Hey guys I have searched now for hours and hours and cant find anything relative to what my situation is, I have a r34 gtt series 2, and my tcs and slip light were on for a week or so of first owning it, reset the ecu and it went away all was good and now it comes up every now and again, the car doesnt missfire or anything and the engine light doesnt turn on at all, car idles fine, i have just replaced the spark plugs and the idle has gone up from 800 to about 1100 and also when you rev the car it doesnt go straight back down to idle anymore, it floats at about 1800 and then goes to around the 1100rpm mark, i did the ecu test and have a nissan conzult cable and I came up with error code 17, i think it said abs or throttle sensor or something like that, what could it be? its really pissing me off now haha lol, also im getting really bad fuel economy, 200kms to a tank, checked the o2 sensor on the conzult program and the voltage is around .80 on idle, could it be the o2 sensor, any help is really appreciated in advance, thanks.

Hey guys I'm stuck, all of a suddon when on standstill and I press the breaks there's a annoying creaking sound from both wheels, and the caliper moves a little, what could this be? Someone told me I might need a caliper rebuild, but both of them shit themselves at the same time? That's why I'm stumped, and you can also feel the creak in the break pedal if that makes any sense, I've already washed them and stuff, they got abit quieter but after a couple minutes the same thing, any help is greatly appreciated in advance, thanks.

Hey guys yeah it was the worst f**ken set of spark plugs I've ever had to change, ill check over all the vac hoses soon, what if I were to reset the computer would it relearn the idle? I'll let you know how I go after checking all the vac lines, thanks.

Hey guys new to the skyline and turbo piston group, i just bought a r34 it just got imported from japan, and the complience has been done in melbourne, now the guy/broker i bought it off said i would need some stock wheels to get it registered as I have to go to rta inspection? is this correct? i heard its just blue slip and if they want to they can send me to do a identification check at botany, would they look at the rest of the car? would someone in sydney be able to lend me their stockies for a couple hours for some money or beer? ill even leave you a good deposit to guarantee nothing will happen to them and you will receive them back with the same amount of rubber? do i really need them? the wheels that are on there are 18" i think and i think he said they were 10" wide at the back? is it because of the rear width that i would need stockies? any help will me much appreciated, thanks.

MrRx7s3 replied to MrRx7s3's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Hey yeah its a $58 fee, what i seriously can't get is that a blue slip involves a freaking identity check hence why its alot more strict than a pink slip, ohhhh if the ask me to do a identity check I'm going to go ape shit on their arses, yeah all the complience papers and stuff are coming with the car, just waiting for the car to get to me so I can go do the blue slip, this is rediculous, complience identity check, blue slip identity check, rta identity check, money hungry fcukers, thanks all for your help it is really appreciated, once I get the car and registered and get used to it your going to see alot more of me on here because I'm looking at doing a few mods haha lol. -
Bought A R34
MrRx7s3 replied to MrRx7s3's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
hey man thanks heaps for that was a major help, just 1 question, do i have to take it to the RTA's Vehicle Identification and Inspection Unit (VIIU)? even if you get a blue slip? money hungry dream boats. -
As far as I know and I have driven many unregistered vehicles and have been pulled over, as long as you are driving it to a place to get it repaired or anything that involves the car being registered your allowed to but make sure you ring the workshop first and tell them your coming as I have had a couple officers actually call the workshop and ask, don't put traffic plates, that was quite a few years ago not anymore, also it has to be the closest workshop to you and take the shortest route, hope that helps, thanks.

Hey guys I have finally found and bought the R34 GTT I have been looking for, I'm in Sydney and have bought it from a place in Melbourne and it has just been complied now as its my first time to buy a fresh import what's the process for me to get it registered? Do I have to get a pink slip of blue slip? I know about greenslip that's fine, is that all I need to get it registered or is there more to it? Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

hey just a quick tip that would save you a heap of time, instead of masking up the rotor and stuff, just apply a thin layer of grease, heaps quicker, let everthing dry well, rip a can of degreser out and a hose and your done.
