  2. hey guys just tested the dynolicious ipad app and came up with 238bhp with just a turbo back exhaust and apexi pod with stock boost in very wet conditions, pretty happy with the result, i had the car weight at 1450kg and drivetrian loss at 18% and the road was very flat, how do these results sound?
  3. Damn i wish i had a spare 2k, i would drive to brissy just to pick em up

  5. i found this info on the forum- as i am looking at turbos aswell HKS GT2835 technically they are a GT3071R 56T in cropped turbine form. Using the current Garrett terminology means its easier to compare turbos because their formula tells you the turbine family ie GT30 followed by the compressors major or outside diameter in mm . If you apply this then you can see that a "GT2871R 56T" and a "GT3071R 56T" use the same identical compressor wheel . The turbine side is quite different the GT28 series turbo having a 53.8mm 9 blade 76 trim wheel and the GT3071R in cropped form has a GT30 10 bladed wheel at ~ 56.6mm and 84 trim . The HKS GT2871R 56T uses a custom GT28 turbine housing with the T3 flange cast into it and in 0.64 A/R . The HKS GT3071R Pro S uses a custom GT30 turbine housing in 0.68 or 0.87 A/R ratio , it also needs their unique dump pipe to suit their custom housing Courtesy of discopotato03, not my info
  6. anyone with some pointers on removing the cold start valve, it was hard enough locating it, let alone removing it, do i have to take off the inlet manifold? i have been having a cold start issue ever since i found water in one of my spark plug holes, i dryed it out, changed plugs, then next day when trying to kick it over it starts then will die if i do not apply throttle, revs upto 2000rpm then drops down back to normal as car warms up, tryed reseting the ecu with paperclip, work fine though its telling me no errors, while car was running on 5 cylinders it would start fine but run like shit, now it starts like shit but runs fine, after quite a few hours researching i narrowed it down to faulty coilpack, coolant temp sensor or cold start valve, what do u guys think??? btw where is the coolant temp sensor?
  7. hey mate i have one out of a r33 gts-t that should fit, your welcome to borrow it, i will PM u my number
  8. Thanks for the help guys, it turned out being water sitting on the No2 spark plug hole, must have been from washing the motor, funny how it only affected the car when it was hot, i thought the water would short the coil out no matter what temp the engine was, oh well shes fixed now and fingers crossed no more issues arise.
  9. Cheers for the prompt reply guys, just use normal plugs or iridium?
  10. Hi guys great site you all have here, i just brought a 93 R33 gtst series1 and so far have put about 1000km on it, 700 of them where faultless and i was really impressed with the car until Friday morning when a friend come over to look at my new car and on start up it made a bit of splutter than ran fine until warm, as soon as it got hot it started missing and spluttering at all revs, turbo still spools fine though the motor runs like its running on 5 cylinders sounding like a wrx, the car still idles fine and the revs dont jump up or down there's just no power and constant missing but runs totally fine when cold. The only mods my car has is an exhaust, any help would be very much appreciated. Cheers
