  1. thanks for the link Dean. Mate, if you stop driving it, they win. Dont let them win.
  2. Well, if you can source it else where, sure demand a refund, as they told you it would be 2-3 weeks. If you can, try starting with 'remember the exhaust I ordered' then ' you said it would be 2-3 weeks?' as he explains why its longer and goes on about delays, tell him you require a refund, as you are unsatisfied with the delay and wish to source a different exhaust elsewhere. If he protests, tell him you have recorded the conversations, that you have legal advice that they are in breach of contract and that if they dont refund the money within 5 days you will be taking action to recover your money added to which will be legal fees, as well as seeking damages for your vehicle being off the road for an extended period. but the bottom line is, they are in the US, you are in aust, and unless you have a friend that can take action from the US, and you have money to burn, they can screw you.
  3. R32 ECU is reprogrammable, but by the sounds there wouldnt be too many workshops that know how to do this? There is a power fc for R32 plugs straight in and comes preloaded with a base map so you can start and run the car without dramas. The only Nissan consult I have seen cost the guy around $7K AUD second hand, so he told me.
  4. NP, looking forward to hearing about them. cheers
  5. One day I will own a nice car:( in the mean time its off to Maccas for a drive through run, see if I can get a sub 12.5 (dont think so, the service is lousy)
  6. Temp correction AFAIK, corrects amount of fuel being delivered - similar to a choke function, so the car will idle on warm up. If you find it idling better on 1.15, perhaps you need to adjust the maps? Raises an interesting point though, why does the power fc allow correction at full operating temp?
  7. Interesting. How did you find the hankooks? Any chance of a review? cheers
  8. R33GTSt - 4.11:1, R32GTSt - 4.3#:1 not sure about the GTR, as it had a larger engine. If I had to choose, I would say go the R32 GTS diff, its shorter = more torque:) BTW, D1 garage had (think they still have it) a TRD diff centre, dont know if its any good to you.
  9. I wish I bought an ex drift car - probably would have saved me a bloody fortune in mods Triple plate clutch, only one reason for that, and who knows whats inside the engine:) God it would be tempting to pull the engine down just to check. How is the idle? And heat shielding.... ah if only they could talk.
  10. If it doesnt have tomei markings, how would you know its a tomei cam? I have hks 256/8.8 inlet, and side by side with the stock cam, its alot larger. Send them back.
  11. hmm twin feed fuel rail - thats the sh1t. should be a nice little setup when you are finished Clint.
  12. http://www.cusco.co.jp/english/e_cont.html everything you ever wanted to know about mechanical diffs. If you want to get into a bit of dorifto, go the two way. If you dont want to get into a bit of dorifto, go the two way:) If you can source a 1.5 way that is fine too I suppose, I have a two way - very predictable, and if you get sideways and back off too quickly, you dont have to worry about the rear end swinging to the other side of the road, it just gently pulls back in. Just be warned, they can go clunk alot, and make alot of noise in service stations and car parks when the wheels lock and you are turning corners at slow speeds.
  13. 2000rpm? lots of fuel? you dont have a vacuum leak do you?
  14. fatz, certainly did, SRs were the only ones they had in stock thats bizarre Duncan, the difference is quite dramatic.
  15. Common criminals have more rights than someone driving a car, criminal law assumes innocence until proven guilty - with the road traffic act you have to prove your innocence. Unless you are a thief, then you dont even get prosecuted.
  16. hippy, there is already anti 'hoon' laws, its called the road traffic act. Dangerous driving, creating excessive noise are two that come to mind. If the cops werent out setting performance car defect stations, perhaps they would see guys going fully over the top in places where they shouldnt. Then again, when was the last time someone was hurt by a doughnut? I agree with autobarn, get the cops out there chasing criminals, instead of trying to re-invent the wheel by changing existing laws that should be more than adequate. When are the law makers and politicians going to start seeing what is happening and start protecting public from criminals, instead of making public into criminals and letting the real criminals go around unmolested?
  17. lion = big pu55y:p:D sorry couldnt help myself....
  18. fitted RE55S to the front - understeer is gone (for now:)) interesting that the 235s I fitted are alot wider than the goodyear 235s I had on previously, the tyres are wider than my 8" rims????
  19. yes, lucky for those that own R32s - very considerate of nissan. Other way of doing it is one supply, one return. SK was saying that he runs the stock pump as a lift pump, surge tank and one inline. But three pumps is just plain greedy:)
  20. dont think the mech diff is lighter? not sure, they are both not very light items. New mech diff is around the 2K mark, second hand, depends on if you get lucky or not, but reasonable price is between 800-1.2k for good condition from what I have seen. Not sure what a stock diff is worth - make me an offer:)
  21. sh1t, I am running between 34 and 36 degrees:) and fuel is between 0.988 and 1.004. I have found any more fuel and she doesnt like it - still a bit rich though. got the AAC valve all the way out too, but found by setting the TPS to 0.60V it was happy, didnt mess with the throttle stop.
  22. no, but 225/50/16s are $270:)
  23. Go the mechanical. I have a nismo, which is pretty street friendly, it doesnt seem anywhere as clunky or harsh as Kaaz or Cusco, quite nice. If you want a stock skyline diff, I have a spare one for sale:p
  24. 9krpm, interesting sig:)
