You have a rough idea on prices for the manifold package yet stao or is it still under negotiation?
-
Don't like your chances. The whole appeal thing is a bit of a joke, I don't know anyone that has a fine rescinded under appeal. Worth a shot though I guess

It's hard to e-diagnose, but I reckon it could be an sij issue. The sucky thing about that is there is so many things that can contribute to that. I reckon go and see a massage therapist at somewhere like clinic 88 (garunteed to get a good therapist there). I'd reccomend trying to see jimmy or brad at the Macquarie clinic because I know they are good. Brad may not be back from the olympics yet though... They also have a couple of exercise physiologists etc that do the rehab side of things as well and they all work in conjunction with each other. Take everything like X-rays scans etc that is relevant to you're injury history an explain what's going on.

I'll try the milo. Do you recommend with milk or water for the milo? I have had 2 different powders before and they were both a good tasting vanilla. This dymatize protein smells nice, but taste's like death...
-
I'll try the berries for sure, but it's sort of awkward to have straight after a session because I won't be near a blender!
-
Anyone got any tips to make a protein powder taste better? Made the rookie mistake of ordering vanilla thinking itd be a safe choice and it takes bitter as f**k. Still got heaps of it and dont want it to go to waste, but it doesn't taste any better with milk instead of water which I was hoping it would.

Yeh I usually try to do a split routine, fairly similar to yours Joey. Currently once a week. Chest/tri's Off Back/bi's Off Shoulders/abs Legs Off Was thinking about changing to doing this twice in 8 days. Chest/tris/abs Legs Back/shoulders/bi's Off Not sure if it will be to short of a recovery time doing it 2 times a week though. If I do go to the twice a week split, I think I will do it for a couple of weeks then have a lighter week where I revert back to the once a week split. Guess I'll have to try it out and gauge how my body reacts to it.

Doesn't status have a few results that show the result going backwards slightly with the plazmaman?
-
I think the decision comes down to whether you want to spend $$$ and/or keep the factory runners.
-
I have decided I'm actually going to start being a bit more serious with going to the gym. Not flaking on a session because I don't feel like it and stuff. What do you guys reckon is a good number of times to work each muscle group per week, 1 or 2 times? Currently been going with one/ none because I'm lazy... And Do people still use creatine mono hydrate pre and post sessions these days?

Actuator Instead Of Boost Controller
Mitcho_7 replied to dan-0's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Most internal gate turbos i have seen drop a smidge of boost up top but that could be to do with there setups/actuators. -
There's not many alternatives in the way of ffp's for rb25's. There's the greddys, the knock off greddys and plazmaman and maybe one or two others like a hyper tune one. The greddy is similarly priced to the plazmaman from memory.
-
Im well aware of all this, but full boost to me usually refers to the maximum boost setting the owner has choosen to run for the supplied dyno graph. For the more novus reader though, i can understand where you are coming from. I think 4000rpm is decent considering the flow capacity the gtx3076 has, I'd be stocked with the result. Wonder if the poncams made much of a difference?
-
Looks like i might just go with craved then, as i know he has a great reputation. I suppose the jacked up prices of a canberra business will even out the cost associated with postage to craved anyway. Titan, did your exhaust manifold and turbine housing get painted inside and outside?
-
really? I thought for sure it was an external gate on stock manifold...

Mitcho_7 replied to Booki's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I think the issue will be that whilst you are running the stockers on higher boost than stock the cars ecu can cope better to a degree because the factory ecu is tuned with those turbos. Bigger twins untuned on the same boost level will mean they are flowing much more air and the stock ecu may not be able to handle that. So by turning down the boost on the bigger twins you can hopefully avoid problems caused by the extra flow capacity. 12psi on the stock turbos will flow less air than -9's at 12psi. -
So it's hitting full boost by 4000rpm. That's pretty damn good, especially when you are running the stock manifold and the gate off the turbine housing aren't you? what size exhaust are you running?

I agree with ditching the afms and pfc and going for something like a link g4. Cost wise they are about on par i would think once you factor in the cost of the fpc and 2 afms. You can also get a mac valve to control boost using the ecu as well so you dont have to worry about a seperate ebc. -
are you going to only run 16psi? I think at least 18-19psi would still be safe Good to see you are happy with it though!

1785 calories per day doesnt seem unreasonable to me for a BMR... But i dont study nutrition or know much about it
-
Calories are confusing but there is a difference between calories and kilocalories http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calorie You're right though, most things that refer to calories in the dietary sense are kcal. Either way kasko, 1758kcal would be your BMR. Which is the amount of energy your body requires to carry out all the necessary basic functions to ensure survival without getting out of bed. So you will definently need more energy each day than that or you will be a skinny man in no time.
-
Diet is no doubt an important part of exercise, but if you're trying to bulk up a bit you probably dont wanna be skimping on your food intake all that much. Just try to limit the amount of crappy food you eat and opt for healthier things. This will require a bit of forward planning for what you want to eat for the day though.
-
I think kasko might be talking kilocalories...

Looking at getting a few things like my rocker covers and timing belt cover powder coated and maybe some ceramic coating on one or two things as well. I know craved coatings has had great reviews, but I would prefer to be able to take everything to a shop front rather than have to pay for postage to and from craved. Anyone know of/had any gear powder coated or ceramic coated locally?

Haha! You know you're mirin' as well
