  1. Ughh. Do want but low on cash at the moment. Any idea if you can use the bosch knock mics that come with it to feed aftermarket ECU's? Not sure on how good the old nissan ones are and they want $130ish for a single one brand new. Would much rather spend my money on something decent like this.
  2. Alternatively send it to SimonS14 on here and get him to do a complete plug and play jobby.
  3. It's pretty easy. I'll see if I have some pics from when I did mine. There is really not much that needs to be done. Power and earth come from engine bay. Fuel pump, tacho and some other stuff go into the body loom in passenger footwell. There is a dedicated guide here in the how to section by the way. Search and Ye shall find.
  4. Is it as simple as taking the stock bolts out and putting the new arp studs-nuts in? Do you have to take bearings out etc or can everything be left in place and just the rod bolts changed?
  5. Also some more random pics. You may have heard of the golden goose, but have you ever heard of the golden gate?
  6. Safe to say I am VERY happy with this exhaust. Quiet on idle but tear-you-a-new-asshole aggressive when you open it up. This was running gate pressure of 7psi and only revving to 5k as I'm slowly working up the boost and RPM. It's so hard to not drive it like this all the time! I love the cracks from the exhaust when you get off the loud pedal, it does it in every gear and sounds absolutely nuts hahaha!
  7. Hard to tell with the pic but the one on the left is definitely not standard Nissan. Having two types of decent coilpacks (as far as SAU is concerned the only ones that are any good are splitfire and OEM) would not be an issue as long as they are still working fine. My advice is to let the car warm up and then disconnect each coilpack one by one at the clip and listen for the engine sound to NOT change. When you take a clip of and hear no change from the rough sound you know that is the coilpack/spark plug that is at fault.
  8. As piggaz said. Injectors aren't just about their ability to flow fuel. It's about how well they work at low rpm/small pulsewidths. The newer Bosch injectors shit all over older Sards/densos etc in both departments.
  9. Nah nah nah mate. The car salesman I saw in parramatta road told me I got a great deal on a mint condish genuine low kilometre car! Why does he have any reason to lie to me about it!
  10. I believe there is a company in the US that make one pieces for Toyota UZ engines after not liking the standard shim over or shim under setup. Was ages ago I was reading it but may be worth investigating see if they made any for RB's.
  11. Don't know how I could ever part with something like this if I owned it mate! Good luck with sale, I'm sure it would not be too hard to get gone!
  12. I really should tell you to put a fuse in the power/earth circuit but I think that is the least of your worries.
  13. If it was me I would splice into cigarette lighter power and then just use an earth point somewhere under the gear shifter boot.
  14. Oil pressure is almost a perfect 10psi per 1000rpm at all rom range which is good. Street tuned the car today. It certainly wakes up after 4500rpm. I think I will fix my VCT problem as it would f**king kick ass if it had it. Hitting low boost cut (5psi) at 2200rpm.
  15. Red - any 12v power supply Black - any earth Green - pin 46 Yellow - pin 44/45 Make sure you play around with the knobs as much as possible even though you have no idea what it's doing. Have fun. Post videos.
  16. You are correct. I had a massive mental blank, no idea why I thought that was the coolant temp sensor :|
  17. Coolant temp sensor is a green plug on the drivers side of radiator.
  18. I'm with Scotty and next time I change my setup will be PWM controlled solid state relay. Thinking I will test it out on my thermo fans first though
  19. Seperate bonnet latches?
  20. What ECU? Data log if possible and report back.
  21. No. 76mm bore compared to 86mm bore. Way to expensive/complicated/pointless.
