  1. I am pleased to announce the partnership with 3M, now being the Street Elite Showcase sponsor at MotorEx 2011. With an agreed long term arrangement from such a well known and trusted company, it fits well with the new innovative Street Elite category where we reward the highest quality of craftsmanship on legally registered vehicles. 2010 saw the launch of Street Elite Showcase at MotorEx and it proved very successful when we were fully booked 2 months out and couldn’t accept any more entrants. This year in anticipation of an increase in the number of competing vehicles we have allocated a larger area for this growing category. There are 5 judging classes, Hot Rod, Street Machine, Custom Cruiser, Tuner, and Custom Euro each competing for cash and medals. Check out the ‘Entrant Information’ for a full run down on categories, judging and prizes. We are looking forward to a long and successful relationship with 3M for 2011’s MotorEx and future years. Check them out at the show, at any major retailer or online and see the broad range of products they offer for almost every part of life. With such a large name behind this class, it is sure to be one that will continue to grow year on year. For more info visit the MotorEx website: http://motorex.com.au
  2. As everyone is aware we have great vehicles and plenty of features at MotorEx over the past 10 years. This year we are adding something that has been missing from the automotive shows in Australia, the Liqui Moly Performance Garage. There will be many exhibitors as usual representing the whole automotive sector as well as the new feature of 30 businesses that supply and support the modified car culture. These will include engine builders, transmission specialists, fabricators, body and paint tradesmen and performance parts suppliers. Trick & Mansweto are confirmed exhibitors for 2011 Meguiar's MotorEx Entrants and spectators will be able to wander through this area and come away with enough information and knowledge to build their next project, fix a problem or just get answers to questions they had always wanted to know but didn't know where to go for the information. 3. Welcome to the first MotorEx update for 2011. You may think we are a little early, but with such a huge event we are well and truly in planning and organising mode for the premier car show in Australia and entries are now open. We have up to 9 new blockbuster HOK Inauguration vehicles to uncover on Saturday morning with a further 70 spots available in the dome for Super Elite cars including the 30 invited Meguiar's Superstar finalists. Last year at MotorEx we kicked off Street Elite Showcase, legally registered streetable cars with elite quality body, paint work, interior, engine bay but no undercarriage detailing. Street Elite Showcase proved to be extremely popular and we are expecting more entries for this rapidly growing category. 2010 was also our first year for the muscle car marvel, where original and modified muscle car clubs display their best cars to compete for the top trophy and $1000 cash. There will also be an expanded Real Street boulevard out the front of the venue, displaying up to 80 real street cars on Saturday with a different 80 on the Sunday. As you can see we will be running the same categories as last year, which sold out 2 months prior, so don't be disappointed this year, get your entry forms in now! Entry's received before 23rd May are only $100 with entry's received after this date but before 23rd June at $150 if there are any available spaces. All categories are open to pre 48 hot rods, Street Machines and late model Hi-Tech Tuners. For further info see the MotorEx website: http://motorex.com.au
