekend! Highlights for me were defintely watching the Cusco Rex and Panspeed ripping through turn 4, awesome stuff. I'll have one of each please Was also loving the ferocity of the Pulse racing Evo coming out of the final turn, it was on the gas so much earlier than the other cars. Thing has some serious punch! Big ups to the blue 180SX in Open, he was really motoring, and also to Russ Jr, great times mate!
  14. And the 360 GT. Pretty impressive!
  15. Good luck mate! Enjoy my spot I'm flying up at 7:30 tomorrow morning, can't wait. HUZZAH!
  16. Sounds absolutely fantastic Stu. I should have put a V8 in mine... dang.
  17. I have a frustrating hunk of engine-less metal and a Porka hankering! Ben: Have you known anyone who's done it before?
  18. What's the deal with importing race/rally reg cars from Europe? Assuming the 12 month ownership rule doesn't apply, but is it very difficult and are you able to get rally reg on them here?
  19. Don't make me throw a hissy fit! I was looking up Euro Porkas for sale last night... hmmmmmmmmm. A LHD GT3 or '73 RS/RSR replica would look nice in my driveway me thinks. Pity I wouldn't be able to pay the bills to run it
  20. Details pls Disclaimer: Giving of details may lead to me purchasing it from under you.
  21. Me either unfortunately, though I've tried on many occassions! I was sitting in Glen Rydges SP a few years back, and that thing is tight with the cage and sunroof... yowzers.
