i think modds could be left on, but just make it so that no cut and shuts could be brought in. All the Backyarders moved from complianing R33's in a tin shed to 88-89 R31-R32's in the tin shed. There the same tyep of cars that they bring in all crapy and need panel beating this is what we should be wanting to stop. Modds shouldnt be a problem But the GOV dont see it that way. It is a bit hard but at lease if the RAWS was to import 15 year olds then at least we know the cars will be in good condition when you guys go to pick them up. At the moment we have an 1987 R31 - GTS-X at a work. Black and Very stock. This is a one off car as it was owned by a Collector in Japan and we pick it up last time we were in Japan. This car is in show room condition. Im not saying that they have to be like that but just not the cut jobs.

I want some feed back on this idea. Stop all 15 year old cars being imported by anybody and make a RAW be the only ppl who can import a 15 year old car. This will help reduce the number of cars comming in but will also give the RAWS anothr 100 cars in a new area. Also the RAW should do the same as what they have to do with there compliance cars. Make sure it does not have rust and make sure it is not accident repaired. This will help stop all the SHIT cars comming in and we will only hvae good quality cars.

Yeah i was thinking of an S13 convertible as well. ut an RB20DET and a 180 front on it. seen one in a made drift vid looked good. I think the R32 GTRS are going to be expensive still as it is so in demand ppl will pay as much as they can for one. And most of them have been in an accident anywayz.

put the word out to as many import yards and RAWS as possible. I work for a RAW so id be happy to advertise it. Make flyers put them in shops even the radio some times lets you advertise for free on lke B105 and crap stations like that. NEEDS to be on JJJ. (thats what i listen to). Umm things like that. Just get the word out any way you can. Any ides plz PM me. I am going to get something going.

I must say one thing. PPL are sending emails to DOTARS abusing them and telling them that they are fu*ked in the head for wanting to change the laws in the first place and this and that. But what is that going to do?? Its only going to make it worse for us. The ppl who are going to buy the cars. But then againe the amount of 15 year old cars comming is about 3 times the amount that all the RAWS put together can import. This is my veiw on this topic. If the DOTARS have there way and if the POLICE have there way then there will be nothing. Drifting is fround on and wont change. Its big in Japan and Big in America but I dought it will be anywere in Australia. We all luv to drift and So what we need to do is MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN. Its good to see that there are more and more track meets every year, But we need to get the words out more. I think we need to advertise it a hell of a lot better. There are heaps of ppl with imports but dont know were to go. I have alwayz loved the drift before I even got into Imports used to CRUIZ in the Gemmi. But didnt know how to get into anything.
