skyzerr33 did you go to Rocko for the full 5 years?? I was there from 1995 to 1999 when I graduated and I went to East Waikiki from 1988 to 1990.

K11 - Haven't heard of it so there is no way I'd get one. Itwould be so hard to find parts etc and I think they are ugly (I just looked it up). I'll probably get the Civic.

Hey I'm just wondering whether to get an Astra or a Civic (non turbo). Or does anyone have any other ideas?? I'm looking at spending around $15000 for the car and then an extra few grand on body kit, suspension, rims, exhaust etc. Just after a cruiser not a time slip!

Nothing worse than a ricey car with nothing to back it up!!! I've seen a Dihatsu mini van with a wing on the roof!

By the way I grew up in good old Rockingham so I went to Rockingham High. I've only been in Ascot Waters for about 3 years.

Haha thanks for tha support guys. Is a shame and hopefully insurance will cover. The reason I'm going a Civic is because I don't want another car that I can kill myself in, but I like to feel a bit of power underfoot. I can make it look nice but keep hte engine stock. No rice thank you very much (I'd just finished getting all the rice OFF my car) but some dark tint and nice rims would be nice. Anyone hear of a good Civic for sale please let me know. PS Guess I'd better change my user name. I'm not using the LOVE2XLR8 plates anymore!!

Thanks Shaun. I think a Civic would be good. I was going to go back to the faithful Carolla but thought I'd try something new.

And was Turbo. Prob get a 1994 or 95. Don't want to spend too much on it. Get a nice stereo and some dark tint. No other mods necessary!

Course I will keep talking to you guys! You are all legends here at SAU. My Skyline was just like yours by the way... same colour and everything but mine had pearl white rims.

I have promised my parents I'd get a "normal car" this time and the Civic is a great little car for the price. As for how it happened... I was learning how to drive my car safely on the way home last night. I was learning how to take corners without losing it. My boyfreind kept telling me to take each corner really slowly to just learn the correct lines to take etc. But I got a little carried away. At that point a Commodore came around the corner the other way taking it wide. My boyfriend kept telling me to brake and slow down but at that point I'd lost it. Over counter steered. Could have been a lot worse. Smashed into a wire fence and a shipping container. There were poles everywhere. Could have been killed. Can't move my neck - whip lash. The Commodore was gone by the time I'd even started to lose it so luckily they weren't hurt and I didn't hit them. Thats why I'm getting a Civic.

I've just written off my car and I'm insured through Just Car Insurance. I'll keep you posted on the service I receive through them. (I only did it last night so I haven't dealt with them yet.)

Hi Everyone, Just a quick message to let you all know that I am buying a Honda Civic. I wrote off my car last night and it made me realise there is just too much power in that car for me. So no more Skyline. Just like to thank those of you who helped me out with my last accident. I have received nothing but support from everyone here at the forum. I still think that Skylines rock. Fabian has the control arm but the rest I can't find. I spoke to him today.

Am I still able to get that shock absorber from you for $20? I've had no luck finding one...

Certainly was... I only brought it a month ago. The plates on it then were LUV 2 XLR8.
