In what application where the 30 cranks snapped? I know of 2 snapping in big powered 26/30 drift cars in NZ. As far as I am aware at least one of them was an untouched NA bottom end.
Sure it can work, but if you are going to the extent of getting a true twinscroll manifold and rear housing, you surely have the cash to get twin gates, it's only an extra 3-400 depending on gate size, plus another solenoid.
I think OP might already be dead and in the ground seeing as his post is from 2002. This is one of the most impressive thread necros I have seen.
Not to mention, isn't the serial stamped on the left hand side of the block, right at the back next to where one of the 4 main gearbox bolts go into the block?
You can change the springs to set the gate pressure at whatever you wish. If you want 15psi it's better to have a gate that has 15psi worth of spring in it than a standard nissan 5/10psi spring and a manual bleed valve.
Yep I would jam a stocker R34 turbo on it at the moment and then send it to Hypergear to get highflowed when it inevitably dies. Saves a bit of coin now and you should get at least a few months out of it.
Are XR6T turbos T3?
What car is it going in and what will you be using it for? Daily driver or circuit car.
Daily I would get an R34 turbo and put it on rather than the 3540/3576 found on the XR6T.
There is supposed to be a sensor in there that detects a change in pressure when you love the steering wheel and bumps the idle up to compensate for the extra load created by the power steering pump.
That second plug is very odd. Have never seen a factory nissan plug like that. It looks like it's on the body loom though as my R34 engine loom had nothing at all like that on it.
