  1. From my previous investigation, the VVT is driven by oil. If you want to retain the VVT, you will have to drill the BR30 block where the oil gallery for the VVT is and presto - VVT RB30. Also from my investigation, if you go to aftermarket cam on the inlet side - no more VVT, so you may not wish to do this? If you can find a VVT RB25DE, and steal the inlet cam, you will have (I believe) a 250 duration ??? lift inlet cam with VVT - IF you can find a cam.
  2. There is a difference between passing on what was read and stating the JMS have done ...... Sydneykid has made many invaluable contributions to this forum, based on many years personal experience with more high performance cars than most people would dream of - all he was doing was passing on an opinion based on that experience. - this is grepins thread, and I am sure he would like a broad varied range of responses so that he can make an informed desicision, which is what this forum is about. Ultimately isnt it grepin's decision to say who he would like to take there attitude somewhere else?
  3. Price definately can be discussed. What is your e-mail? Mine is [email protected] might be easier? I am sure we can come to an agreement. Cheers Steve
  4. Thats a pretty bloody good 60'. Nice avataar too:)
  5. This sounds like a great ECU, infact I think I am sold. Only problem is, that like in the east, no one here will touch/recommend them. I have tried looking on the website, but info is scant. Rang SA distributor and he reckons that the plug in only doesnt have any additonal outputs and is only a basic plug in. About time wolf started publicising/pushing its virtues, cos apart from the west, no one seems to have a clue as to full functionality and application. spose I'll stick with the power fc, but this whole retune for different weather conditions is a pain, unless you want to spend 2-3 hundy a pop, just got to drop the boost back:(
  6. [email protected] - Fark, what sort of 60' and RT? With that TS perhaps there is more to come? You gotta be happy
  7. Memories of 'The Clumps'
  8. These injectors are the same impedence as the stock RB25 injectors. So if you are running stock ones at the moment, these will be ok, just have to dyno straight away as you will be running rich as hell. I would think microtech would allow low or high impedence anyways:)
  9. Sorry, should of explained better, the pineapples that fit in front of the axle.
  10. Total change of theme, but this is the wasteland:) They all look tiny next to this. Got sent it at work, and just have to share.
  11. I'd like to know what is under the hood. Matt, where are you Matt? Been a bit quiet lately - stop holding out
  12. What an awesome result - congrats:) Hope you got another turbo waiting nearby Have you thought about going for a solid alloy spacer in place of the front pineapples - I have heard it can work wonders, just locks the whole thing up.
  13. I have some 550cc high impedence denso injectors. Have been cleaned, flow matched and ordered from lowest to highest. They are top feed and have new o-rings. Asking $550 Steve
  14. Nice results dude, wont be long before your in the 12s! I notice he got a quicker RT and then you just handed him his arse.
  15. Why are you selling? Although the 180 are a nice car too - god bless those japanese car manufacturers.
  16. Goss dude, we all need it! What happened exactly with the defect? And tell us all about the new car - prefer a couple of pics too if you have em, C'mon, give us the good oil!
  17. After: Definately worth a read
  18. LMFHO, still it saved 2 seconds! Before:
  19. How many horses you putting down nowadays Matt?
  20. Yeah it does get quiet in here at times
  21. Well I got a nismo cat back system, so its not so loud - attract less unwanted attention that way. Had a special high flow cat , and fixed the coola pipes, and of course the twiin plate OS giken clutch. It goes alot harder than when I took you for a spin. Its still a work in progress, with the following waiting to be fitted: Hillsmotorsport plenum 044 fuel pump fuel pressure reg 550cc injectors, getting a manifold and dump made at the moment - another 2 weeks wait and a new pipe from the AFM to the turbo. I have a 264 exh cam on its way from jap and an adjustable cam gear. I also have a new rear bar waiting to go on, and a few other miscellaneous bits. I am thinking I will just put a 1.6mm headgasket on, fit the 3037 and see how much the stock bottom end will handle. James at D1 Garage reckons I should be good for up to about 300rwkw with the engine decompressed as he has seen it done heaps in japan without any problems. I am tempted to believe he knows what he is talking about after going for a spin in his Cefiro - I came back after a short demo and it took me about 1/2 an hour to get the smile off my face - that car is sick, and its got stock internals rb20, stock ecu, stock afm etc. Its nuts. Have you had much done yet?? EDIT: I have just organised some 850cc injectors, so I now have a set of 550cc's for sale as well as the clutch - if anybody needs em:D
