  3. I saw that same chick up at tuggerah. Rubberneck
  4. Ah i see now how this thread is. I believe the problem here in is the fact that op wants to run a unsprung clutch which I highlighted before will much gearboxes. something has to give and if the clutch cant ant the tyres dont, then bye bye driveline
  5. Jez is tuning it?! Ask him what he thinks of unsprung clutches haha
  6. Wow, getting raped. Just car under 25 R33 GTR 1200 full comp standard excess
  7. I had this same problem on my 33. Once with the powerfc and then the same with a Link ecu. Problem was the tune. All that needed to be done was the idle had to be slightly raised through the ecu. Problem fixed and never stalled again.
  8. Insurance company does not cover mechanical failure
  9. OMG! Did it just explode down and to the side? So lucky it didnt go up!
  10. He means on your wheel hahaha
  11. The reason they are mostly on SAU is, because most cars on here running strong clutches have the need for them. ie big power big launch big bang. Im sure the supra guys will feel our pain. Oh and SAU is massive and has a lot of info. But seriously if the clutch does take the gearbox there will be people that say I told you so. this is what i get when I type "nismo clutch exploding" http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/233996-clutch-housing-explosion-and-calatoral-damage/ Nothing found on nismo explosion and I couldnt seem to find anything under npc explosion
  12. I think youd definitely year about exploding clutches on SAU. Especially the big boys, exedy, nismo, npc, os. Anywho, you will need a twin for 450. It would be 10000000000x nicer to drive than a unsprung clutch. Imagine taking a sledgehammer to your gearbox with every gear change. That is what 4500lb clamp load sounds like haha. Go nismo or NPC. Both have good rep
  13. Are you saying the clutch recommended to you is a solid centre and not a sprung clutch? Solid centers are cops to drive and will eat gearboxes just because they are bored and they like the taste
