  1. thanks nick. diff is now sold.
  2. good evening. the engine harness is delegated to my rb25 ute project and the other is pre sold by the old owner. thanks for your query though matey. the struts i have are standard and are sold sorry bloke. all the rear control arms and the left fronts are fine and available as is a front rack and a single rear axle driveshaft (was left hand side. not sure they differ left to right but best they keep their drive orientation). got stuck for 11 hours today on the highway after a fatal accident or i'd have responded earlier. not going anywhere else for a while so should have pics sorted out soon. thanks for your patience. glen.
  3. good evening. first shot at moving on two stripped out coupes worth of parts i've amassed. looking to get the bulky parts gone first and run through to the fiddly bits as time goes on. inviting sensible offers on the two rear windscreens that were a pain in the arse to cut out and have three good rear (two lefts) quarters to sell. if i can get home from work before dark one of these days i'll get a few pics up of the first lot of bits. no engine/transmission/brake assembly parts, all bars are gone, and one was drivers door stoved with the other a drivers front damaged. most interior parts available and some electrics/trim/suspension arms. lsd diff and its cradle are also still here. cars were gunmetal painted some scary lime green colour and the other is silver. located in mackay queensland which might hinder things to south dwellers, but if you are prepared to cover or arrange the freight, all can be gotten to anywhere. bit scared this will be pruned as there are no prices, but i've really no idea what any of this gear goes for so will peruse others r33 ads to see whether i'm being unreasonable or copping a pineapple. pm's would be preferable and will be checked regularly. not chasing the earth or in any rush but would like to help out others as i've no need for these bits and someone may as well get some use out of them. thankyou kindly for your time, glen.
  4. nah sorry matey, i've picked up the heavily written off R33 purely for it's motor, box and electricals. going to be fitting it into an aussie ute i've had in spasmodic build since 2000. i've not seen any of these engines installed in non 33/34/cefiro applications, and never one with the factory exhaust intact. was hoping a 2.5" would be sufficient as it will definitely clear but if there's no other way i'm sure a 3 inch can be accomodated. the car weighs in under that of a 33 so less than massive power is required and it'll be treated gently for the most part. i just don't wish to leave the poor thing constipated. original plan was for a RB26 but this GTS-t fell into my lap at the right price. thankyou again.
  5. cost isn't a concern just yet but a lack of a cat convertor will make getting it on the road a non event so it's going to need to be started with fresh. also may need to go over a live axle as it isn't being fitted to another skyline. i'll do some measuring and see if i've clearance for a 3 inch system. though not being a straight pipe application it's gonna wind up expensive whatever diameter i use. thanks fellas. cheers, glen.
  6. good evening. was wondering what experience people have had with not going overboard on pipe size with GTS-T R33's. the motor will be left standard and i'm more into sensible decibel levels than droney/blaring exhaust notes. what did they come with from factory as around here i haven't spotted a one without some monumental drainpipe hangiing out the back. room is at a premium and i'm thinking a 2.5 inch system reincorporating a cat as what came with the car is 3 inches through a hotdog finalizing into a 4 inch exit genie cannon with a welded on dummied catalytic outer casing. never heard the thing running through it but i can't see it being subtle. i know that diameter means flow but surely theres an acceptable compromise to be had on a daily driver. thanks for your time, glen.
  7. good evening from far north queensland. name is glen and i've just picked up a write off 33 gts-t for the drivetrain. not watched bathurst since gentleman jim did the honourable thing and told the taxi brigade they were a pack of arseholes. i like variety. v8 supercars series is never gonna offer it. the channel nine camaro using the corollas and mazda's as brakes, and mini's eating mk II jags days are well and truly over and the lack of ANY production relevance nixes the desire to pay attention at all. have a soft spot for vl's with stock bodies and hairdryers. dream of a clean tidy standard R32 zilla, and seeing how most are driven and repaired i'll not be looking for one and shall stick to my "alternate" GT-R (factory 16's, turbo, intercooler, two seats, all wheel drive, low range) and potter around with other projects in the meantime. the rb25 is to see duty later down the track and i'll need to pick a few brains when the time comes closer. theres an rb30 and jatco in my shed for a stalled project that i began a few years back and i'm gathering the odd L and A series 4 here and there for others down the track. i dunno if there are die hard datto types on here as well but i'll likely have the odd query on 70's/80's buzzbox models if someone were to lend a sympathetic knowledgeable ear in the general automotive discussion forum too. love my bikes as well with a particular penchant for old/older, oddball or mundane, cheap to buy and fix up "bargains", and in particular transfer ported deathtraps. hell, everyone needs a sick twisted vice of some sort and the 120Y is now getting to be respected through it's high natural attrition rates so rebelling is getting harder and harder to achieve. thank you kindly for your time and will hopefully catch you round the traps. cheers, glen.
