Hey guys whats good to wash the actual engine bay mainly the painted ares eg. firewall and the strut tower place thingy lol, mine r34 is white well not anymore pretty much black, I've tried export degreaser and my 2600psi gerni and no luck, would that chemtek stuff work? I've tried just washing it with soap and a microfibre cloth and it just wont budge and I cbf using any compounds to be honest its all so tight, also why isnt it good to wash the heads on the r34? is it because of the coil pack valley or something else that I should be carefull of, thanks.

  4. Sorry whats TS? whats a good boost controller that you guys would recommend? Also abit off topic, My brake pedal goes down quite abit, at idle when pumping the brake it comes to like the hard stop point then if I push a little more I can hear a click kind of noise coming from the brakes, someone has suggested to me that I should do a brake calliper rebuild, if this is correct where is the best place to get a kit from, thanks.
  5. Hey guys thanks for all your help, I thought I'd give use an update on my issue but please dont laugh haha lol. Well I removed my front bar to get my headlights out to get to the ballasts, as I went to unplug the headlight I noticed that the plug was wabbley, turns out that because I was in such a rush to change the bulb as I had to go somewhere I forgot that you have to put the plug on the bulb push and turn it, and because when I did change the bulb for some reason on my old bulb it had popped off and all I had to do was pull it off easily, I dont know why it happend, maybe because of the vibration of my sound system it turned and almost popped off, I dont know, but its fixed now and thank use all for your help, thanks.

Hey thanks for all your help guys use are amazing, 34geeteetee, yeah that's why I started this thread so many opinions etc and it just made me even more confused than when I started Haha lol, well look we all say yeah my goal is 300rwkws and that's it, but we all know how it is, you always want more, I know that I will eventually get bored of the power and want more haha lol, I've been in a few cars with lightweight flywheels and I like the feel of it if you get what I mean, thanks.

Hey guys first of all I'd like to start of by saying that I have searched the forum and haven't found anything specific to what I'm asking, and I just want to get some education on this as well as what way exactly to go about getting more power. So I'm interested in knowing more about cams and what their benefits are, don't flame me but I've been more into rotaries and own one and have worked on them for a while now and now I'm getting more into Turbo Piston setups. What are the actual benefits of Camshafts? does it allow more air flow etc? or is there more to it? Also what is it about the cams that make the motor sound more "lumpy" is it for like example a rotary bridgeport it lumps because of the overlap etc. I want to get my R34 over the 300kw mark, from what I read and understood I will write a list of what I think I need to achieve it below and a list of my current mods. As I said its a R34 GTT Series 2. Current Mods: Power FC Ecu - Tuned to 207rwkw. Standard turbo with a Turbosmart t-piece boost controller at 12psi. 3" Exas Evo cat back exhaust with a high flow cat. Separated dump pipe with the waste gate plumed back into the standard front pipe where it goes down to the L then straight. Pod Filter with custom cold air intake. Front Mount Intercooler. Now from what I understand to get 300+rwkw: GT3540R Turbo - although I don't know what size housings to get or what the sizes mean (eg. higher the number more power but more lag or other way around etc. Top Mount Turbo Manifold. Should I also get a 3" front pipe? Injectors I think it was 555cc? whats the best brand to get? Front facing plenum. Fuel pump, but which one? Z32 AFM, is there a way of getting rid of the AFM as it will look a little funny on a top mount manifold but using the Power FC. And of course a retune. I know that this has been covered multiple times, but as I said I'm kind of a noob in this scene, and prefer a specific answer if possible to avoid the confusion if anyone is willing to help me and teach me. What benefit would larger cams give me? And what size cams to go? What cams would make it sound "lumpy", I'm a sucker for lumpy cams but hate v8s . Also I'm due for a clutch very soon and I will need to upgrade it for it to handle 300rwkw's. What clutch should I go for? I'm stuck between Exedy Button clutch or a Exedy Cushion Button clutch. It's my daily but also gets driven pretty hard and I'm planning on starting some track days soon. What do you guys think of the Ebay turbo manifolds and front facing plenum's? are they any good or do they crack and leak. I'm on abit of a budget so I will be getting the parts one by one until I get them all then install them. Nah no noises from the ballast, never had a noise from either ballast actually, I haven't swapped the ballasts over yet, Ill try that tomorrow though, I wasn't sure if they were the same, arhggg so many tight spots haha lol, I just read a thread about that it could be the switch but it didn't state anything for the r34's only r32 and r33, although before if I would turn the switch on slowly I could get the lights to wink with just the passenger side turning on, thanks.
  11. Hey guys I need some help please, I have the original HID xenons in my r34 GTT and yesterday I turned my lights on and my drivers side headlight didn't come on. I changed the globes and it still doesn't work, well I put in my old 4500k in and the passenger side works but the drivers side doesn't, I doubt I have that much bad luck that I put a blown globe in haha lol. I will check and swap them over tomorrow. Could it be the ballast as I noticed the original globes that the car came with were 4500k 35w and I had 8000k 55w, could that have burnt the ballast? I had these in for about a year and a half now. I checked the fuses in the engine bay for the headlights and both are fine, are there any fuses for the headlight inside the car. What else could it be? could it be the ballast? if so how do I check if it is and if the ballast is stuffed where can I get one from. Please help I need to fix it asap as its my daily, thanks for any help in advance, thanks.

  14. 2 days in a row I've spotted a white r34 gtt coupe with black rims turning onto forest road next to shell rockdale/bexley, he's been going up and down my street quite often lately actually, just wondering if your on here, thanks.

I ordered what I thought was just a cover but ended up getting a complete key and the remote for extremely cheap, I have an idea of how to program it but am yet to try, look out in the for sale section as I'm organising a big buy to spread the love, Nissan quoted me $780 for a new key, I got mine for just under $50 plus $8 for the locksmith to cut it, I'll be selling them at the same price with no profit just key and postage cost, thanks.

  17. Man I got a wierd arse idea, how about you mould/mount a big arse radiator in the bonnet? shorter hoses than going all the way to the boot hence cooler water right into the engine, with 2 big arse fans or even 4? two on each side sucking outwards? just a thought dont rape me for it haha lol .

Hey guys I installed my bee-r and it seems asif something not right, it doesn't pop or go ba ba ba ba it's more like baaaa and then the revs drop then baaa then the revs just drop and the car kind of goes quiet, what could this be? It's run right like once or twice but that's it, I think before I installed it my little shit of a cousin turned the knobs when I wasn't looking and I noticed that the knob can just keep on turning and not stop, do you think maybe that's something stuffed? On the installation diagram that I got from here says to connect the yellow wire to pinout 44 or 45 which one should it be on, I have it on pinout 44 is that, also it's popped engine fuse number 2 why could this be, by the way it's on my R34 gtt, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

  22. Hey guys I'm looking for any help/suggestions as my car broke down tonight. Ok please don't grill me now but I stupidly installed a Bee-R in my r34 GTT today, and its got a power fc. I launched at the lowest settings 2500rpm and gain was 3, nothing detonated no bad sounds no back fire pretty much like a standard rev limiter. I dropped the clutch and the car just stalled and won't turn back on now. It reeks of fuel so I'm getting fuel and I can hear the fuel pump run. The car still turns over the same not any looser asif its lost compression, everything still seems fine. According to the power fc my crank angle sensor is ok, and the timing is at around 7 degrees when turning over and at 175 rpm. It kind of wants to turn on but just hasn't got enough in it. Although now somewhere near the tcs motor its got a whining sound, I thought maybe the butterfly got stuck closed checked that and its fine. I connected my standard ecu and it still won't turn on but the whining sound disappears but when I reconnect the power fc the whining noise comes back. I haven't been able to check for spark as it's dark now and the lighting in my garage shat itself as well a few days ago What could it possibly be and what can I look out for. the trippiest thing is that nothing detonated, checked my power fc and my knock was maximum 4. I'm really stuck and need to get the car back on the road as its my daily and need it for work. Any help is greatly appreciated, ohh and I threw the Bee-R out already , thanks.
  23. Sorry I forgot to ask, what kind of other little module's/motors are there around the traction control motor that could be making that whining noise, ohh and when I connected the standard ecu and cranked it I checked for fault codes and it doesn't come up with any just 55, thanks.
