  1. This might sound silly, but, were you driving hard when it cut out? Only reason I am asking is, if you have a big air leak, ie intercooler hose popped off, then it will crank and crank but almost never fire. Another thing when you checked for spark, how did the spark plugs look? clean? And try to take off the fuel line and prime the car, fuel will come out. But by the sounds of things, I think you are not getting fuel. Another thing, do you smell fuel in the bonnet after cranking it?
  2. Lol @ grease change. Thats very 60's. Just like nizmo man said. How much you can do yourself is the key. Do most of the things you can and save coin whilst still buying the good oils. Or get raped by old mate mechanic.
  3. Wow. how many scare tactics are in this thread. I'm sure old mate is aware about fuel costs and insurance. however $400 a quarter for servicing? Are you changing the timing belt every quarter? In all seriousness, if you travel 5000km every quarter that is one oil change and filter. Even if you travel double that (which is a daily GTr) then you'd need 2 oil changes. diffs and gearbox would only need yo be done annually if you are travelling 30 000+ km a year. Unless you are getting ripped on oil for your car or you're for some reason taking it to a BMW dealer then I see no way how it would cost a 130 a month in services. And the market I've been seeing is clean examples of 33's in the 20-25k budget not the 30+ Unless you regard that one 33 from parramatta road with something stupid like 30,000km on it for 33k. BTW which was a r grade import. End ramble
  4. As per rules. Post a price

  8. Yep no shims, get ready for squeal. But actually my qfm pads are doing great with no shims haha
  9. Autotechnik are great. And you couldve just purchased from them over ebay. And sorry to burst your bubble, but if you got 18" wheels they would weigh in around 8kg only the 15" wheels are 6 ish kilo. refer to this http://www.konigwheels.com/Konig-Home/Konig-Passenger-Wheels/FEATHER-BLACK And once again for the rota's. Only the 16's weigh in at 7 kilo. http://www.civiclife.net/board/topic/93972-rota-wheel-weight-list/ And they enkei's weigh in on their chart http://www.enkei.com/size_chart/RPF1.pdf 8 kilo for my 18x10.5 wheel
  10. Say wut?! If we are talking response and not better all round. There is no disputing that they go in the order of 7 9 5 10. This has been covered to death on multi page threads.
  11. If you look on the actual pen rite bottle. It says suitable for e85. Don't you think that's enough?
  12. There is a huuuuuuge thread on what you should look for when buying a skyline. Have you tried googling it? And if you want a "unmodified" one. Then contact iron chef on here and he will actor to your budget and get you what you want. Stay away from parramatta road if you are in NSW.
  13. Nah scrap that, cant find seat rails. Im out
  14. Im in, you have PM. Dont know if it has been mentioned but what is the turn around on these seats?
  15. if your car was driving 100% before you filled up. I dont see how something coincidentally broke at that exact moment unless you mistook your engine bay as the fuel tank. Also, when you fill up, it sloshes around and mixes together. Its not a layering system
  16. Well lets go through process of elimination. Car drives good -> Stop -> Fill up -> drive off -> car is shit In conclusion, all evidence points to the variable that you exposed yourself to, the fuel. Therefor empty tank with syphon, go to good petrol station, put in fuel and see if that was the problem.
  17. Do you have pics of the gtr style seats? or did I miss read? Does the same apply for them? ie, bride rails will fit?
  18. Comparing them to what you can get, ie forged wheels. Yes, they are
  19. Hard pipe kit does the trick
  20. Are we talking 600hp at the motor or at the treads here? For 600 at the fly then your setup is fine. 600 at the wheels, I think you need a surge tank with maybe 2 walbro's. but it is very dependant on what fuel you will be running to know what your fuel setup should be. I would've gone with id 2000's
  21. no need for it. Bee r is bashing a limiter. Bye bye motor gizzmo, dont know what they do, bash limiter again? bye bye motor Or Use left foot, clutch down, get that right foot and hold it at 6/7k and just before you lift that left foot plant your right foot, and launch it all about
  22. Rotas are so expensive now a days. Cost the same as my enkeis for a set of 18's. Da Fuq
