  1. So im much better prepared for wakefield this upcoming weekend. Oil cooler is in and working beautifully it seems. Usually I sit at about 100* on the freeway, now its < 90* Last time I used RSR's. But now I have some 275 Nitto Nt01's. With my tracks wheels. I bought some koya wheels. They weigh in at 9kg a wheel. Not bad for a non jap brand I reckon. Overall though the nittos are a pretty heavy tyre in comparison to the RSR. But the grip, so much grip Hope car goes well, all I have left is to do brake fluid and Im done.
  2. No again
  3. Mother of god that thing is HUGE
  4. Correct. Needs to be engineered. Other wise it's still a turbo for all intents and purposes
  5. Can you also try this. Unplug the afm next time you let it idle. See if it idles smoother
  6. You can buy it from bursons or even super cheap. It's just called upper engine cleaner.
  7. Are we agreeing here? Haha
  8. Up for sale are some evo 8 wheels. These are light and strong. 17 x 8 +38 Include Nitto NT01 tyres 235 45 17 with a lot of tread left. And still have a lot track days left in them as Nitto's are renowned for. No longer required as car is written off. These are a perfect fit on a s14/s15 will also fit r32/r33 GTST maybe r34GTT? These are a true semi slick. They have been stored correctly and have no signs of deterioration or cracking. Still soft and will give you much fun at the track for a fraction of the cost. $650 Located Central Coast Postage is available via courier at your expense.
  9. That's good advise. Upper engine cleaner and have the car running this time
  10. Re use the gasket. Put some rtv on it. And yes I agree with what you said. I like to leave my carbon in the motor. It has sealed my motor over 20 years haha. I don't want to disturb them
  11. Definitely pull the plugs out. Inspect. If they look shit get new ones. Make sure you gap them to 0.8mm. If your plugs look alright. Gap them down and put it back in.
  12. And if you keep shutting people down and saying hydrolock. Then obviously all you want is one person to back you up. Pull your plugs out. Start pulling shit apart. Is blowing black smoke out the back? Does it smell like fuel in the engine bay with the motor running?
  13. Fouled plugs. Clogged aac valve messed up tps. This is a cardinal rule of if it isnt broken don't fix it.
  14. They come in one compound. They are a performance street tyre. Not a true semi slick. I experience nothing like you on my rsr's. I find I overheated them at wakefield and they became a bit greasy. Maybe your issue is tyre pressure.... How much pressure are you running?
  15. That's the one! Knew I saw it somewhere. Now go and run it down the 1/4 so we can see your trap speed
  16. And hub dynos have higher readings. So you probably have 250kw at the treads. What car and mods? Why Would anyone do it back to back you ask? Because science
  17. This has been discussed numerous times on sau man. The rb26 gtr is a majority rear wheel drive car. It's Not like a evo or wrx where the car has a exact percentage split front to back. I have seen people dyno their car in awd and then rwd in a gtr and the reading was marginally different. That being said, different dynos tell different stories. And how the tuner sets it all up.
  18. Slotted rotors aren't going to give you more stopping power per say. They are designed to keep cool and disperse heat. You don't have a lot of power and you are not intending on tracking it. Get slotted rotors if you wish. And if you want to save money just get the fronts. Nothing wrong with that.
  19. Hpx would be fine. How bad are your rotors? I'd probably leave the stock rotors instead of going to rda rotors. Just get them machined.
  20. Guys. He hasn't posted a price yet.
  21. Now Mobil/711 need to bring out e85
  22. I wonder if maybe they are bedded in properly
  23. I have to agree with nizmo. I run a1rm pads. Quiet and don't feel like they are bricks when cold. Also took them to wakefield and they stopped the car every time down the straight, thank God Haha. Will be using them again at wakey next week.
  24. Are you guys still arguing about AFM vs MAP? Cant we just get along?
