Sydney Best Place For Custom Work On My R34
r33gtrv-spec replied to sinister industries's topic in New South Wales
I had my twin plate OS Giken installed by CRD. Jim's a top bloke, but definitely won't be going back there anytime soon. Wouldn't mind trying tunehouse out for any further mods. Anyone have experience with them? -

Thanks guys, really appreciate all your help.

Is it possible my pump could be on the way out as to why i'm having this issue? or maybe it's a wiring issue to the resistor which could be the problem?
-
Yea i've earthed it direct. Completely bypassed the -ve. I will eventually upgrade my fuel pump, just not sure when. All out of coin now. But she looks tough and well worth every cent of my savings lol. Is this gonna cause any problems running my stock pump? What are the side effects of having my pump run on full voltage at all times?

Anyone? Car details for those who really want to help a brother out. R33 GTR V-Spec S1. Stock fuel pump. Stock injectors. New Compustar alarm (was just fitted when this problem arose - Installer swears this is not the issue, can't really argue otherwise considering he took it all back out trying to diagnose the problem). Just cam out of the sprayshop with a full respray (unrelated, but it's made me super paranoid of it being marked or damaged again) New TE37SL wheels from Japan (also unrelated but the stress these wheels have caused me in trying to keep them flawless is sending me crazy) Like I said, I really need help in trying to diagnose this issue. It seems to be running fine now I've bypassed the FPCM. Should I be concerned or is it fine to run my pump at high voltage? Prize for any help. Booby prize for everybody else.

Hey, After countless hours of reading about similar problems with -ve voltage regarding the fuel pump I've decided that I'll have to put my problem to you guys to hopefully help me out. The car has been in a security and audio workshop for the past few days getting a new system put in. As we were going through the new additions to the vehicle, starting the engine via remote start, running it, stopping it etc.. It all of a sudden died. Tried starting it again, no luck. It sounded like it was a fuel pump issue as the fuel pump stopped priming, but being so late we decided to work on it again come Saturday morning. Next day the same problem occured. We managed to start it for a minute but again it just died. After speaking with a mechanic and doing a fair bit of research we were under the assumption that it must be fuel pump related. We began by swapping the dropping resistor from another GTR. No luck. We ended up pulling the whole new alarm system out to make sure it wasn't related. No luck either. We directly earthed the pump to ground and presto. She started up and ran, albeit rich, she stayed running. So we were now under the assumption that it must be the FPCM. So out I went and purchased a second from the wreckers. Plugged it in. No luck. So this is where I'm at at the moment. Dropping resistor not the problem. FPCM not the problem. Pump only works on full voltage. Does anyone here have any other ideas as to what the problem might be? What are the consequences of running the pump full voltage?

Fined For Not Displaying Number Plate
r33gtrv-spec replied to r33gtrv-spec's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Just looking for some advice on how to approach this. I know I can drill holes in the bar and make a steel template to fit under the plate so it sits above the insert, But my query was, if I have to alter the original construction, shouldn't my car be exempt under Subclause 2(a)? -
Fined For Not Displaying Number Plate
r33gtrv-spec replied to r33gtrv-spec's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Whos full of shit? ..It's an original r33 GTR series 1, not 3, which is pictured above douche. Anyways as i was saying its all factory. Front bar has an insert for a plate, which is also too small for the standard issued plate, which i could also argue, but like i said, no mounting holes. I have driven my GTR for 4yrs with no hassles regarding my front plate until now. No thanks Trozz, been defected a few yrs ago, massive hassles. That was the main reason I stayed calm and collected in front of the cop. Stood my ground before, been defected, pepper sprayed, locked up etc.. Expensive, sore and not fun. Oh i know how to appease the cops who seem to have control issues. -
Hey I was wondering if there was anyone here who has fought this charge in court, either successfully or unsuccessfully. I was driving up to Sydney Saturday afternoon and was caught in a blitz at the marulan weigh-in station. As usual, my car was one of many suspicious and/or performance vehicles singled out by police. The cop was a complete ass in the way he treated me and the whole situation and after being harassed and treated like a criminal who just murdered his mother, i was left holding a $375 fine for not correctly displaying my number plate. My original r33 GTR front bar does not have any mounting holes for a front plate and I thought that would be enough to exclude me from having to permanently affix the number plate according to sub clause 2(a) of regulation 24 :- (2) Subclause (1) (a), (b), (d) and (e) do not apply to a vehicle number-plate of a registrable vehicle if: (a) due to the construction of the vehicle it is not practicable to comply with those paragraphs, and (b) the number-plate is affixed in a manner that complies so far as practicable with those paragraphs. I had my number plate affixed inside my front window on the dash, which I know isn't ideal, but is the only option I have without having to alter the original construction of my vehicle by drilling mounting holes in my front bar. Any help would be much appreciated as I am intending to follow this through to court out of principal.

Hks Evc Vi Boost Controller

This isn't the color display model is it? -
I did something similar 3 Christmas' ago to my R33 GT-R. I thought it was a simple castor rod replacement. I replaced the rods for $180 through trojan and continued to drive it. But it just felt wrong. It didnt handle the same, kept pulling to the left no matter how much adjustment was made through the castor rod. Wheel alignments were useless. Anyways, long story short, I have had to replace bent upper and lower control arms, wheel hub, reconditioned the steering rack and finally the cross member subframe. Things we do for love right ?

around 6.30pm was following a yellow r34 gt-t on gunghalin drive. Passed u at mitchell. I was driving the midnight purple r33 gt-r.

Ahh the good ol' volk gt-c... i'd rather the volk gt-c. I think you just promoted the volks. I might go buy some volks. Great pic.

yea i know what u mean, i've been there for the past couple of days and i c why the government are asking us to put islands there. It's real bad for itchy trigger finger n*ggas, everyone's speeding, even old ladies on their scooters were pushin it hard through there. A lady almost went ass up running on the footpath today...It would have been funnier if she wasn't pushing a three wheeled pram.. She shouldn't have been running.. I don't mean a casual jog, i mean she was thinkin it must have been an olympic sprint. She was moving. The front wheel caught the lip of the pram crossing. Poor lil fella. Might have been time for a nappy change after that. Scared me even watching it.. What's the rush everybody? Alot of shit goes down on Clift. I hope i make it through the wk lol.
-
yea sounds like it could b the same dude, he was wearin chromes too. We're building road islands all down that street for that exact reason. I mean, i'm not the one to harp on bout speeding, but there's a time and place. We have 40 signs up and down the whole street, it'd just b nice to not have to worry bout getting cleaned up while working for "the man" How ironic would it b to get wiped out building an island to stop ppl getting wiped out.

Couldn't miss a black r33 series 2 flying through our worksite at around 10 this morning in clift cr richards Came round the bend near 100kph, had to slow him down with our flag man, but still he couldn't slow down fast enough. He passed us travelling around 40-50 He was mouthing sorry as he passed, but damn man. It's a 40 zone for a reason. Working on the road is hazardous enough without cars speeding excessively within a metre of us.

yea my mate originally went down to c nas, but nas was too busy so he asked david to go quote him up. I think part of the reason david said he could do it in 2wks also was cos it's only a ute with a tray back so it's only half the work. But it was also quite difficult to pin a start date on him as well. He was kinda umming and ahhing a bit. "i've gotta spray at my cousin's shop nxt wk, ill try for the wk after, call me when u get the skirts made" So im starting to think that his two wks could turn into a very long two wks
-
I hear ya man. It's a lot of money. U wanna make sure it's done right first time. It's a shame there's only one of him. Mayb just put the money under his nose and say u need it done by so date. C what he says
-
i was speaking to nas a few wks ago regarding a side spray blending through the roof (due to some immature lil shits keying my pride and joy) and got a great price and a good time frame too. After speaking with him, i told my mate who was also looking for a respray, he took his ford down there and also got a quote. Due to be fully resprayed within two wks pending manufacturing of his side skirts. My mate spoke to another fella down there, David from memory - who also does work for one of his cousins in his own spray shop. Anyways, In my opinion, Nas would definitely b worth waiting for. I've had nothing but good service and honesty from him. Top bloke
