  12. If you are drifting and are looking to get the most out of the R32 steering (without spending ridiculous amounts of money) you will need > R32 steering rack is fine, but R33/S14 is probably worth it if your current rack is no good. > Getting your knuckles modified by JDI Fabrication in melbourne > Longer tie rods (a requirement if you are getting your knuckles modified) > Standard R32 tie rod ends are fine > Steering rack spacers > Modifying X-member to move the steering rack forward > R33/S14 lower control arms as they are 10mm longer All of these are about as far as you can take it without getting ridiculous. The longer tie rods you need come from an A33 maxima and have a part number of RE1050, the standard tie rod ends are fine. I just received my R33 LCA's today and measured them as there was a lot of grey info on the net about them. They are almost exactly 10mm longer and the bump stop is a concave shape as opposed to the R32 item which is straight, effectively allowing more steering angle before it hits bump stops. And here is the crossmember when it has had the steering rack mount moved forwards 15mm
  13. This is relevant to my interests. I presumed the standard cable would be long enough to reach. Any info on this appreciated.
  14. Were they standard heads simon or running different cams? Maybe clearances weren't checked if they were aftermarket cams?
  15. Climate control sold! R33 S2 throttle body sold! RB26 440cc injectors sold! Also to come, OS Giken clutch push/pull converter, will have pics up in the next day or two.
  16. That is exactly the setup I am going to be running with the new engine, and the Neo head has the added benefit of 9.5:1 CR

  18. I'm going to assume its gone to SS3 specs? Should have tried his fancy VNT setup.
  19. It did feel amazing, was super stoked with it. But when i had to remove the turbo to replace exhaust manifold studs (for unrelated reasons) i forgot to hook the wastegate actuator up. Drove it for a few days without giving it much then when i did hit it, i saw the boost gauge read past 2.5 BAR, lifted the head, bent #6 rod, scored the block, game over! Was my own mistake no blaming anyone so i just have to learn from it haha. New build is completely standard RB30 wrecker bottom end and slap the NEO head on and see how we go. Same turbo just external gate and E85 now, should be good Sorry for the off topic-ness Disco. All in all, it was amazing to drive and looked completely standard, as i kept standard neo top feed fuel rail. I would gladly recommend it to anyone as a cheap way to get very good results.
  20. My budget build was as follows Engine mods: RB25DET Neo with 150xxx KM, completely unopened (std EVERYTHING), 1000cc X-Spurt injectors, Hypergear ATR43SS2 internal wastegate. Supporting mods: Walbro 400 lp/h fuel pump, R32 GTR standard intercooler, 3" bellmouth dump to leaky 3" exhaust, NIStune ECU, Profec B spec 2, Tuned by Trent from chequered tuning, fuel was pump 98 octane. literally all that was done to the engine was injectors and turbo, and appropriate supporting mods. It's an awesome example of what can be done if you correctly choose your modifications and don't just have a fistfull of cash you are looking to spend.
