Go Enfield, not a bad area, nearer to everything. There is a pub at the corner of main north rd and grand junction () rd, where you need to turn to go to JMS, also a couple of nice ones in north adelaide only a few minutes from Enfield.

Get a mechanic to give it a check. Should do it on any car.

You win.

Not very adventurous there rob:p Just a set of wheels.

Was told they are the same. I have it from what I would consider a very, very reliable source, although I have not flow tested them myself. Makes sense, both cars are rated at 208kw from the factory, both cars made by the same factory at the same time.

And a little glace cherry for garnish;)

OK a couple of things to think about. Once all the modded cars have been sold from the lots, the price of modded cars will raise -alot. It costs a bloody fortune to mod a car. Take for example the front bar on the grey car, looks like a BN sports(just a guess, not too sure)??? To get a genuine one into aust would cost you 1.5k+, the wheels, second hand in good condition, 2-2.5K. Looks like it has a FMIC? 2k new, 1.2 second hand. (ideal if you want to turn up the boost a bit) Probably also has a cat back system, add another 1k. Probalby also has suspension done? 1-1.5k Thats about 8.5k in mods. What else is done? you are porbably looking at a car that is putting down 180+rwkw, pay a few hundred dollars more for a SAFC and you could well have 200+rwks (I like the front bar too, if you buy the car and want to sell it, I'll give you $500 and pay shipping to adelaide) The best part is that the mods are done, so you wont be voiding any warranty, which modding a stock car would do. Now how attractive is the stocker, which will be the same as every other stocker on the road, will loose resale value quicker than a modded car, and you will probably want to start modding one day anyways? Try getting a list of mods and post it up, this will help give us a better idea of what value you are getting, but be quick, by the looks of the silver car with the aftermarket bar and the 3 spoke wheels, it wont last long. Some food for thought.

boosted32, apparently the setup is worth millions. 9krpm, no worries, I am sure that one day you will be able to return a favour;)

Sydneykid, have you ever driven a before/after with a trust plenum. Car pushing 200-250rwks? Just out of interest? I just dont see how losing all that pipework could hurt. As for power with stock plenum and throttle body, there are guys running sub 10sec 1/4s with RB30 engines with RB30 heads, doesnt mean they wouldnt benefit from an RB25 head, so the point is sort of mute. There are guys running well over 300rwkw with stock plenum and tb, boost will overcome alot, doesnt mean it wouldnt be better to do it another way.

Paul, that's an industrial area, but I will have a look for you see what is nearby.

Well there are 4 SAU guys coming over from WA that are interested on going on a cruise on friday when they get over here. I will let them know to post up their interest. Looks like my car is off the road:( Just have to make sure the guys dont do huge carpark demos and attract unwanted attention before things kick off - getting stopped before you get going is a bit of a pain. -
Found out some info on emissions testing http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/environment/airq...lemissions.html There is a free call number to book the vehicle in, and it meets australian standards, free test and takes up to 1/2 hour. I checked with the guys from regency, and they will pass a car with a larger EDIT turbo if it has an emissions report - probably why you are in your situation 9krpm? I think I will have to check to see if they accept NSW engineering reports too:)

Tony, perhaps you should do a bit more research: http://www.hksusa.com/categories/more.asp?id=1092 2530 is made in T3(rb) as well as T25(sr). I had an adaptor made for T25 to T3 for my 3037, and it cost me $80. But then are costs you may incur, costs of gaskets, oil and water lines, boltage etc - if you relocate the turbo position you may need to redo dump pipe, then there is the AFM to turbo pipe (stock one is plastic, very worthwhile replacing it when you start winding in boost), the turbo to intercooler - all adds up BUT thats the bottom line when you start going down the aftermarket turbo path Very worth it IMHO I have been for a drive in an RB20 powered cefiro, with cooler and exhaust (and fuel pump), fuel cut defender - it was an absolute killer, pulled hard, made 230rwkw at 1.2 bar. Skyline33 - appologies if you dont like the content of this post, as it is a for sale section, not discussion. If you say the word I will delete. Just sort of annoying when there is so much dis-information around.

2nd childhood/midlife crisis - I am acting my age:p gotta make the most of it....lol

Forgot to mention, a Z32 pump will give about the same flow as a GTR, and will fit the same as a GTR.
-
I didnt think skyline fuel pumps were made by bosch????? If you get a bosch 910 (less than $300) they will fit and give you alot more head room than a stock fuel pump. A bit more fiddley to fit than a GTR pump, but not alot of farking around like a 044. A cheaper option than a GTR pump. A second hand GTR pump, expect to pay around $400 retail secondhand, a bit cheaper if you shop around or bargain, but they are a direct fit and will take only about 1/2 hour to replace. Good for 250rwkw.

siksII, Thanks for not getting the thread in the shit:) Its a very fine line between objective and factual and slanderous unfortuneately, so easy to cross - esp when you are pissed off. Perhaps you could contact consumer affairs? If people have justified claims to make. This attemp of mine to use 'aussie knowhow' has cost me alot, freighting back, adapting throttle body, getting vacuum blocks made, getting pipework made - which will now need to be redone when I replace the plenum with one that works - hundreds of dollars done the drain. I will be seeking reimbursement of costs, based on what was supposed to be delivered was not. I hope it gets sorted out quickly, but this could take many months unfortuneately, as the first time the plenum came out and didnt fit up to the supplied throttle body I asked for a refund (I was pretty annoyed that after having my money for a few months, they couldnt get it right the first time) but it was like getting blood out of a stone. Anyway, I hope you sort out the dramas you have, if you are still not happy with the outcome, speak to consumer affairs or similar - that is what they are there for. Also, check around, there are some lawers that will allow you a free initial consult, and if the case is cut and dried, will just take their fee if you win, ie the other person ends up paying;)
