  1. yeah i dont think i have the traction control on mine as its a gt-four , it feels like it was cuttin power too when flashing, is there anyway to turn that shit off on gt-four?
  2. yeah i dont think the squirters are gunna be an issue as im not going for all out power but having a thicker crown on the n/a piston would be more prone the heat soak but again shouldnt be a real issue on mild power figures i'll have a crack at it!
  3. i've searched for ages at to wat this button does but all i get back is the gt-t models having a snow button etc, mine is like a 3 way rocker switch with 2 clear bits that glow red when clicked either way with just A/T in the middle of the switch, im guessing something to do with the attesa system but just wanna know wat it does? any one have an auto 34 gt-four?
  4. sorry to bring up an old thread but did anyone end up figuring this shit out? my r34 gt-four does it too when accellerating at a fair rate of knots
  5. yeah i saw a stag neo det and manual box for like 1800 or something like that on ebay was cheap but i dont have that money to spend at the moment and have all this shit to use anyway, i'm not to concerned about the n/a bottom end it should be up to the task, they getting 500hp on stock bottom end neo det and de's use same gtr rods and pistons are a little thicker on top and made of same shit as turbo pistons, just hoping the CR is round 9:1 that way it should in theory be very close to det spec
  6. sorry i didnt mention that i was turboing it, all my manifolds etc wont fit the neo na head(having smaller ports etc), i have the greddy style inlet and everything on an 25/30 in another car but have a gtr head for that now and wanna use the whole 25setup on this r34 gt4, cant just slip the 25/30 in cause of 4wd and would need adapter plates etc. im just tryin to use wat i have in the shed and wanted to make sure it was going to be all good before i rip both cars apart,
  7. hey, ive done some researching and can only really find people putting neo and s1-s2 heads on rb30- 25det bottom ends etc but havent found any info on puttin an s1 -s2 rb25 turbo head on a r34 neo natro asp bottom end, now people have said that cross matching the turbo blocks with the neo heads will create low compression ratios but if my rb25de neo has a CR of 10:1 it shouldnt drop the comp that much and thus having a nice CR and the strength of the neo bottom ends? also wanna know if the different piston design in the neo will interfere with the head/valves at all? any info much appreciated cheers dave
  8. hey, being a noob to dry sump etc, the one thing i havent seen on here is where the pressure line is fed back into the block? doe it run through a cooler and into the block via the filter port???, and wat do u do with the stock pump? take the gears out and block it up or something like that? any info would be much appreciated
  9. cheers mate , i have searched for hours for the same coloured wires but they usually different colours and have a fat and thin wire, you say the excite wire needs to be switched whereas other threads suggest to constant battery power, this is what i'm trying to sort but it does make sense to switch it
  10. hey all, i have installed an rb25/30 into a hg holden and have conflicting information on which wires on the alternator are wat, i have two thin wires from the brown plug on the alt itself, now from wat i've been researching there are a few different plugs and wires coming from/too the alt itself as some people claim they have a fat and thin wire, but usually one is constant with wat people are saying which is the red/white wire (thin). i am lead to believe that the white wire with red trace( or vice versa) is a charge indicator lamp wire and the light green (also thin) is 12v positive, now where i am confused is that do i wire the green wire straight onto the battery itself as in can i loop it round and wire it to the positive on the alt itself? or does it have to be a 12v ignition source (key on will provide the power), any info at all will be muchly appreciated , just want to know which way is the best way to go about it cheers dave
