  1. Whatsisname, what sort clutch did you waste?
  2. MattR, how do you find the launches with the RE540s? And good luck for the weekend.
  3. TUFR33, with 12 psi on a stock coola, how long are you expecting the stock turbo to last? You might be lucky, but you may not.
  4. Munro, just out of interest, what sort of an improvement would you expect from slicks with a set up like yours? Would it make much of a difference or are Nittos that good?
  5. :bahaha: You got my vote....hmmmm, steak knives
  6. Sorry to hear the bad news Erica - perhaps you need to organise a fund raiser!
  7. Have a go with brake cleaner, some electrical contact cleaners leave a residue which wont help. I wouldnt think (hypothesising) it would be economical to repair an AFM as they aren't that expensive? I dont think it would be a bad idea to upgrade the pod/filter. Having said that 3 afms - perhaps you should get your electrics tested, you may be frying them? Just my 0.02c
  8. With your mods, no real reason to upgrade your clutch. If you do want to, make sure you take into account what your target hp figure is going to be and then make a decision, as this will make a difference. Steve
  9. Very old saying.....probably cause I'm very old
  10. Thats the shit, factory finish.
  11. Hehehehe.... that would be like having a dog and barking too!
  12. JimX, That is what they quoted, to tell the truth I wasnt too concerned about the details of fitting as I was after one to be sent to me, which is happening. They do supply a throttle cable, and if you want one sent to you, rather than fitted, they are doing one for me for $890 with throttle body. I think $600 is a bit rich for fitting a plenum - I say this because it cost me about that to get my cooler fitted, including all the pipework being made up. These plenums bolt up to the stock runners. Anybody else been quoted to fit a plenum or tell us how much to fit a plenum? Anybody else think $600 is a bit rich?
  13. Try Competition Coatings 10 Audrey AVe Nth Coburg Ph 9354 8021
  14. Try this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...=&threadid=7731
  15. You will have to do exhaust, clutch and fuel system first. Even then I think you may be asking a bit much to get a turbo good for 250rwkw for only $1500.
  16. Hey Matt, if you could get a price for SAU members:D off the guys would be great, just standard charge to fit and paint etc. You have the same colour car as mine so if you can get a good match I will be very impressed 'cos its a bitch if you know what I mean. Cheers Steve:)
  17. MattR, will be good to hear what you think of the final result. Miss*33 at the end of the day, there loss.
  18. Congratulations Uncle Joe - good to hear all are well So do you have a neice or a nephew?
  19. Well, the link I posted has them for about $800AUD new for SARD 550cc or 850cc - you wont get cheaper than that. Other option, 6BOOST on the performance forums can highflow, clean, replace o-rings etc on the stockies - cost you $400 for all 6. There are a few guys selling hi flow injectors and aftermarket ones on these pages, but you will be doing well to get them this cheap. If you cant afford new, go drop 6Boost a pm, he's a nice bloke and will look after you.
  20. INASNT, you could try: http://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/bcpartli...ntake=FI#engine that is if you are not upgrading your plenum, otherwise - ring around wreckers, go for some series 5 rx7 injectors, they are top feeds, so you will have to upgrade your fuel rail, but you can pick them up for $50-$75 each, give em a clean and good as new(hopefully...lol).
  21. This might help: http://www.nitroware.net/~tony/skyline_book.pdf Not sure that it has RB25DET ratios, but I am sure it has some in there - just my server is a bit slow at the moment, so got bored waiting:D The skyline uses a 4.11 final too if I am not mistaken, so it should be a good match. Not too sure about the strength comparsion, sorry. Hope it helps anyway Steve
  22. Hey no dramas, you gotta check these things out, thanks anyways Steve
  23. I gave Straightline Automotive Enhancements a call, and they just told me 'sorry mate, we dont do anything for a skyline' Got in touch with Silins, different story, they are sending some photos - still to give Steve's body shop a call - soon.... Thanks for the replies:) Steve
  24. Rev, it may be that it can vary from car to car. On mine it showed 100% (5.1V)at 4500rpm with 191rwkw peak, once the Z32 went on, it tuned to 203rwkw at 4.4V (7200rpm) Sorry thats not much help. Steve
  25. Whatsisname, I agree completely - the 1/4 mile tells no lies, a very accurate representation of all given things on a certain day, including driver skills and all round set up of the car, not just engine. the thing I am getting at is that you can set a car up to be very fast in a straight line, figures look good on paper, but it may be a pig to drive in all conditions but a straight line. At the end of the day, I suppose its a bit academic - but a 1/4 mile time is 'real' Please dont think I am having a go at anybody who competes in or follows drag racing - I respect a good performance package whether for the strip or around a track!
