Jeez its a tough crowd in here (some), the poor guy is obviously from os, and he gets slammed for not speaking english, his grammer isnt the best and he gets canned for that. What ever happened to the friendly forums? "my car somehow accidently make a 180 spin " siaw, just so you know next time, to write this using the correct aussie grammer, try this: "I farked up coming out of a bend, put my foot in a bit too hard and the back end went out, after a bit of tank slapping, I lost it compeletly and she did a 180" Its ok, I know I have farked up heaps driving my car, especially when I was a young fella - probably why P platers have such a high mortality rate Dont feel too bad about being honest when you fark up, we all do it, its one way to learn. Glad to hear there was no accident, you did get lucky there. siaw, suggest, (as others have) it has something to do with the TT, check all the wiring, if that doesnt work, also check your inlet piping, you may have a small leak near the manifold as some pipes on these cars can be a bit old and tired. Also, as suggested, you could try adjusting the idle control valve, but this is more a cover up than a fix. If you live near willetton, drop me a pm and you can come around to my place and I will have a look for you to see if it is something obvious, or, if all else fails, just take it to a reputable workshop such as C-Red, Hyperdrive, X-Speed and ask them to take a look. good luck

Forgot to add, the guy to ask to speak to is Colin, the proprietor

Hi all, I thought I would let you guys know, there is a place in cannington that is quitting his redline oil stock. He has Lightweight Shockproof going for $100 for the 1 gallon container, which is bloody cheap. He has a few other redline oils in stock, but I didnt ask for a full price list, soooo if anybody is after some cheap redline oil it would be worth checking these guys out before they sell it all: Carline Mufflers Cannington Unit 2/99 warf street Cannington (city side of carousel, just off Albany Hwy

Jash, thats a great price, can you do other sizes in the nexen? eg 235/40/17 and 215/45/17??????
-
cheers, now I think you are special too
-
Hi guys, I realise they may not be worth much, unless you need them, and I dont. If anybody would like these (before they become landfill) please let me know cheers Steve

Thanks guys, I definately havent given up on the idea of getting a track day going, ideally I would like to see regular practice sessions available. Will let you all know when it happens for sure. Paul, nah, I didnt move back here for drift. Just depressing when you cant do something you love doing
-
excellent price, where was that from? I have also been using shockproof lightweight for ages, as have several people I know - its excellent stuff. I also put some in my wifes Lantra because the synchros were starting to go (grinding a little in 3rd and 5th) and now its like new again.

No he didnt, I asked about october, but he said he couldnt say as he (Jay) was told there is no proposed date for completion, just that it will get done when it gets done. Bit of a shame, might have to move back east
-
hey Pete, doesnt wanners have a kart track out the back? Do you think they would allow us to use it?
-
AHG dont allow drift, thats their official position on it anyways - so they told me.
-
so some people keep saying (the teases they are), excuse my scepticism, but I will believe it when it happens - not in the best mood now that collie has cancelled on us. Its just been too long, and I am starting to go nuts
-
Now if only there was somewhere to drift in this bloody state...
-
Well, they just told me I cant use the track, said they dont know when we will be able to get on. Sorry all.
-
Sorry mate, just re-read your post. A boost controller will bring boost on much quicker than factory setup or even using a bleed. Add to that a cooler that may have a bit of pressure drop and you will have a world of difference. Just remeber your stock boost pressure is around 9-10 psi, with a 2 stage boost control, where you get approx 2 psi less until you reach around 5000rpm. Hoep that helps explain the difference

to quote an e-mail I got: "Catch the DRIFT action this Sunday on ‘Speedweek’ (SBS). Our special 90-minute telecast of the FORMULA DRIFT & DRIFT AUSTRALIA Championship events from Mallala starts at 12 noon." For those interested, should be good viewing

Mechanical damage. There are too many variables to say for sure, mods, power, how you drive etc. Having said that, I have never had a problem with either my skyline (which was puttind down over 300rwkw) or my sil, which is putting down alot less As precaustion its always a good idea to make sure your car has had an oil change, and put in new spark plugs, make sure your radiator is topped up too. Dont overboost your car, use good fuel and you should be fine. And if your car is slammed, and it has a big off you 'may' do some body kit damage. If you just push your car enough that you feel comfortable with it, you shouldnt have too many dramas. Most big offs seem to happen when people start really nudging the envelope, that I have seen anyways

Motoring Southwest are meeting this friday to confirm pricing for track, I will give a full update early next week.

I agree completely, I have learned to get around the frustration of delays by just allowing extra time whenever I want to go somewhere - and I expect the worst from other drivers. As you say, anticipation, I anticipate poor drivers , plus I know I can fark up on the roads occasionally, not paying 100% attention, being distracted by 'scenery', nagging kids/wife, thinking about what I need to do when I get somewhere, etc. I try not to do it, but it does happen (hey, I'm human ) Its funny though, my wife is a really bad 'back seat road rager' she just goes off at everyone when I am driving, pretty funny if I didnt have to listen to it. Even funnier, I reckon she is a worse driver than most of the people she goes off at

XRW, yep, got you down + 1 already. Josh, at this stage, probably only one day. I did leave it open and book the whole weekend, but it seems most dont want the two days. Without the numbers, it would get very expensive for people on the sunday, unfortuneately.

Baz, good idea, I'm in too Unscarred711, no probs, I'll put you down TRH, its around 2 hours drive south, spectator are free.

Congrats! Weston is a really good last name, makes it easy to find first names that fit. I personally like 'normal' names such as: Thomas (my youngest is Thomas) Robert (good friend called Robert Bruce) Alexander is a good one too, nice strong sounding name. The way we named our children is I got a baby name book, got my wife to write a list of names she liked, I then picked one that wasnt on the list and argued about it for 9 months until I won
