R34 Gt-T Dump Pipe Install + Feedback
neopowered34 replied to neopowered34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah I have they plug into stock ecu yeah like a piggyback? What does an average tune cost with one of those? By biggest concern is the tune going bad, car getting idling problems, air cond not working properly or something factory not working because of aftermarket ecu. -
R34 Gt-T Dump Pipe Install + Feedback
neopowered34 replied to neopowered34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ran it today on the stock gauge and it was about 13psi so I've brought it back to about 10-11 according to stock gauge. I have a turbo smart gauge I could test with as well but got tired of trying to find a place in the firewall to run a hose through. If I get a tune the only mods I have are the exhaust and MBC so what would the advantage be? And I'm not really up for an expensive aftermarket computer as my next mods down the track will be a front mount and that's probably it (daily driver). Can you tune the stock ECU and do I really need to? -
R34 Gt-T Dump Pipe Install + Feedback
neopowered34 replied to neopowered34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah thats ok, by freeing up the exhausts it'd be lucky to rise close to 1psi if that. Was running 7 with the catback and no MBC. Will post results when I throw the cat in and see how it responds -

Nah shouldn't rise when its on a manual boost controller and running 10psi, all I'm doing is freeing it up a bit, not really enough to worry the standard ecu. Its running very nicely as it is -
Hey Guys/Girls So last week I was checking out the exhaust setup on my R34 and it was just a simple HKS Catback, since I had ordered a turbotech boost controller I decided it would be a good idea to help the car breath better and open up the rest so I went ahead and purchased a KLS stainless steel turbo-cat dump pipe from Ebay. $235 posted. - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/230881892110?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 There are numerous options ranging from $150 up to 600+ when purchasing this however I liked this one because a) it was reasonably priced for a stainless steel one and b) it had the 2-1 flow from at the top of the flange. I got it installed into my car today (another $200) and I wanted to share so you guys can make informed decisions on your setups. As the guys at the shop told me the dump pipe normally adds a slight increase in boost response due to the more open flow and bolting directly onto the stock turbo this is a good for those not wanting to run an aftermarket/custom setup. On the drive home I didn't notice any power difference at all, and the sound still remains the same. The guys told me I was losing about 40% flow due to my OEM cat been nearly stuffed so with that in mind I have found a Xforce stainless steel for $195 posted. Will be ordering next paycheque to complete my full system! Hopefully, combining that with my new dump pipe it will see a slight increase, I do feel allot happier running 10psi with a much more open system. I will post results from my new cat when I get my hands on it, hopefully in a week or so.... It should be noted that the dump pipe fits fine but came up just short so the guys had to make a small bend to connect to the cat, otherwise is all ok with the OXY sensor etc. If I get a chance ill throw some pictures up tomorrow.

Cheap at $11,000. GL with sale love the colour -
So many qustions! I have the same NISMO kit and 100% don't want to cut the bumper, don't mind cutting the REO and I want my underneath cover to fit on again, how come you didn't go for the Blitz return flow as opposed to the vertical cooler and what are the advantages? Also was it 100% necessary to change the fan?

R34 Factory Aero Kit, Intercooler Install Question
neopowered34 replied to neopowered34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah I don't want to chop the part behind the numberplate as I think it looks untidy without it, Might look at the return flow kit, I wana run about 10psi so don't need anything special, just a bit bigger than my standard one. As for the fan blades thanks for the heads up- 9 replies

Hey Guys I have a 1998 R34 GT-T that is fitted with the factory Aero kit. I want to install a FMIC as mine is stock but do not want to cut or modify my front bumper. Does anyone know what is required to install one with this kit and point me in the direction of what I should be buying? I would prefer a black one as I don't want it to stand out, planning on building a sleeper as its my daily. Thanks in advance for your help. Geoff This is the same kit in-case your wondering: http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/x408/DrHaxZaw/frontbar_zps01271872.jpg

Shitty Series 1 R34 Interior Plastic Paint
neopowered34 replied to 666DAN's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Yeah I considered clearing my 1k acrylic with no clear. I sanded it, 3 coats of good primer and 3-4 coats of my colour and its turned out great. So far no scratching or peeling off, fingers crossed but I think it will be good. The plastic paint doesn't have a good variety, powerplus is the way to go -

Here's my pictures, crappy iPhone quality doesn't do the colour any justice! Tungsten gold is without a doubt the best colour. In sunlight its stunning 100% recommend it. Now, bit of info regarding the passenger window switch, not only do you have to take the door panel off, you then have to take apart several clips holding the switch onto the door panel! These aren't fun, you need 2x flat heads to bend clips in and push the switch out. Drivers side one just pops out, and centre console was simple enough. I ordered that shift knob from nissan to match the colours Apologies for the wonky photos -
HI Guys/Girls Was fitting a new set of wheel nuts today on my R34 and noticed that on the rear passenger side and front pass side 1 thread on each of the hubs was rusty and very short. How do I go about replacing them new ones and what part or parts do I need? Car is a 98 GT-T. Thanks in advance Geoff

Nothing really just the GT-T badges. The interior of the GT-T gets the triple gauge cluster -

So I painted mine today in the Tungsten, looks awesome. Will post up some photos tomorrow when I put it all back togeather. Will definitely be doing the both window with surrounds in the near future. Just hope the paint doesn't scrape off..... -

Sweet as thanks for the reply. I brought Tungsten today (last one on shelf!) Have used thinners to clean back the surface and gave it a light sand. Will prime it tomorrow, only doing ash tray and gear console surround at this stage, when I take my head unit out and replace it will do that part then. Good to know its all sweet without clear coat, looks great -

Hey mate, did you use powerplus tungsten? If not which colour is that you have on there? Looks good. Has any of it peeled or cracked without a clear coat also? Cheers -
