So if you could locate acc and power, did you try connecting them and then grounding the wire? The easiest place to test to see if you have power is to just find somewhere bare on the chassis. Usually in a screw thread is a nice place. Basically do this - Connect appropriate power wires, acc/power and ground it. If no power then youve got a problem somewhere in the wire harness :S Good luck

is that when you let off at 5-7k? Sounds like youre just burning the excess which is making you go pop due to running rich... But i unno

When I was installing my head unit. I checked to see if it switched on, but it wouldnt, but the antenna would go all the way up. After tinkering for ages and finding out my own silly mistake, i found the wire to the power antenna and then found a good earth tried it again and bam all sweet. Did you install it yourself? Dash takes 2 mins tops to pull out. And that is if youre using one hand haha. If you didnt do it yourself I would take it back! If you did do it yourself unplug the antenna wire going into the headunit. Youre problem definately lies with where the antenna has been plugged into the headunit, seeing as its giving it a constant voltage which is driving the antenna motor!

Thanks for that count. Truly sorry for my noobness. I just want to treat her well. Well put it this way, the engine will be rebuilt when it either gives out due to age, or because I ran too much power. Not keen on doing one so soon. But thank you for the info. The car has made a big impression on me. Especially when you turn that key

It seems as though the 300-330 mark is right for me . I might chase more power later on. When I have the money to make it work that is! Just wondering on other things. Is it worth installing a baffle plate for a spirited street car? And is it worth replacing the water pump? I would like to do as many "little" things as possible to keep my engine in pristine condition. Thoughts, advice? Thank you very much.

Im using a bnr32 ecu. Solder a wire to line up the some of the pins for r33 plug. And its ready to go. Feels pretty nice as well.
