  1. I like this forum and content but it lacks in the photos department. Need some more good shots in the photo gallery. Just a thought.
  2. Well to be honest i didnt buy it for the "Wank Value" As i Drag race my car and need consistant times and for that u need the best equipment. As for buying a shift light u could order them from almost and speed shop. If u do decide to get one make sure u get the right shift light chip eg 6500 rpm as it is not variable via a dial. U need the chip to light it at the desired revs u want. As u can see buy the tacho i got it has a pencil light shift light and believe me they r bright. Also comes with a coloured cap to put over end for night use so it dont blind u. The one i have will easly light up my whole interior like a UFO. They r brilliant design. I wouldnt settle for anything else. Well thats my opinon. Thes light are great as well but a bit bulky and dont look as neat as a pencil light. Your choice but.
  3. Autometer all the way baybe. BTW NIZ30 for a pencil shift light u need 2 components "5310 RPM Activated Module This electric module allows the RPM “Pills” to be used for triggering Shift-Lites. For 4, 6, or 8, cyl., std. electronic ignitions, 12-16 volts. 1 amp max." and the shift light itself "5331 Quick-Lite Shift-Lite (silver) Includes plug for easy connection to tach or 5310 module." This is what i use in my car. Around 700$ with tacho. Best setup u can get for a performance street car.

  6. I agree with Martin, i have seen many weird combos that produce strange power results and power figures over what many consider imposible. As for saying Martins blowing in the bag, i think thats very rough, Its his job to experiment and report results , not to lie about it and lose customers over it. Geez if he says it does 280 it does. To be honest with u, no offence, I personaly dont like the look of r32 gts cars i think they r a bit old school not bad but personaly r33 look more apealing to me. as for running 11 second quarter im sure i can do this as i have been drag racing for about 13 years now and know what it takes. Im sure the power im gonna shove thru it it will do it with ease :] I reckon i could get 120 mph down the drags pretty easy just gota get it off the mark quickly and minimize wheel spin the let the power do the rest. Usually the track is pretty sticky so once u hooked up it should pull pretty hard methinks. As for a 32 gtr aint they like 40- 50 grand ? for 20k can get a 33 and for another 20 i can get a killer motor. so to me the gtr is outa the question. BTW i dont wanna be paying for blown transaxles etc 1 diff is bad enough
  8. If fuel doesnt go thru the turbo eg fuel injected how can it get on the turbo ? cam overlap ? i thought skylines had direct port injection correct me if im wrong.
  9. Yeah Joel i hear ya there, It all comes down to dollars, i Dont realy want a 4wd car let alone afford the one i want "looks at MUNRO gimme" hehe. So im gonna stick with the rwd R33. 200 rwhp doesnt intrest me much. I have driven 11.1 second cars and that what im aiming for. BIG everything sounds good to me but not much external rice gear. Just a nice looking streeter that performs. Something that loooks stock with nice wheels. so stock turbos aint gonna do the job. Prob whack on 1 BIG single turbo and crank it up thru that. Im the sorta person thats not happy with smaller rwkw im suprised ive put up with my torana this long but as u know that can do 12s so its reasonable fast for me. Only thing is i want power that pulls in every gear like a train till i run outa revs. Big $$$ but i think it would be worth it. Being single and no kids has its advantages ! My car will be my baby

  11. I agree with Martin. He has proven some facts with his mods and stock turbos. 5 kw mods r squat to me so i agree look for 20-50 kw mods for notacable improvements. Thats it im bitten by the bug, 1 R33 300-400 kw coming up. I can hear a HKS turbo coming on hehe. gimmee a year or so and im gona fry that dyno. well im new to this turbo skyline thingo so i guess ill have to pick martins brains when the time comes.

  13. i would recommend this oil if any. http://www.torcoracingoils.com/assets/frames2.htm also i can bet money these test were done on big cubed v8`s so a gain would be minimal under 300 hp. I know TORCO is a great oil as lotsa australin drag racers have proven that. As for redline never heard of it. My saying is Go with what u know about and i know TORCO works. check it out prob cheaper than redline.
  14. H8 to say it whatsisname but gear oil wont do shit to your power figures, if it did i would put some magic Redline stuff in my nine inch diff and pick up 20 hp hehe. The only real way u will make power is bolt on MODS or head work balancing etc. BTW does octane booster realy FOUL plugs ? as my last set of plugs looked pretty gummy and i was using boosters in that new engine. hmm
  15. Also if turbo timers are illegal why do Toyota LCruisers have them on their tubo diesels. Cops glad to hassle the ricers but not those big dangerous LCruisers. fkn typical. LCruisers should be banned in the Metro area i reckon :[
  16. If u bust a fuel line in a prang turbo timers keep engine running hence illegal i think ?
  17. My top speed would be about 190 kph. basicaly its geared to go over the line at the drags at arount 7200rpm so its geared exectly for drags. maybe i should put a 5 speed in it and some 3.5s and see if i can do 260 hehe
  18. Joel and yes it comes on strong, REAL strong. Most cars out the drags including 350 chevs cant knock me off till 80 ft mark even with wheel spin and Drag tyres on my car. Turbo cars cant even match it off the mark unless ladder bar rear end slicks etc. If i remember rightly no offence to Munro but atm even his r33 drag car with wheel spin is only running similar 60 ft times and that car runs 10.6 145mph if that gives u an idea. Im sure his car when hooked up propperly witch i dont thinks gonna be easy will be faster maybe around 1.4 1.5 60 ft

  20. Well Joel. I have never run it with street tyres as it would be to dangerous for me. Even with M@H street slicks it still spun the wheels and headed for the wall every run. Best time with my 120 kw old moter was 12.726@108MPH. Fresh motor has 125 now so in theory with prob go 12.6 or 12.5. The tyres i run were 2356014 and have a diameter of around 26 inch. They r essential for good times. I would GUESS if i run street tyres it would prob run around 13.5 @ 100 mph. Dont forget i have a 9 inch diff with 4.56 LSD wich make for a short first gear, prob shorter than a skyline ratio, aslo bear in mind its an auto with a 5000 stall convertor. im sure it would do mid 12s with new Drag tyres as mine were getting crusty from my top gear burnouts. " But didnt the crowd love it" Im giving up on the drags at AIR for now and concentrating on buying a skyline and getting around 300-350rwkw at least hoping for flat 11 second times, but its only gonna be a street car for my pleasure and cruising with u guys. Dont get me wrong about my 1970 car but i want the luxury , erganomics and all the mod cons and still be able to go fast without breaking ppls windows when i floor it. Might be a year or so until i can afford it but im sure it will be worth it :] This picture was from "Fan Apreciation day" and had a passenger who won a ride with me cause im a good sport. Car run 13.0@100mph with a blown inlet manifold gasket at 34 track. He loved it :] Oh your mates car he was talking about 14 mile as 18 mile half the distance my car done in 8.0@90 MPH
  21. Thanks GFXman After using that calculation i ended up with "98 kw per tone" with driver and fuel in weight and it still runs 12.7@108mph. Must be doing something right. Now Andrew tell me what u get :]

  23. My car weighs 1272 kg and 125 rwkw. Good for mid 12s as my old engine i did 12.7 @ 108 was an older crappy engine so in theory should be faster quarter miles now. I doubt i will be running my car at the drags for a while as i cant afford the Drag Tyres to run it as i wanna start saving for a skyline and top the power figures on the dyno HE HE "Wishfull Thinking" I was gonna supercharge my Torana for around 300rwkw but as most of u guys know i cant even keep it straight with only 125 rwkw so i think its time for a skyline and crank that right up. My Torana i set a goal to rech 12 second times and now have dont that so i think its time for a new project. I more than likely will keep it but if i wanna get some serious power out of the skyline i will buy posibly might sell it and put all the money into new car. Then Andrew all youl see is my tail lights EHHE. So Andrew with the excess power your car has over mine and the weight difference my car goes pretty hard ehy.   24. I got a question. I am gonna buy a R33 skyline and modify it. EG more engine mods etc. so what do i gota watch out for in the way of defectable items and whats the go with blow off valves why r they illegal as they only vent air and not fuel? Is it to do with noises or something. Dont wanna spend shit loads on engine exhaust mods if they gonna harras me just cause its hotted up.:shake:
  25. Was a good cruise, had fun trying to keep it straight. 45 degree angles at times and one when the coppers went past , OOPS didnt see them. Nightcrawler and i was having fun as usual , hes a legend cruiser like me , as for the rest of u alcholics stop drinking and go cruising. I was pissing on the night before with [-w4sp-] , didnt stop us but:cool: Other than that was a great smaller cruise , Henry seems like a Kewl bloke and i am looking forward to the dyno day to have some fun and snags. cya there.
