It's not a MAP sensor in the typical term. The only function it provides is boost monitoring. If more than 14psi is seen it provides the ECU with a fault code. I believe that's the only fiction that it provides.

Boost Restrictor Removal Opinions R33 Gtr
iruvyouskyrine replied to livewire's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You are all missing the point. Dear OP. No one on this forum (as far as I am aware) worked for Nissan in Japan between ~1986-2003 so therefore cannot give you an absolute clarification on whether or not the restrictor was put in so that GT-R's would adhere to the 'gentlemens agreement' What everyone else IS saying is that there are many logical conclusions all pointing to the fact that, yes, GT-R'a came from the factory at quite a bit less than their potential allowed for. This gives reason to believe that yes the restrictor was indeed put it place to keep the GT-R's tamer and not break the agreement. While attempting to adhere to the agreement though, I would not say it was the sole reason for limiting the cars output, there would have been many other factors influencing that particular decision. So, once again. Nobody on this forums can answer your question in absolute terms. Although the answer is almost certainly yes. -
NISTune still available, and it's Manual. Also not willing to desperate IACV just yet mate may have someone keen on the whole plenum, will send you a PM if that changes

I measured my virgin bore RB30 block and they were 86mm+/- .1mm Also it is my understanding (happy to be corrected) that your pistons rings will wear much faster than the engine block. I am using a 1.3mm (.051 thou) cometic MLS as that is the standard headgasket size. I have had approximately .008 thou taken off the head from skimming when I got the VCT jacket welded. If someone can point me in the right direction on how to calculate static CR I will do it, and I will comp test it when it's all assembled Unfortunately I am not near the car until mid July, so don't hold your breath

Can we make it that anybody who posts a new topic with the title 'injectors' in it just gets redirected to a search with the words 'injectors,Xspurt,Scotty,ID,Bosch,EV14 and impedance'

Rb25 Exhaust Manifold Spacer
iruvyouskyrine replied to wildeagle44's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Unfortunately it looks awfully similar. Who did you purchase your manifold through mate? Hopefully it wasn't the same place as me. Can PM me if you don't want to post it up here. -

Also did you buy it straight from him? I didn't but he said if I had of purchased direct he would have been happy to fix the issue free of charge. -
Rb25 Exhaust Manifold Spacer

I ended up getting mine cut and re-welded on at a different angle. Cost me $100 I think you should give him a call and let him know that it's having issues fitting, when I talked to him he said mine was about the 4th time he had ever heard of it with his RB manifolds. Be interesting to see what he says to you. My turbo only clears by maybe 5mm now as you cannot move the flange to far otherwise you won't be able to get your wastegate on. Mind chucking up some pictures? -

What Are These Plugs Meant To Be Connected To? (Rb26)
iruvyouskyrine replied to gtr jet's topic in General Maintenance
Go ahead! You I'll need to bring front crossmember, steering rack, tie rods, LCA's, knuckles, struts and wheels. Oh and a trailer to put it on. Probably won't be worth stealing though as the only thing it has in it ATM is a passenger seat! Haha -

Best anti theft device (short of them towing it or trailering it) is a simple switch in your fuel pump line. Just run it down near the drivers side kick panel and flick it off when you leave the car. Can crank it for days but will never get any fuel. -
Scotty plz. Manifold PSI's aren't as valuable as boost PSI's duhh.

Okay Jesus Christ this is a roller coaster. Keep your R33 head and slap it on an RB30 bottom end. Keep your turbo. Buy X-Spurt 1000cc injectors. Sell your Power FC and buy a Link/Haltech. Keep standard intake manifold. Keep the hot side (turbo side) all the same. Get it tuned by a REPUTABLE tuner. Run it at 20psi and enjoy obscene amounts of power, who cares what it makes, 300kw is just a number. I guarantee you will be happy with whatever it makes. This is the best/cheapest/easiest/least f**king about way to do what you want.

As Superben said it has all been pretty much covered before mate. You are in the right place for starters, the 'forced induction' section, now all you have to do it scroll up to the top and you will see an RB30 section. Spend a week reading through both of those (Use the search function if you are looking for specific info) and then come back and ask any questions you still have. Plenty of people here are more than happy to help people out, but sometimes you just have to help someone help themselves Good luck mate!

Don't Hate Me . But I Need Advise.
iruvyouskyrine replied to Patrol rd28's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Puting a RB25 into a patrol really isn't that difficult. Has been done countless times before so the info is out there. I would do the opposite and jump on a patrol forums and have a look. -
Yep cam backing plate had to be cut a little to clear but that's not really an issue. And it just clears the FFP

-4 AN fitting -4 AN fitting in block -4 AN 45 degree fittings x2 -4 AN braided line Fitting welded to head Oil gallery in head welded Head skimmed Total was $190 not sure exactly how much it was to get head skimmed. Will ask my fabricator next time i see him.

Nah mate got it done by a fabricator, don't trust myself with the welder enough yet! Was decked after being welded, only a few thou came off though. Nothing drastic enough to affect compression anyway.
