  1. Yes, and there are some nice photos of some nice young ladies too:) Keep em coming Cheeky!
  2. Makes life so much nicer when you can get the power to the wheels:)
  3. Got a twin plate clutch fitted today (anybody want to buy a 9 button single in good condition? ) When the car came off the hoist the guy doing the work noticed one of the intercooler silicone hoses had sort of dislodged itself. (fixed for free, good old fashioned service) It had obviously been that way for a while, probably started small and got worse over a period of time. When I got in to drive home (peak hour) I had the joy of a much more responsive car and a grippy as hell clutch. I am sure there are a few commuters who now wont like to get anywhere near maroon skylines - it was either stall, really slow take off until the clutch bit then wheel spin or just lite em up from the line. Thank god it wasnt raining.
  4. YBSLO4 If you are just after parts, the Yen is pretty weak at the moment, and there are some bargains to be had OS. I know of a couple of good places to get really cheap HKS stuff through. If you were after something else, please disregard this post.
  5. 46n2, whiteline also have alot of suspension info, including castor, toe and camber with nice piccies. RaduiM - dude I hope that is(EDIT)positive castor. You can adjust the castor on a skyline, just need bushes or and adjustable rod to replace the stocky. I had my bushes done, now got 7.5deg pos castor on the front:D
  6. What is a chateubrand by the way, sounds like something Whatsisname would be into?:whip:
  7. The question has to be asked, how do you grain feed a fillet?...lol (Just my little attempt to keep the wasteland ALIVE - it just gets so quiet in here:rolleyes:
  8. Any word on these pistons yet?
  9. I think the factory boost cut is 12psi.

    car audio

cant you get some sort of supressor to stop the whirring. I had it on the last car, and it was a $20 joey that went off the battery?
  11. Nice price, tell him I offer 96 cans of premium...lol 25% sounds like a pretty good result, esp as the head doesnt flow too bad stock. Where did you source the gasket, that seems like a pretty good price? Cheers Edit: I changed my mind on the 96 cans, make it a barrel!
  12. Sorry, slightly off subject, but where did you get it done, how much (if that isnt a rude question) what sort of figures does it flow and do you have pics? Also, what size/brand head gasket and where did you get it? sorry for all the quesitions, just I am about to undertake a similar exercise. Cheers Steve
  13. Cheers for the replies. I am going a little over 220rwkw, just worried about on the twisty stuff is all.
  14. Try reading this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=14723 or better still do a search. The pros and cons of highflowing have been covered many times and in depth.
  15. Greddy Plenum from Nengun is less than $1200, just got to hope customs dont hit you or it could be dearer. Hillsmotorsport plenum cost $895 with XF throttle body and Mark there quoted me that they flow 95cfm better per runner than stock. I think sub zero are about $1500, they also flow very well from all reports.
  16. What flow rate is the 510 rated to? Also, I believe I may still have surge problems by just upgrading the intank, which I could do with the 044 by itself? Cheers
  17. Dude, it should be alright BUT you must keep the boost down AND drive like an old mole. If your turbo flows more air than the injectors can fuel, by by ringlands and possibly more = rebuild engine. Boost is not so relevant as air flow, a bigger turbo will flow more air at the same boost pressure as a smaller turbo - everything else being equal. If you fit the turbo, try just using say 5psi, as 7psi is stock boost. I know that the stocker will flow alot more than that, but for example Whasisname is making 257rwkw with only 13psi (or there abouts). My car is at 89% (injector duty cycle) with .85bar on a stock turbo, so it is really important to keep the boost down until you know what it is doing. And whatever you do, drive conservatively. The other mods you are planning are good, but with a bigger turbo you will probably need a bigger fuel pump and fuel pressure reg as well as a new clutch. This will become more apparent when you get the engine management on and put the car on a dyno to tune it.
  18. Sorry for not posting with the oil coola thread, Anybody got these for sale in good condtion? Cheers Steve

    Oil Cooler

After an oil cooler, prefer a jap one with thermostat. Cheers Steve
  20. Shame you dont live in Adelaide:(
  21. Mounting, put it behind the kick panel
  22. You need to tell it if you are not using the Power FC EBC. If you are using any other sort of EBC, dont worry about it. when you plug the power fc in and start the car IF it doesnt start, that will be because the EBC has been selected and the power fc cannot find it. Just switch it off - I am pretty sure its in the etc menu. There is a pdf in english for a power fc hand controller, includes all the warnings, it is at the APEXi USA website, cant remeber the address, but if you do a search on google you should find it. Honestly, this is absolutely the easiest thing you could do, more chance hurting the car giving it a wax...lol EDIT: dont even need to use the double sided tape!
  23. So will that still be a bit noisey? Could I make up a box out of polystyrofoam (spelling) to help further, or would it be a fire risk? Cheers
  24. Hi all, Is there any way that anyone has seen to quieten down an externa fuel pump? I have heard really nasty things about the 044, so I am wondering if anything can be done before I install it. Cheers Steve
  25. This should take you about 5 minutes to install. Just plug it in, reset it in the etc menu, and make sure the EBC option is off (you will know if it is on as it wont fire up:) ). It is dead easy and you should get a performance increase. dont be paranoid, just dont force the plug. The initialise settings are conservative, so you dont have to worry there.
