  1. I can't imagine the ECU jumping into 'limp' mode just because you don't reset the fluid det counter. Some have suggested there may be some changes in the way the TCU controls the transmission based on the fluid age. I haven't seen anything official to confirm this and I have my doubts this is any more than a plain old counter, but if it is true, it would be a good idea to reset the counter when you replace the fluid. No idea if there is a 'non-consult3' way of doing this on the V35. I know for sure it is a consult only procedure on the maxima CVT TCU..
  2. ah ok. the factory 18s on the V35 have 225/45 fronts and 245/45 rears. the stock 19s have 245/35. The higher profile on the 19s on the V36 will make the ride about as smooth as the factory 18s on the V35. 245/40/19 is quite a big tyre. even the current commodore doesn't run a tyre that large.
  3. That's a high profile for a 19in rim. I run 45 profile tyres on my 18s to get the right overall diameter. The 19s should have 35 profile tyres I believe. Unless you are running something like 205 tyres. 19s with 45 profile tyres should feel the same as 18s with 45 profile tyres anyway.
  4. wait.. isn't a p0340 code 'bank 1'? which is the right side (drivers side)? When I had a 'bank 2' A/F ratio sensor fault, it was definitely the passenger side
  5. have you checked the codes and confirmed it is the same as last time?
  6. I just bought a genuine clutch switch which fits into the existing cluch pedal housing. the clutch switch input on the CC unit is quite flexible, it works with a change of state, eg. closed - open, open-closed, 0V-12V, 12V-0V.
  7. Maybe.. The side anchors on mine look very factory, the centre anchor was installed during compliance and it is obviously different to the others.
  8. the side ancor points in mine are directly behind the side seats on the parcel shelf. if they are there, you can't miss them. Perhaps someone has unbolted them on your car? but there should still be a hole in the parcel shelf..
  9. Looks good. Cold package was a larger battery and no key locks on the front doors I believe. Anchor points should be on the rear parcel shelf, at least they are on my sedan. Coupe exhaust could probably be found at a wrecker? And just an FYI. All 350gt sedans are 'premium'.
  10. I wouldn't take box trailer to pedders.. But maybe some franchises are better than others.. I have had many good experiences with the local fulcrum suspension outlet, but I am not sure if they are in all locations. As for the KU36, I know the op had 39s, I was just pointing out they do make a good tyre, if you can ignore the noise. A friend at work uses them on his turbo rx3 track car.. Where noise isn't exactly a problem. But their 'mid range' tyres are quite ordinary.
  11. The KU36s I had were one of the best tyres I have used for grip and feedback, pitty they are insanely noisy. Not suitable for a daily IMHO, unless you have a car with a lot of sound insulation. I have had KU19s too, and they were quite poor all round.
  12. under $200 http://oziespares.com.au/25310-spf3297k.html and if you remove the arms and take them to a shop, they shouldn't charge much more than $50 to press out the old ones. The superpro bushes don't need to be pressed in. Coupe springs should come close though, I just don't know anyone that has done it.
  13. They should come close, otherwise, have you considered the superpro eccentric upper control arm bushes?, they claim to give +- 0.5deg camber adjustment
  14. how much camber have you got? I have z springs on my sedan, and the last tyres I had on the front were KU36s which are known to be soft, yet still did 30,000km with about -1.2deg camber.
  15. tempting.. do you have the series 2 facia in both the Navi and Non-navi version?
  16. Obviously?? I am not sure how it is that obvious from the OP's post?? Anyway.. as a V36 owner, perhaps you can tell us what is special about the wipers that prevents an off the shelf item at any auto supplier fitting?
  17. What's so special about V36 wipers? Unless they are somehow unusual, can't you just head down to autobarn/supercheap/repco and buy the right wiper blade width, trim the length to suit and install them?
  18. You might be right.. I was just looking at the cost to import one which seems to be quite a bit cheaper than buying locally. Probably to the right buyer the sunroof/cruise/etc are a big ticket item. these are some of the examples I have been looking at. http://prestigemotorsport.com.au/stock/show_car.php?id=2891 http://prestigemotorsport.com.au/stock/show_car.php?id=3022 http://prestigemotorsport.com.au/stock/show_car.php?id=3254
  19. depends on the state.. V35s are P-plate legal in Qld, as they come in under the 210kw limit.. no such luck with the V36 though. Anything built after start of 2010 needs to come in under 130kW/t. Different states have different rules though. To the OP.. good call with getting a odo check from Japan. I would still have it checked by a mechanic who knows these cars, or knows the 350Z fairly well.
  20. I can't recall the details printed on the back of the steering wheel airbag on my 05 V35 last time I had it off, but 'Takata' doesn't ring any bells. 2 security torx screws and you can lift the airbag off the steering wheel. you shouldn't even need to unplug it to read the detail on the label..
  21. I had a '93 J30 for 13 years.. but only changed to a V35 6MT sedan at 37 .. now the kids are old enough to get themselves in and out of the car, I probably would go with a coupe if I could get a reasonable figure for my sedan. As for the OPs choice.. go for the coupe.. one day practicality will take a higher priority like it did for me.. until then.. enjoy it!
  22. Apologies.. the G/Z combo is coupe springs on the rear not the front. However, there should be a difference between rear revised 350z springs and S2+ coupe (with 19in rays) springs. They have the same spring rate, but the 350Z springs should be shorter, so you should see a height difference by fitting uprated coupe springs on the rear vs revised 350z rear springs. As for what it will look like.. put a jack under the front of your car and lift it about 12mm and have a look from the side.
  23. this is something that isn't that uncommon on G sedans in USA.. they call it a G/Z combo. They mainly do it to make the wheel arch gap similar front/back as even in stock form the gap between the rear guard and tyre is larger than the front. I don't know anyone in Aust running this though. I am running 350Z revised springs all round on my sedan and the front camber isn't that bad (about -1.2), but still out of spec.
  24. I wouldn't be worried, as long as the thread is correct and the oil seal sits in the right spot, it will be fine. There are a range of different sized Ryco filters that fit and all work ok.
