hey guys,
ive got a 1996 r33 s2. about 5 months ago (i know its too late to be posting now but better late than sorry i guess) i changed the water pump myself, using an online guide. Now being an idiot i missed the part where it says to align everything before taking off the timing belt. i only realised later. so i didnt move anything at all, and called a mate of mine (he knew his stuff). he came to check after i put everything back together. so he turned the harmonic balancer by hand basically and said it should be fine, but the timing belt might be off by 1 or 2 teeth. so i turned on the car and everything was fine, and am still driving it to this day. my question is, is the only way of checking if everything is alright is by taking it to a dyno? and if i did lose performance, is there a way to align things back to normal without spending thousands? basically i have to take everything off again right?
