  1. Where is all this going if big guns like HV and BM go under...?
  2. I'm with you on this and it came from out of nowhere. I don't know how much leeching from the net has had to do with it but for sure it's part of it but still... if they weren't able to sell enough to stay in the game here in Japan then something was seriously wrong. We were so close to making a deal where we would supply services for subtitles and translations its pissing me off to retype it...
  3. I spoke with them today and asked them that exact thing... they said it was because sales have been falling for 3 years. Kodansha is the biggest publishing house in Japan and they own 2&4 Motoring who make the DVD's so they call the shots. There was a chance if they were able to think outside Japan one more time...
  4. Most of you are probably familiar with Hot version and Best Motoring DVD's from Japan. They've been around for 24 years now which is basically 2 thirds of my adult life. We've had a very close relationship with the guys who created these awesome productions for some time now so it comes with a bit of difficulty that I was told they were killing both series immediately. Even harder to pass on the news, especially since we were in talks with the creators to bring back English versions not long ago. Not happy about this at all and a real shame to see such established names fall to the publishing company axe... what does this mean for the rest of print and multimedia content I'm wondering... http://www.7tune.com/news-best-motoring-and-hot-version-killed-off/
  5. Yeah, nothing damaged but we've had almost 1000 of these bloody aftershocks for the last month now. Slightly unnerving. Check this link out - it's like earthquake popcorn... http://www.japanquakemap.com/ And I couldn't agree with you more - I used to think that power was everything but now realize its worthless if you can't stop...
  6. They don't! The standard brakes are good but 400mm of CC material and a mono-block floating caliper make a ton of difference. They're the same brakes they use on the Super GT cars. ugh...we just got hit by another 7.1 quake
  7. Link fail... http://www.7tune.com...35-nissan-gt-r/ Only problem I have with the R35 is that Nissan charge top shelf Euro prices for a Japanese product. I know they are trying to step up to that level but still...
  8. Yep, that's me mate. Actually debating whether or not to take on ownership of a GT-R myself... driven so many of them over the past few years - most memorable being this bad boy up in Hakone... Clicketty Clicks If you own a GT-R, you owe it to yourself to see just how good the AP Racing monoblock upgrade is over the standard setup. No comparison.
  9. You use a laptop on the crapper?
  10. They've got a print version of this but at the moment it's only in Japanese and it's $25 I believe. It may also be sold out. So for under $9 bucks you can't really go wrong with this.
  11. Got something pretty cool here - thought you guys would appreciate this more than many. We've made a new connection with the guys from D's Club, the US subsidiary of Option Japan and these guys have just released a very cool E-Mag of the R35 GT-R. It's 160 pages deep, all in English and also covers the newest 2011/2012 model R35. There's tons of other stuff in there and I reckon it's a proper bargain at $8.90. We're not getting anything from each sale, just advertising fees on the site each month so DL it or not - your choice but we reckon it's worth a look, especially if you own an R35. Check it out our review on 7TUNE HERE You can download it through the links we've set up between D's and 7tune.com Here's a few shots...
