  3. Strange thing is though it only happens on idle with the aircon on, also I've had the shaft play for a while and it just started now arhgg it's a brain rapist haha lol.
  4. Sorry I thought that was my reply because I didn't get an email like I usually do and didn't pay attention to it, it's got about 2-3mm of shaft play pushing in and out of the turbo.

  6. Anyone? I have been monitoring my oil level and it hasn't moved at all over the past week or so.
  7. Hey guys first of all I'll describe my car and I'll keep this thread for all my problems instead of opening up new threads, and yes I will and have search before I ask lol. Car is a R34 GTT Mods: Full 3" exhaust with a split dump and screamer pipe. Cold Air Intake. Turbo Smart Boost Tee at 12psi standard turbo. Front mount intercooler. Yellow Jacket Coil Packs. NGK PFR8 plugs. Apexi Power FC tuned with 211RWKW. Exedy Heavy Duty Cushion Button Clutch with Lightened Flywheel. I always use Royal Purple 10/40 oil and Genuine oil filter. Fuel: Shell V-Power. Ok so now that thats covered, I recently came up with a problem. Sometimes when at Idle especially if I'm idling for a while or with the Aircon on I get a greyish/black smoke smells like burnt oil. This started happening after I had a vacuum leak for a while, ended up being my PCV valve and I have since changed it and went to re-ajust the idle and turned the screw on the AAC, not sure if this has anything to do with it but I'm putting everything out there. What could be causing the problem? I've done a at home valve stem seal check (hold the revs to 2500rpm for 2 minutes then snap throttle and check for smoke and it was clear) My oil is way past it's oil change time and is black and is a little more runnier, I will be changing this tomorrow and I have been thinking of changing over to Penrite Racing 10 what are your thoughts? Performance wise everything is the same. I do have quite abit of Shaft Play in the turbo. Any help and advice is very much appreciated in advance, thanks.

  9. Hey John thanks for the reply I got the price via email, what do you mean by the carbotic being interesting? Is that a button clutch, pretty good price compared exedy and xtreme, I'll call Doug in the morning and let use know, what do you guys say about a lightened flywheel, thanks.

Yeah I know that, but what are you're thoughts on this that's all, I mean if there is enough reason to go to NPC I'm always up for it, I got a quote from there today although I have never used them before so I'm not sure on them, Jim B is the one that told me to just go the Exed, Hornsby is abit of a mission I'm in Rockdale, so does anyone know of anyone closer to me, thanks.
  12. Hey guys well there goes my clutch in my R34 GTT Series 2. Currently its got 200rwkw but soon to hopefully be 300rwkw. Spoke to a few reputable clutch dudes, and they told me to go a Exedy R33 GTR race clutch as the r33 gtr clutches have a higher load clamp which will aid in holding in the power. What if I just go for a R33 GTR Solid button or Cushion button? if so what would you recommend? It's my daily although I'm pretty rough. Second thing, what are some good trustworthy workshops in Sydney to fit them as I have really stuffed my back and can't do it myself anymore. I've been quoted $900 to replace clutch, machine the flywheel, new gearbox oil & rear main seal, this is by the workshop that usually carries out the work on my car and tuned it, it just seems a little too steep for me, normally it would be $400 for labor, $90 to machine a flywheel and around $100 for the oil and thats max for the oil, how much is a rear main seal? What do you guys think I should be paying to get this service and also what are you're recommendations on the clutch. Also should I get a lightened flywheel? any side effects of getting a lightweight flywheel? I'm used to N/A so normally it's the better thing to do although with turbo I'm not sure, as it will be less load I'm guessing the turbo will be laggier? should I just leave the standard flywheel? Please help me ASAP as this is my daily driver and I need to get started on it asap, thanks.

I ran those before the PFR8S and it was the same thing, well the owner in Japan did fit quite a few Nismo parts to the car, I'll check what thermostat is in there and give the AAC valve a clean aswell, is there a way I can get error codes through a power fc by any chance, thanks. And whats the difference between the BCPR6ES and the BCPR6E? And could some refresh my mind the lower the number the higher the plug temp correct? thanks.

  16. Yeah the exhaust leak is on the turbo to dump pipe gasket, I changed the 02 sensor about 15000kms ago with a brand new genuine one from Nissan.
  17. Ohh and I'm also running yellow jacket coilovers.
  18. I was thinking of cleaning the AAC valve would that do anything, is it the same process as the r33 tutorial write up? Would the exhaust leak be causing it aswell.
  19. It's been like that always, when it was stock and after the tune, I do do alot of short trips, I'm running PFR8 plugs with a 0.9 gapp, car idles smooth, but you can farken smell the richness when I come to a stop or idle.

You're lucky, I get 180-200kms out of a full tank of V-Power and the only mods I have are a front mount, exhaust, 12psi boost on stock turbo, tuned to 215rwkw with a power fc, it's got a new 02 sensor, I cleaned out the AFM not long ago, new set of plugs, only thing I can think of is the exhaust leak I have at the moment but I don't think it should be that much.
