Oil/air Separator Install On Rb26
Fullboost_Performance replied to NSNPWR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have the same setup on mine, just make sure all the hoses are still flowing easily, and the 90degree hose isnt kinking on the inside, also remove the pcv and clean it out with some throttlebody/carby cleaner, the valve may be sticking....good luck -
L.A Smash repairs, i hear they do alot of work for the Porsche cup guys...sorry dont have their number anywhere but i know they are in Collingwood...
-
Ye sounds like a spark issue, might want to get your CAS checked as well, i know on the auto's the timing does change slightly to when its in neutral, might be running a bit too advanced or retarded,
-
Definately would have to also recommend Thread doctor, the workshop i go to have used him plenty of times. He charges ...but its worth it when your in a tight situation !

Registering A Repairable Write-Off Vic/nsw
Fullboost_Performance replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Victoria
Just recently bought 2 repairable writeoff in VIC, one was easy to get the VIV on, then off to Vicroads and rego'd The other was a BMW, went for VIV and they wanted an electrical test done by BMW as it was a flood damaged, cost .... $980....back to VIV for $480 and then off to vicroads...nothing but headaches... it would pay to call someone who does VIV inspections before you buy, one mistake i made ! -
Have a couple mates who are police, i asked one of them the same question the other night and he said its normal points, but there will be alot more out this easter...

Possible Cat Blocked On My R34 Gtr?
Fullboost_Performance replied to K33P UP's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Probably not, loading up meaning 2500-3000rpm up a hill in 4th, so its under load, if the cats blocked doing this for about 10-15 seconds will make it glow, seems easier than jacking the car up, and taking the cat out... -
Mine had a built engine, head work, cams, cam gears, 4" exh from front pipe back. I have seen same setups making 290, friend of mine in his R32 GTR is making 328 with more boost, was tuned from a place in NSW just before he bought it, so i would say a little more boost and head work makes the difference. Simon from NT Performance Turbocharging in Footscray, they had built some pretty serious GTR's and GTS-T's thats why i took mine there, if your keen i can pass their number on and you can have a chat to them about what was done. I dare say that yours with head work perhaps a slightly bigger exhaust would make more

Sorry boys, new to this, didnt realise this was an old topic

I was in the same boat when i moved down to Melb few year ago. Found a workshop called NT Performance Turbocharging that a friend mentioned. Have been going there ever since. Its run by a father and son team, Simon has got to be one of the best tuners i know having been to quite a few! They really know their stuff and they have been around for years ! Here's their contact details, tell them Steve with the R34 GTR gave you their details, NT Performance Turbocharging (03) 9687 3074

NT Performance in Footscray, its family owned, George and Simon, they really know their stuff, they did a full tune on my cousins R33 PFC for $450 with laptop software

How To Choose The Thickness Of The Head Gasket?
Fullboost_Performance replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
All depends on boost you will be running, work out static compression with the 1.1 and 1.3 and see what compression you end up with, my engine builder did this on my engine, every part must be exact, theres no point on guessing on something like this is you plan on running some serious boost -
Possible Cat Blocked On My R34 Gtr?
Fullboost_Performance replied to K33P UP's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Load up the car on a dyno or going up a hill and see if the cat starts to glow red. If so its a blocked cat, had same issue with mine when it was stock -
I definately agree with Ant97GTR though, there is a big difference in making big power and making it and still keeping the reliability, take to a tuner who knows these cars inside out!
-
Had a similar setup on mine before i had the current setup built, was making 313kw on a safe tune...
-
My tuner charges 100 for first hour and 90 every hour after that

Does Any One Know Somthing About My Problem
Fullboost_Performance replied to fly333's topic in Victoria
I had a similar problem with my old R33, my tuner/mechanic changed the CAS and re-dyno'd it and problem solved.. -
Hey mate i had exactly the same problem with my old R33, took to a place called NT Performance Turbocharging in Western suburbs(melbourne), dropped it off in the morning and by the afternoon i had it back, car has been fine since !!! Worth maybe giving them a call, Simon there really knows his stuff with skylines!
