yeah, thats the one I hear all the time, the only problem I find is when its pronounced properly, people look at me strange, and after I have said it a couple of time, i then get "oh, kahzaaarma" (I have a kazama tabin )

Never had a problem with anyone flashing me with my HIDs on (low beam) - BUT the first thing I did when I hooked them up was checked the height on a wall, and made sure the beam was below my highs. If your lenses are dirty, or the bulb isnt sitting quite in the right spot, you may also be getting some scatter which is blinding people. Light height is easy to adjust - if nothing more, it may save you from getting a defect if its a cop you blind

Just get rid of the thing - they are nothing but trouble

Glad to see its coming together, any updates?

to rebuild the shock was about $140 each - and they gave me a 12 month warranty

Just cars told me they werent interested in insuring me (and quoted me over 2K) Unique have insured me, but will only insure car for max of 16K (mods ok), and are charging me nearly 1100 pa to do it. Torque just quoted me a bit over $800 for 25K insurance (reasonably modded S13), choice of repairer, salvage rights etc best part though - they will even give insurance to my car when its on the track (for an extra fee of course) - is there anyone else that does this????

I hope your BF and everyone else is ok, cars can be replaced, lives cannot. A little story: A guys kids are getting bullied, he goes out and kicks the fark out of the little pricks that are picking on his kids ( all teenagers, he went to warn them, but they got uppity, so he finished it) - he gets charged and does 3 months prison (first offence). The guys that were bullying his kids NEVER went near them again - and word got out not to fark with this guy, as he had no problem standing up to little wankers. The guy who did the time, told me he thought it was the best thing he ever did - NOBODY goes near his house, his kids or him anymore, as they know what will happen if they do. Personally, I grew up with the prinicipal that if you stepped out of line, a cop/neighbour/etc would give you a clip around the ear (and/or go tell your parents, which was worse), - certainly kept youngsters respectful and 'civic' minded. ( I am an older bloke, like gazza) It really pisses me off, that nowadays, the criminal is treated like a victim - poor home life, etc - who gives a flying fark, it doesnt give them the right to fark with other peoples lives. And the victim, they get virtually left alone and told to deal with it - why the hell arent the rights of the victims of crime looked after BEFORE the rights of the criminals???? If violence didnt solve anything, then why do we hav armies - violence is the ultimate final solution to any problem (but only legal when the government says it is) bring back public floggings for anti social behaviour I say my 0.02c, and Rhianna, I hope these little human waste deposits get what is coming to them, maybe it will give them the wakeup call they need to start behaving like civilised people instead of f**ktards, cos I dont see how a cuddle from a social welfare worker, and a butt load of taxpayers dollars being spent on them to have a holiday at the governments please would help shit heads like these.

Kei office use a sealed strut insert (KYB), so most bike shops wouldnt have the facilities (I know, I tried). If you disassemble them, the insert is quite light, and would be pretty cheap to send over to qld by post. The mob in qld can actually rebuild the sealed type struts (they did a kei office one for me a while back) good luck.

Guys, be real careful buying 'cheap' kits. I, like many others, have beeen bitten badly, ie, I was quoted $1000 to fit the damn front bar cos it was so badly out of shape and in such poor condition. I also bought a bar from a local manufacturer, and I had to get it redone 3 times before it was right - such a screw around. It seems like you will pay either way - either pay a bit extra and get a decent product to start, or buy cheap and start saving like hell to get it fitted (then often it wont look that great anyway). If you buy a good quality kit, it will cost alot less to fit - net result is it may actually cost less, and you have a quality finish you are happy with (eg, I bought a genuine front bar, and it fitted straight up, perfectly) There area few places that sell genuine, such as C-red (Msport and Wise sport), team jetspeed (the qld mob, not nsw), D1 Garage (origin lab), and also, there area couple of places that do VERY good copies, such as monkey warehouse in Qld. the thing is though, the price for a good copy wont be hugely cheaper than genuine, as a good product takes time to manufacture properly. good luck with the hunt.

or, you can just quote a heap of stuff off the dpi website which is out of date, and unfortuneately doesnt take into account little things like ADRs. (state things like Max DB level of a vehicle exhaust - try reading them) and local road laws, which state that cars must comply with ADRs applicable for their year of manufacture. You cannot just use one source if you want the whole picture - there are many complementary publications out there, which all need to be read together - or, you can just speak to the head inspector (reno?) at welshpool, as he is the one the other inspectors go to when there is doubt. If you dont like his interpretation, you can take your car to an engineer. If you want a rough guideline on what will and wont pass, try listening to people who have ACTUALLY HAD THEIR VEHICLE PASSED - the DPI site, its pretty out of date, and can be somewhat misleading if you use tunnel vision. For those worried about rearward facing vents, dont be, if its the style used in CF bonnets, they are fine as long as the car predates the applicable ADR for compulsory front end collision testing, FACT (go ask reno if you dont beleive me)

Definately in for a group buy, I need a full set of tail lights (brake, indicator etc ) too, as I just hit them with black out paint alternately, does anyone know where I can source PIAA bulbs from?

just had a look on the dotars website, apparently the widest wheel you can have on a vehicle that came out with a maximum tyre width of 205 - largest width is 10" 215 - largest width is 11"

Ok, so some of you may think I am speaking shit, cos what I am about to say will fly in the face of what some people have posted here, meh. I just had my rego transferred from SA to WA, the following were found to be legal 17.10 inch rims rear, 17x9 front, both were measured - the only thing the inspector commented on was the width of the tyre - had to be correct for the rim (they are slightly stretched, so he checked), he also checked the track, as I have widebody rear and pumped front guards. He also pointed out I had some rubbing under the rear, I told him that is why I got the adjustable rear camber arms and he was happy. They will not give a permit for exhausts or suspension. I had coilovers and adjustable arms fitted, no problems, but he also wouldnt give me permits for them - he said 'they are either legal or not' Same for my wheels. Car legal exhaust is 90db, MC its like 98 or 100 or something, but louder than car, truck is also louder than car. Guages can be fitted to the A pillar, but must be fitted in a manner that they will come off if you hit your head on them, or out of head impact range. I also got permits for Bride seats, centre gauges, steering wheel and handbrake cover. He didnt bother giving me one for the shift knob. I also got permits for intercooler and piping, manifold, catch can, front and rear strut braces and pod - basically all the aftermarket looking bits. Hope that helps He (the inspector) said he doesnt normally give permits for pods (or exhausts ) anymore, but as a couple of guys had been through recently with defects for pods, so I got one off him for it (he was also bitching about cops defecting cars who didnt know what they were doing. I was also told pre 1996 cars can have c/f or fibre glass bonnets, as they predate ADR front end crash test requirements. vents are ok, as long as they have mesh (to stop fingers). The bonnet must also have a double latching system (as the factory one does). Do yourselves a favour, if you have mods, get permits, its pretty easy, and I found the guys very reasonable. Its cheaper to spend $30 for a mod permit, than it is for a full inspection. (can save heaps of dramas too) Oh, and I laminated my permits too I love it over here, in SA, a car has to be practically completely factory to pass, including ride height.

the larger the cams, the later the boost comes on but will give better flow (and power) once boost does come up. If you want boost to come on earlier, try the smallest turbing AR that is available, port the head, and get the best flowing exhaust you can find - but definately not larger cams.
