  1. The reason people do quarter squats is for ego building, you can lift heaps more if you only go halfway down... Training at a PTC though you sorta just realise that most people are gonna be be putting up big numbers on most lifts and you kinda just dont care anymore.
  2. Troy, are you going to the comp at PTC tomorrow?
  3. Markos is probably just really busy with all the GPC comps that have been going on around the place recently. I think he might even be coming to canberra for the novice push pull comp sherro is having this weekend.
  4. Thanks leesh, im confident sherro will get me pulling 200+ soon
  5. Hit 190kg for a single tonight on my first deads session at PTC. Sherro rwck9ns I might have a smidge more in me but im happy with 190 either way!
  6. Man, its gonna look like a tennis ball on her ankle after that!
  7. A 260+ pull is awesome! I tried block pulls off 6cm blocks the other day. I can deadlift more normally then from blocks but that doesn't surprise me really. I think ill keep doing them and see if they help overall
  8. Found a brand new coolingmist water meth system and resovoir in the shed today. Was going to put it on the 33 before I sold it and the evo is dual map tuned so no use for it now. If theres any interest I can get pics etc...
  9. Righto thanks man, ill give them a buzz tomorrow and see if they can sort things out for me...
  10. Anyone know where I can get an aluminium 3/8" NPT bung and a plug for it? Going speed density soon on the evo and wanna get one welded into the cooler piping for the IAT sensor. Also need a plug to block up one of the post cat o2 sensors I'm not using in the new exhaust. Any suggestions on where to pick up either of these items would be greatly appreciated!
  11. got out a 127.5kg 1rm on bench today but my ass came off the bench
  12. Well thatd explain why I lift less sumo, with my McFlange legs having to actually do something...
  13. i have only done sumos once and have found them slightly harder to get the weight moving but once it up it moves a lot easier. I think ill continue to use them as an assistance exercise, but some people can pull huge numbers sumo so i guess its whatever suits the individual.
  14. Was that a sumo pull? Either way congrats on the 180kg. It feels about 80x cooler with 4 20kg plates on either side though...
  15. At 160 I think youd be better of buying cheap 0.5kg plates for like $5 each. The others are sort of not needed.
  16. 4 plate deads soon troy!
  17. its amazing how much difference a proper set up from the top down can help your deadlift. I still need a fair bit of work on my technique which is why im going to join PTC canberra in january. Hopefully all 3 of my lifts benefit a bit.
  18. I bet if you didnt do your work sets before your 1rm attempt youd shit 120kgs in...
  19. Just remove the aftermarket solenoid and controller, leave the wiring and run the hose from the intercooler pipe nipple to the actuator, you will just be running off actuator pressure so boost might come on a bit sluggish but it wont go over what it would have been set up to run on the ebc. Leave everything else set up in there and just block the other vac hoses up for the re-inspection
  20. if you can rep 140 x5 then higher then 160 1rm is probably achievable. See how you feel after the 160, have a decent rest and maybe add 5-10kgs. Do the 1rm attempt before your volume work though.
  21. Id agree with jangles, its defs bigger then 130kg 1RM. Im close (give me 3 weeks) to a 1rm bench of 130kg and i could maybe do like 3 reps at 115kg. Either way its solid benching!
  22. cuong nguyen has pmed me saying hed like the shocks but if he doesnt end up taking them you are welcome to come grab whatever you want. I also have a pair of 17" rims that are just sitting around doing nothing. Pretty sure they are either 8.5" or 9" wide and suit either front or rear gtst offset. Can get pics and more details if anyone is interested. Actually i think if you look back through one of my for sale threads i was trying to flog them off a while back. Anyway they are also free now if anyone wants them. Could be good for skids or track wheels...
  23. Searching through the shed today I found stock 33 gtst front and rear struts and front and rear sway bars. Also have r33 s2 rear seats. All free to a good home
  24. The gains he got over a year are awesome but he definitely wasnt small to begin with, just carrying a some extra fat. I havent seen the video where he talks about everything he took, but i daresay he was on cycle year round which is pretty intense and thats probably got a lot to do with why he has managed to keep the gains.
  25. 76kg at that height isnt that bad. If you were 76kg and 6'+ then thats a whole different ball game
