  1. That next gen wax. How would you rate it. Easy to apply? Remove? Shine? Does it have filling qualities? eg cover up swirl and scratches? I would really like to try it. I wonder how nice it would be for a dark car. hmmm...
  2. ah i see. My bad :S
  3. BAM! my link. This is the result. And where I bought it. Search a little more. There are other CF threads on this forum.
  4. Haha, the shortest notice ever!
  5. One day mate. Just wait until youre off youre p's. Youll enjoy it even more because of the long wait.
  6. @ Adam - Its only been on for 2 days. So far so good. I hope it doesnt start peeling, and if it does ah well it only cost $5 dollars . @Dan - After hours I get no trouble, people actually come up to me and say "thats a great idea, wish I brought my bucket". Haha. And yeh, friday night was exceptionally busy. I did not expect it. But no one bothered me. And I was there for 3 hours haha.
  7. Haha You think Im a rookie? No way will I touch any of my cars with those pieces of sh..... brooms. Because I dont have my own tap at home, I go at night with my own bucket of equipment and just use their water. I do actually care about my car haha. The CF wrap isnt that hard to apply, all you need is a hair dryer and a little bit of patience. The beauty of it is, even if you stuff up a little bit by creasing it or something you just peel it back and start again. Its very forgiving.
  8. A polish gets rid of fine scratches and swirl marks. Makes a slight difference but doesnt always get rid off all blemishes. Does make a worthwile difference though. Just use mothers or mequiars. Ive used all mothers stuff when I had a red car. Now I have a dark car and I find meguiars products works best with my paint colour. Its trial and error bro. Find what works for you.
  9. ^^^^^^^This man knows
  10. Haha, definately need get some lowering status. I hate 4x4 status. Im surprised it took so long for someone to say that . Ash tray lid will get wrapped dont worry . Also hmmm couldve used a cleanse, but ah well. Ive clay barred quite a few cars and never had a problem @Babyskyline - CF Wrap There you go. On sale for another 9 days
  11. Haha this is like car detailing 101 stuff. Polish is an abrasive rub that helps remove scratches swirls. A wax is a Protestant that seals your cars paint from the vicious mother nature. I've used a lot of products and for my dark car I find that meguiars dose the best job. Look at my thread what happens when you clay bar? You don't need to cut/polish you're paint afterwards. Just wax to seal the paint. The result is undeniably good .
  12. Summarize this ---- You come from a rich family? Buy a BMW. Yeh it will be your baby, but we all know that as soon as servicing or repairs pop up you'll get mum or dad to help out. BMW and merc are the two most expensive euro cars, followed by Audi and then Vw being somewhat reasonable. You come from a well off family and have to take care of you're own servicing? Buy a jap car. Honda is very good I've been told. Lots of parts meaning the supply and demand is good which equals lower costs. Let us know what you buy. Pics or it didn't happen. Don't buy a turbod car unless you can get an exemption. Better to have a license and a dream to drive a GTR than to have no license and a GTR you can't drive. Out!
  13. Ofcoarse I did. Washed car -> clayed -> washed car -> sealed with meguiars gold class
  14. Glorious shineyness Also I got some CF wrap off ebay. It arrived yesterday and I got cracking. I love it. Changes the whole feel of the interior
  15. and get slapped with double fines Or do what my mate did. Make up some bullshit story, and say that you have a turbod car that was purchased for you without the purchaser knowing the rules and that you would like to apply for exemption status. try that.
  16. Well the obd port is more advanced than taking a signal from a sender. Senders convert pressure or temperature to a voltage, depending on the sensor it will be a different voltage. This voltage is the signal used by the gauge aka decoder to display the pressure or temperature. Some senders may work on a voltage drop of 0-1v some mite work on 0.5 -1.2 volts. All different. Whereas the obd port carries the decoded signal already which makes much less complex and less variation, which makes it easier to make universal gauges because the criteria is smaller and the manufacturer can make a signal range equivalent to what obd ports display. Quite complex and you have to take into account the variables on what voltage signal is produced by the sensor
  17. I believe you won't be able to use the factory sensor. Different voltages, the gauge mite interperet the infoation incorrectly. That's why they offer their own sensors
  18. If it was me. 1- Oil temp / Boost / Oil Pressure / AFR I want that combination for my car. 2- Just jap or shift performance. Both located in sydney, both have online shopping 3- Yes you have to change the sensor over, the new sensor will have a different electronic signal (voltage drop) for different temperature ranges, so the gauge will only know how to use the voltage signal that the new sensor uses. Pics after install
  19. Piccies?
  20. +1. did you resistance check the fuses? They should read a short. If they are good, check if power is going to the fuse. Cutting the wire wouldn't have blown the fuse unless you short the other side (ie tail light side) to earth causing it To draw too much current, then things go pop.
  21. Whoops he ain't flyin no where for a lil while.
  22. exactly 40
  23. +1 Birds. Completely agree with cars taking a lot of thinking out of the equation. For an example, reverse cameras, great invention. As soon as you become dependant on them, jump in a car that doesnt have them. Lets see how well you reverse.
  24. That's what mine look like. . I hope mine are n1's . Free bump to you. Also if you're net getting any nibblies maybe it's time to alter the price
  25. Led's are much brighter than normal halogen type bulbs. The dispursement of light is much more direct, (straight). Using it as a indicator light will work because it is not used to disperse the light on to the road but rather draw attention to the blinking. In short yes it will work mate.
