The FULL RACE RB26 Single Turbo Manifold does not clear the BNR32's AC compressor. I was wondering if I can use a BNR33 or BNR34 compressor in my BNR32. Custom AC lines is no big deal but I don't want to be making custom brackets or anything like that. If anyone knows if I can use stock lines from either BNR33 or BNR34 please let me know. The manifold can be found here: http://www.full-race...o-manifold.html Thanks, Carthik

Did Nissan ever make an OEM car cover for either the R32 or R32 GTR specifically? If so does anyone have the part number? Know where I can buy/order one? If Nissan didn't make one or they can no longer be found are there any other manufacturers that make R32 or R32 GTR specific car covers? Thanks, Carthik

I'm looking for a cheap new/used ebay/china RB26 T3 single turbo top mount manifold. Let me know if you have one, Carthik

I am eager to hear more! How are you sure that the specs you have are in reference to the car in the video? From what I have read, there were supposedly many variations. Would it be possible to get a scan up? If not, Please don't spare ANY details whether I mentioned them or not. Thanks!

Before burning me to search, I have went through every thread with the word "mine's" or "mine" in the title. I found many threads however all the results come up with dead hot linked images and dead links with no specific whole information in the actual threads. I'm referring to the GTR in the inline 6 shootout video: Specifically I'm looking for the following (of course I wouldn't mind more info): -Diff gearing -transmission gearing (stock r34 gtr?) -Engine block -Valvetrain/Head work -flywheel -driveshaft I know there are many others searching for this info on a daily basis so it would be nice to have a thread to find it in. Cheers.

Yes I have searched. All the search results are pertaining to a RB26 with stock internals. I am considering using stock pistons and shot peening the stock rods and installing ARP bolts and was wondering at what HP would the pistons need to be changed? The turbo I am considering will make 600 BHP. Even if the stock pistons will take that, what is the known common limit? Thanks,

I removed my RB26 head off of my BNR32 while the motor is still in the car and I was wondering what I can do without while I still have everything accessible. I read somewhere that an RB20 oil filter housing can be used to eliminate the water lines going to the RB26 oil filter housing. What about the water lines running to under the intake manifold? I am not looking to "shave" my engine bay or anything, just trying to simplify things under the hood and have less things to go wrong. Thanks,

I am putting together a single turbo setup and need to pick a wastegate and was wondering if a 38mm external gate will do without boost creep at 500 bhp. If not what is the minimum size recommended? And if it is sufficient up to how much BHP will it be good for? Cheers.

I'm tearing down my RB26 head and wondering if there are any specific tools that work well with the RB26? I prefer not to go the plier/locking plier route. I have tried it with no success and am afraid of damaging the head. Thanks,

I want to get my RB26 Head x-rayed for defects and was wondering if I need to remove the whole valvetrain? What about the intake and exhaust studs? Thanks.

Seems I made a pretty noob mistake and confused the service manual's instructions. I inverted the bolt removal process. Got the cams out now but did I damage anything by inverting the order? I'm wondering if the caps or cap bolts may have bent as some of the bolts in the caps are VERY tight now with it off the head. Did I do the head any damage? I hope I don't need a new head.

I'm in the process of stripping down an RB26 head and I have removed all the camshaft bracket bolts but the brackets at the front with the cam seals will not come loose. Is there a special method?

I'm In the process of rebuilding my RB26 and want to upgrade the standard ceramic turbos. I was wondering if the largest bolt on turbo is the Garrett GT2860R-5? Not sure if I would want to go any bigger but nice to know my options. Thanks, Carthik

Garett Gt2860R-5 Vs Gt2860Rs-5 (Disco Potato)
Carthik replied to Carthik's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks for clearing that up guys, funny I didn't look at the side notes on Garrett's website. I want to use readily available twin turbo manifolds so I want to stick to OEM style mounting. Thanks again, Carthik -
I am looking for some new wheels and tires for my R32 GTR and was wondering if anyone knew if the following wheel tire combos would fit on all 4 corners? I don't mind rolling the inner lip but don't really want to do any other fender and quarter modifications. Also the car will not be running any crazy slammed/camber setups. If anyone has any pics of similar setups on a 32 GTR please post! 275/40/17 on 17x9.5 +45 and 275/40/17 on 17x9.5 +30 Rolling inner lip necessary? Or smaller size up front? Or wont fit at all? Also, what is the stock GTR wheel size? TIA Carthik

I think I have decided on the Garrett GT2860R-5 turbos for my RB26 rebuild, but am just not sure if I should go with the "S/DiscoPotato" Version. From my very limited comprehensions of turbos, all the stats look the same except for the compressor and turbine maps which I do not understand.. Does anyone have any experience between the two? They cost the same so would going with the "S" version be a no brainer? There is also a 0.86 A/R housing option for both turbos, how would this affect performance? Links to each turbo: GT2860R-5 http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/GT28/GT2860R_707160_5.htm GT2860RS-5 http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/GT28/GT2860RS_739548_5.htm Thanks, Carthik

Nistune, Power Fc, Z32 Maf Questions
Carthik replied to Carthik's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks for the replies, cleared up all my questions! So Nistune with either z32 MAFs or Nismo Mafs should be able to give me the full potential of the 2860Rs right? I will probably go with the Nismo MAFs. What is the cost of the Nismo MAFs? Good place to purchase them? For future reference if I decide to upgrade my turbo(s), what amount of power would the Nismo MAFs limit me to? Thanks again, Carthik -
I am in the process of rebuilding my RB26 and think i am going to go with Garett 2860R/2860RS and have a few questions. I want to use the cheapest engine management possible but I do want to use the FULL potential of the 2860R/2860RS. I was hoping to go with Nistune as its the cheapest option. My question is do I need to upgrade to Z32 MAFs to max out the 2860/2860RS? How many Z32 MAFs are needed (1 or 2)? Reason I ask because I believe the cost of new Z32 MAFs are around 300 each, so at 600+500 for nistune that would put me at 1100 when Apexi Power FC is only 1000. And if I use the Power FC will I still need the Z32 MAFs because my next option would be to run an AEM EMS plug and play ECU with a map sensor for 1700. TIA Carthik

Rb26 Single Turbo Manifold+Downpipe Options?
Carthik replied to Carthik's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks for the offer. Looking to purchase brand new at the moment. Carthik -
I noticed that Greddy and I think HKS sells single turbo downpipes them in their single turbo kits, but are they available for sale separately? Or does any other manufacturers make them?I want one that will bolt up to the exhaust without any custom fabrication. What are my options? I am probably going to be using a greddy single turbo manifold but was wondering what other options are out there? Thanks, Carthik
