Hi all
I have a clunk coming from the front, to be more specific its either right under the pedals or its in the centre. Quite hard to pin point the exact location.
Now i have the car booked in for a inspection. Im making this thread to gauge what it could be.
Time for some symptoms.
If I drive say 60/70km/h and get right on the brakes, there is no noise, maybe the faintest noise, but it could just be me being paranoid.
But if im going 40 or below and brake hardish, I get a clunk clunk and if i dont stop during this part and start accelarating i get another clunk when the weight has transferred back.
I can replicate this quite easily in my driveway,
Go forward - brake - clunk as the car stops
Reverse - brake - clunk as car stops
There isnt any noise over bumps, in saying that, i went down a real bumpy road (downhill) and was making the same clunking noise. Other than that one incident it hasnt occurred whilest just driving.
Some say castor rod ends, some say control arm bushes. Im sure the tyre shop im taking it to will find something. I hope at least
