  3. If you actually read my initial post my question was why does it sound the way it does. I asked as I thought that stao would know seeing as he builds turbos for a living. Also it's beyond me how anyone can not love that sound haha. If I can use my SS2 (which I love) and also get it to sound more aggressive then what's the issue? As stao said I'm running an RB30 bottom end with what most people would consider and undersized turbo, and I don't really give a f**k about extra lag (within reason) Please understand that different people enjoy different things and not everyone has to share your viewpoint
  4. 43.5 psi with the vacuum line to the fuel pressure reg disconnected (ie atmospheric pressure)
  5. Hicas lock bar, a locking diff and a good clutch is all you need for drifting. Standard R32 lock is more than enough for you at the moment. It's not until you are hitting lock stops every time that you need to worry about that. Changing to R33 power steering pump is not required. There is a tutorial on here somewhere that shows you how to do everything.

  11. It was too small inner diameter. No damage done and only noticed when I took my gearbox out.
  12. What's the OD of the plastic bushing? It looks like the small one to me which suits RB20 DE and DET, RB25DE, RB25 Neo DE and DET, and RB30. IE it suits every RB gearbox except R33 RB25 which I'm assuming is the one you have.
  13. In r32 gts-t (not sure if Gtr are the same) they have a clutch cooling loop. Same principle as power steering cooling loop in front of your air con condenser. It's pretty rubbish and makes it difficult to bleed. I ditched mine in favour of a braided line straight from master to slave.

  16. No that was due to Nissan sending me the wrong spigot and my mechanical inexperience (first time installing one, had no idea what I was doing!) didn't realise it was incorrect size. But still put anti-seize/engine oil/some form of lubricant on it and the gearbox input shaft before it all goes back together.
  17. Oh true, didn't think about the boost solenoid. Not that anyone uses that anymore anyway, everyone I know just uses boost tee or electronic boost controller.
  18. Same looms as far as I am aware. Find the R33 service manual and compare the ECU pin out and Wiring diagrams
  19. Okay so after going to WTAC and FD Asia on the weekend and hearing the RX7 running 13B+T51R I am in love! Thought you would be the best person to ask stao, what exactly makes the massive turbo spool/whistle sound that the T51R is known for? It sounds so good haha, you should make a one off SS2 for me that sounds like that!
  20. No he means the last part of the input shaft that tapers down to fit inside the brass bushing (spigot) that sits in the end of the crank and locates the gbox input shaft. In the picture it's the part of the shaft with the smallest diameter. You also get bonus pictures of my old and new spigot.
